Carbontwine and coats from hunts? doing this to us again?

I would be fine with it if you only could get carboncoat... But you can already get carbontwine, way before many people at all have got it from Final Coil. That the weekly Wod quest doesn't give carbontwine is also just weird, considering it's a weekly thing and all...

When ST came out, there were no hunts and it gave you Oils and Tomestone on weekly lockout, then later sands in ST and hunts got into the game... Why did they change that now? It's way too early for everyone to walk around in full 130 gear.

People will have full 130 soon... If I didn't have to farm for my relic at the moment, I would have gotten the carbontwine really quickly. It's only 3000 seals with hunts giving double the amount they used to, and I got 900-1000 seals a day before the patch.

Yeah, i find it pretty weird that for a weekly they give you a carboncoat to upgrade an accessory but puts both of them in hunts. I wouldn't mind if was a carbontwine in the weekly because for me it makes more sense but it seems SE believe Hunts is the way to go and they wont need to do much. Still annoys me, i would rather go through WoD and get carbontwines and coats instead of braindead Hunts which i hardly have fun with.

Hunts got introduced with 2.3, just like ST. It was basically the same as it is now: weekly oil via ST, infinite oil/sand via hunts, with the tomstone being available in ST from day one as the only real difference.

Haven't received a log from hunting yet. Unfortunate that Maintenence happened right as S ranks were primed.

Something tells me you're not wise to the hunt game.

A tank can easily get credit by themselves with a bit of emnity skills. I've done this several times when I see an A rank pop out if nowhere.

Switch to paladin. Shield oath. Spam the hell out of skills. Full credit. No party.

This is also why hunting parties favor whitemages and tanks. You will always get full credit.

People just see that Hunts can give seals to buy logs, which you buy carbon and coats for, but if you work out the maths you will find it will take about a week of grinding to get even one, excluding lucky log drops. It is 500 seals for one mark log, and you need 6 logs for 1 Carbontwine, that is 3000 seals. And for the coats you need 1500 seals.


And S rank gives 100 seals now. You would have to hunt 30 S rank monsters to get 1 Carbontwine, S ranks have 3 day spawn...

My only perk about being on a low pop server like Zalera is, you can easily get max credit, and for the most part, you have time to reach the hunts. Also, WHM ftw. Spamming Divine Seal Medica 2/1 and Cure 3 = full credit.

Speaking of which, Garlok popped right when maintenance starts. Ppl went crazy in LS & shouts, and lag-fest too. Killed it past 1 minute of maintenance start hour and we dc-ed. It was hilarious. XD

Daily hunts give 64 seals (math might not be right). Weekly hunts give 100. A ranks give 40 seals. They sit on a 3-4 hour timer. There are a ton of them.

You can EASILY obtain much more than 1 carboncoat a week. Depends on how focused you are.

I would not waste allied seals for the carboncoats since you can get one every week from the crystal tower.
