I never said that.... I said voice chat is useless if you know the fight inside out. Also.... nearly all a12s voice parties don't go past phase 1 and you can try it in pf yourself :)
Here we go again, I do know a lot of people wish that WoW was the solution to a lot of new ideas/inventions/new genre of gaming etc, but it wasn't, as well as it wasn't the first mmo. There have been other voice programs prior, you know the time before wow was even a thing ?! I understand a lot of today's gamer's weren't around to that time, or not aware of things like that since they weren't implemented for their genre of games etc. For example there was Battlecom, GameVoice and much later on Ventrillo, Mumble, Teamspeak, Discord, Kik were added, and I am pretty sure there's plenty more of these programs, that I can't think off right now.
to the OP, we've played games back in the day and never needed any voice communication. While I do agree it's quicker when using these kind of programs compared to actual typing, I still think it's not necessary. After my first static broke (ts/discord/mumble mandatory even outside of raid times), I tested plenty of other servers, different statics, fc's, cleared lots of content via DF/PF and let me tell you, it was so much more enjoyable than listening to a bunch of people 10+ hrs a day. But those times are gone and with the new generation of gamers/gaming, that's the first thing people will ask you: Do you have VoIP & a microphone?
Sad times.
