That summed it up very nicely. I honestly wish they'd have offed anyone, especially Minfilia (gods forfend we have to listen to her all through Heavensward) other than Moe Moe. I just finally caught up and couldn't believe they chose her of all the possibilities. Also, what's up with the CSes near the end of 2.55.1 involving random tertiary characters no one cared about to begin with?

I sincerely hope there's some actual ANSWERS (no pun intended) in 2.55.2 as to why we were arbitrarily stripped of our light. The vague and mildly ominous references made via Midgardsormr made absolutely no cohesive sense when compared to what Iceheart had said in the previous patch.

But hey, for me, that scene should've fortold the beginning of the fall of the Ascians. And also the fall of the Scions themselves.
But hey, considering the Ascians are also presumably called Scions of Light, you could say that that scene symbolizes the difficulty of killing an Ascian.

All in all, at the end of that scene, I was shocked to see it. But kind of understand why they put it there. It's to show that what Lousioux did in 1.0 is almost the same as Moen. Sacrifice for the greater good.

...And then 2.55 came and I was stuck to the screen until the last of the cutscenes.
