That's the start of the rotation why wouldn't a DRG do Heavy thrust it gives a 15% increase in damage. DRG are supposed to keep the HT up to maximize damage. I'm confused by your comment.

Oh hai! I hear this is the "I'm better than everyone else" thread.
Yah quit sucking all the time sucky ninjas!
/wait 5
Nope. Brow beating an entire class just doesn't lift my spirits :/
All the Ninjas who don't use Ninjutsus are disrespecting the people in their party that actually do their job.
I know this. Most Dragoons don't. Hence me wondering about the increasing number of Dragoons actually using it.
I made this thread as a Ninja main, because frankly, people who give the job a bad name rub me the wrong way.
And to the people who apparently have never seen a Ninja not using Ninjutsus: You probably don't use the DF and go to CT/STWoD very often? You get all kinds of Ninjas there, some don't use them at all, some use single target Dotons, some never use Huton...only a few actually do the correct rotation.
First off, I admit to leveling my ninja through FATEs to get it to 50 (I needed something to do and our ping was a painful 400+ for a couple weeks) so I kinda jumped straight into Laby & Syrcus as soon as I was comfortable end-game. So I'm by no means an experienced ninja (like at all, I don't have much time to play it because of alex grinding and WoD gear for my SCH and whatnot). I'm a ninja noob who's wading slowly into the endgame ninja waters. xD Please (pleaaaase) correct me if any of this is lolNIN, but I'm going to share my common sense that I didn't have to look up or hear from others to figure out.
I have Huton up anytime I can (sometimes I forget...I'm not settled into NIN rotations 100% yet) and I don't touch Doton unless there's more than 4 or so mobs. I use Suiton only when trick attack is up and Raiton any other time that I don't need to refresh my Huton. I haven't used the fire AOE one in Laby/Syrcus because I'm not sure if I should be. I'm a bit scared to stun so I don't do it. I don't want to miscalculate it and stun the wrong thing, because as a SCH, I know how bad that can be for the rest of the party/raid.
I do that whenever I can to bosses. It just felt like common sense, and I haven't had much time to actually play NIN either. It's just...580 potency + a debuff that makes them take more damage from other people? Of course you should be using that whenever you can (with some exceptions - I'm sure if you need to not push phases you shouldn't use it)
I don't know exactly how fast endgame tank TP drops but I use Goad about 3-4 minutes into a (boss) fight on the tank. I've never seen a tank ask for it so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or right. I don't want to be waiting until they're almost out because from what I have encountered so far leveling my GLD with my boyfriend's ROG, Goad supplies even TP for one attack each global cooldown. In Halatali on one of the bosses, using Fast Blade > Savage Blade combo (Rage of Halone is above the sync level) I started with about 450 TP when I asked him for Goad and I ended with about 450 TP when it was over.
What a lot of you need to know is that a lot of people are playing on console. Now I play ninja and its just hard to keep thumb on stick to move and dodge while trying to do mudras depending on whats in your crossbar, and sometimes switching crossbars while in tense battle, while trying to dodge, while trying to keep rotation, while trying to find out who needs goad is very hard to do. Instead of complaining about why some people aren't using certain skills, trying to find out why that person isn't using it would be more productive than a thread that has no purpose than to once again, bash and alienate a group of players. Some of you people on here kill me. I wanna think most of the players in this community are mature and not children...but alas..it looks like that's what it is.
Qilymepye, i play on ps4 and at no point do i have trouble casting mudras whilst dodging etc.
I suggest to address your hotbar to place all necessary skills in a way that is most comfortable to use
And thats fine Stupid(what a name), but not everyone can play the exact same way. I have lots on my screen as is, switching crossbars and such is fine for some but not everyone can do it as fast as others. Also, i listed more than mudras, because lets face it, you are either switching your crossbar a ridiculous amount, or you have to put most of your most useful skill on one full crossbar, while leaving others out. It can be difficult and can lead to many mistakes. Especially while trying to continue rotations and other things. Its not easy and not everyone can do it the same. Now, my hotbar is cool, but there is delay and also if im rushing to pull off a skill and hit wrong button because Im trying to switch crossbar while dodging an attack....its tough. Fun, but tough. And it doesnt help that the job is "squishy".
