Oh SE, You completely missed the main problem with endgame crafting/gathering

Not sure what you're trying to say here. Crafting is more irrelevant for DoM/DoW recipes since 3.0 than at any point in ffxiv's history.

In prior patches, crafters made their gil from end-game dom/dow gear that could be melded and provide an advantage in progression groups. They would also sell DoM/DoW gear so people could meet Ilvl requirements for entry level raids, as well as for glamor. The i180 DoM/DoW recipes cannot realistically do any of those things. Sure it would allow you to meet the Ilvl requirements for Alex, but the price you would have to pay takes that away as an option.

Anyone that wants good gear while levelling is going to look for crafted gear for the slots they don't yet have dungeon gear of a suitable level. Except end game crafting is not relevant because the 2 star market is barely even existent on any server and never will be until changes are made. Apart from that, we have housing items, old glamours and that's it. Not even anything new for alchemist or culinarian, which is ironic because they are the most useful and most relevant crafts.

Imo its gonna be even worse for ppl who didnt start the crafting grind on red scrip release.
Cuz some ppl i know said they plan on crafting after they r done leveling jobs/ done alex savage.

The amount of items u get per turn in ( i.e purified coke ) needs to be increased or the amount to get it needs to be lowered. Cuz the grind is insane for a lot of hardcore crafter as there very little reward for doing so atm.
So rushing to gear up now means nothing as ppl who gear up later will most likely yield same results. No more
" craft to get ahead = profit "
Its more so now
" craft to craft = no profit if already at 2* req "

Just be like me and don't bother with favors.

The 170 versions of the gear are better by such a ridiculously miniscule amount-like you won't even notice a major difference (aside from the one hundred million gil that you didn't spend), and they're only that if you overmeld grade Vs!

Just pick your favorite craft and get the 180 versions. If future crafts require a melded i170 (which I doubt they will), you can just eat beet soup.

The first step to fixing the problem (not the only step) is making the acquisition of scrips like beast mean tribe quest. The scrips should not cost the DoH / DoL. That way it is on par with the DoW / DoM.

If it does not cost DoW / DoM gil to obtain the tome gear it should not cost us gil.

Until there's actual reason to strive for BiS, there's... well... no currently relevant reason to not go after those equips if that's what you want to do. People STILL argue in favor for spending millions to pentameld the 3.0 crafting BiS, when there is literally no good reason to do it. IMO, go subpar equipment with your own needed melds. Currently, majority CP melds are the absolute most useful thing to go for. If anything, 3.0 crafting has shown us to just spend what you want and do what you want. If you don't care to be in BiS, you don't have to be to make profit. Besides, in nearly every situation of the game, BiS is nothing more than a status symbol. Keep in mind the keyword there: nearly.

So you're saying we should wait until that BiS gear is needed, and then complain about how to acquire it? If you don't think it ever will be needed, then why is it even in the game? In either situation there is something drastically wrong with the system.
