The toxicity doesn't derive exclusively from the "top players", new players are equally at fault. Those type of newcomers are the most aggravating players. No one has ever said ranked solo queue is only for "top players". I don't understand why people jump to this conclusion when regarding players that don't know the basics of their own job.Quote:

how hard is it to add unranked mode 4v4 for practice? i would participate in that mode more than the ranked mode just for fun lol, for when i would be saving my rank XD. 4v4 unranked mode shouldn't give eso or give minimum like 5 eso . so we don't have to deal with eso farmers :P

I am the leader of a Free Company that has a large population of very highly ranked pvpers on the Aether Data Center, and we love to see other members of our FC start to play the feast. Those new players keep the game mode alive longer, and keep it fresh from seeing the same faces over and over every season. Players without that support though are just thrown into the pit with people twice their size (figuratively speaking) and will get nothing but discouraged by experienced players who are frustrated to have waited up to 30 minutes in queue just to instantly lose because they happened to get matched with someone who has never played before. Unranked players should be priorized into their own grouping, much like those that are Gold Ranked and above are suppose to (although this does not work at all). That way they would see matches with people of similar experience to at least get them started. The feast solo queuing system right now is completely broken, and frustrating for all players, not just the bottom or the top of the leaderboard. -

Pretty much stopped PvPing because of the frustration that comes from the match making. I was activity playing on Aether last season and the start of this season. I could probably grind through the madness of the current match making to be where I want, but the amount of frustration it started causing to get unranked/bronze players on my team or the plethora of people just leaving before the gate opens matches isn't worth it anymore.
When I saw that gold/plat/diamond would get matches together this season I was happy to actually see competitive matches, but out of the 100+ games I've played I've maybe seen 1 game where I had 2~3 gold+ on my team and the other. The algorithm that they're using must be broken or not actually what is advertised. -

On Primal there's somewhere around 20 or 30 gold ranked players. On Aether there's maybe 30 or 40. That seems like a lot, but when you compare that to the VAST majority of players who are still unranked-silver rank, then it's not hard to see why gold players are being teamed up with lower ranks than themselves. Consider the fact that not all of those gold players are on at the same time, and it's even easier to understand. I'm really not sure what people are expecting to see here, especially this early in the season. The fact is that there's really not enough players, especially at gold or higher, for the algorithm to be working any differently than it is right now.Quote:

Problem is you're given 1 min before the gates open to explain the plan to everyone. Most of the time w/ more experience players much doesn't need to be said. Inexperienced players need more coaching and guidance which is complicated to fit into that 1min. 1/2 the time players aren't even loading until 20~30 seconds. You also can't teach someone their class and it's extremely obvious when a healer isn't up to par. -

It's pretty sad when I see even the best players on the leaderboard struggle to climb, and quite a few of them LOSING points some days, especially with how good their winrates are. Top 30 or so on Aether is a clown fiesta because matches are being decided solely on who gets more bronze/unranked players in their party, and it's showing. Everyone's progress this season is really slow, and a lot of top players aren't even queuing anymore, or only queuing at certain times just to avoid the insane RNG swings.
