SMN is Broken in PvP

I have had summoners sic their titan and ifrit egi on me as a dragoon lol. If I were the tank on that team I would be so angry with that smn cause all he is doing is building up my stun resistance as I'm chasing down the heal while the tank flails at me helplessly unable to stop me. I don't usually conform with the standard of "kill the smn first" as let's be honest the majority of the heals in the solo rank matches are not any good so therefore it's much easier to just kill the heal and watch the others fall like dominos. Therefore even though I'm not a tank I'll still relentlessly go after most heals over the smn. I suppose that's why they sic their pet on me but they don't seem to realize it hurts more than help.

really the only class i can see gettin a nerf in pvp is monk ._. but in saying that seen some really bad monks that die alot aswell

I don't play smn so I don't know what all they have, but mch has an aoe stun, a regular stun, a knockback, a bind, and a heavy.

Smn gets a radial bind, a ranged bind that hits in an aoe (both with no cooldowns mind you), knock back via Garuda, stun via ifrit/Titan. For mch, both their stun requires melee range (which means damage penalty), one has a long cooldown and the other is shared with silence. Heavy and bind also share cooldowns.

If you're worried about the damage penalty on your MCH stuns you aren't thinking about it the right way. All of the CC you listed for MCH is instant cast with somewhat reasonable cooldowns. A smn casting tri-bind takes away a lot of pressure on their enemy healer since they aren't doing anything but letting their dots tick. It also reaches diminishing returns if you just spam it. Binds are pretty lose CC I don't really see how cc is even part of the argument against SMN. As the other poster said the stun on from pets is just wasteful and lets you reach immunity to stuns faster

- My point is that if I'm going to run into/am in range to use my stun, I won't be bursting anything if I had the chance to do so. It also eliminates the use of it being a means to lock down someone mid burst.

- Swiftcast exists for SMN, and even without swiftcast the fact that tri-bind can hit in a collective AoE (as well as blizzard II for that matter) makes it a much more powerful tool for self-defense (which is also the context of my post) and CC alike to alleviate pressure off themselves or anotehr healer (might I add that tri-bind is also more reliable, although that's more because of the ping/latency)

- Pets wasting DRs would only be the case if the SMN is keeping them on sic, otherwise this shouldn't even be a discussion because the same could be said for MCH's single target stun

One Ilm Punch does nothing against competent SMNs who dont hold onto Aetherflow or Dreadtail. It isn't a counter and I wish people would stop spreading this misinformation. It's a counter to SCH because they HAVE to hold on to stacks to access instant heals. SMNs dont have to hold onto them

A good mnk will stun the SMN if they still have it, or if they see them pop Dreadwyrm you stun them and OIP it off.

The point is people need to stop complaining about SMNs cause they're not that broken lmao. All these new people that are getting into pvp complaining that they're getting 1 shot. Any job and technically "1 shot" you.

Every job cannot kill you in the same time frame as a SMN thats just false...its not even close. I dont think your truly understand how fast a SMN can get off 3 stacks of aether and an instant dread+deathflare. SMN basically has the TTK (time to kill) of a melee without the need to be in melee range its pure silliness and if you cant recognize that I don't know if there's much reasoning possible
