Do you ppl even read OP ? its not about reintroduce morale bonus but replacing it with determination and i think its actualy good idea. Yea i70 warwolf and i55 wolf gear would still be useless but i90 and i100 would be actualy usefull and with same stats cuz of levelsynch. i100 would be basicly vanity gear for ppl over 32rank. There are many ppl that run fronlines in i70warwolf and normal pve gear, when you grind out frontline BIS you are around 50crit + 50det above them, its not that much but still usefull bonus. And this is exactly what is OP asking for. Atm you have to run stone vigil or other dungs with 0.01% chance to drop some of those BIS pieces. This way ppl that like and run pvp all day long dont have to spend their time doing pve and just use PVP gear.

I read it and understood, but any additional bonus regardless if it is morale or determination would have a detremental effect on frontlines for the reasons I mentioned. People would get bored of playing and loosing all the time to people that have a distinct stat advantage. Regardless of their methods of obtaining their gear, it would have the same result of driving the casual player/new people away because it simply wont be fun.

With the current balance its fun for everyone and wins are all based on Skill, Strategy and Coordination!

I think the only way to resolve this would be to introduce some more smaller scale PVP content where the gear is relevant again or create 2 queues in the DF for frontlines, one where PVP gear stats work and one where they dont.

I would react exactly the same because exactly what you described has happened already in a way.. all those hours put in to Coil 1 only to have them nurf it with Echo and everyone is running around in full Allagan gear, the same gear people dedicated a tonne of time and effort to obtain!
Guess what, it will happen to Coil 2 eventually and it's reason i'm not bothering with it, as the time and effort required to get a static together isn't worth it knowing that whatever gear I get will be easier to obtain when new content is released.

The PVP gear is still good for Wolves Den and I don't doubt they will introduce further PVP content where it is usable.

There's a big difference in still being able to USE your gear you obtained and catching everyone up versus what happened in pvp where PvP gear is now WORSE than pve gear and everyone in pve gear has an advantage over you and your gear is useless. I don't even have pve gear for my DRG (my pvp class) anymore. It's not the same. They also gave you (all the hours you put into coil 1 guy) a new tier to obtain while the rest of the crowd was catching up. The same thing did not happen to you. I would specifically be okay if everyone else got a free pass to pvp gear. Catching everyone up is always less of a blow.

I don't think you understand. It wouldn't be an ADDITIONAL bonus at all. Currently, Morale, which is on all PvP gear, is 100% useless for Frontlines. Morale takes the place of another stat for PvP gear. That means that, in Frontlines, PvP gear is missing a stat altogether when compared to PvE gear of the same item level. This thread isn't about getting an advantage in PvP gear, it's about making PvP gear just as good as PvE gear of the same item level in Frontlines.

Currently, PvE gear has that stat advantage that you're arguing against. We just want it balanced out for Frontlines.

And really, if there's some concern about us bringing i100 PVP gear into PVE content? They already have gear syncing and altering stats when you go into frontlines. They already have gear with conditional stat bonuses (hello GC Gear!)

Make the stats on PVP gear conditional.
Like So:
While in Frontlines, Swansgrace has bonus Spell Speed.
This doesn't take effect anywhere else. And that's it. Just add stat buffs equivalent to their PVE counterparts.
Now PVP gear is as good as PVE gear in frontlines only. It's functionaly exactly the same as it's always been in PVE and Arena PVP - subpar to PVE gear and way too OP for Arena pvp.

My apologies for the lack of understanding on my part. I was unaware that Morale replaces one of the stat slots that of PvE gear as apposed to being in addtion to them. So this makes more sense now. Thanks to those who took the time to point out my error.

Now I do understand, I agree that it is unfair that they have completely disabled the stat and made it inferior to PVE gear.
I usually go in Myth gear and with the amount of Myth Tomes I got just doing front lines I can buy a whole new set in no time at all. Not that its a solution but perhaps a temporary one for those that don't have any until they fix this problem.

I'm glad I could help clear that up. I'm sure you're not the only one who thought that in this thread, either, so no harm done.

Yes, I've been trying to gear up with the Myth Tomes, as well, to replace my PvP gear. I'll continue to do so until they fix the problem, of course. My only issue is that I like PvPing as a tank in a way where I seem like a mildly weaker DPS with slightly stronger defenses (in other words, I focus STR [via trinkets and attribute points] and take advantage of my tank CDs and heavier Defense values while playing like a Support-DPS). If a tank piece doesn't have accuracy, it has parry, or sometimes it has both. Both accuracy and parry are largely useless in PvP. Accuracy is only useful during Blind, and Parry is only useful against other melee. Neither really make a substantial difference to the strength of a PvP tank.

That's why I want PvP gear fixed, personally. They put determination on nearly all tank PvP gear, which is the perfect stat for us. If they could supplement that with small amounts of accuracy (on around 2 pieces), maybe another 2 pieces with parry (preferably two VIT accessories would have it) just to fit the theme of a tank, and then the rest with Skill Speed or Critical Strike Rating, then I'd be a happy PvP TankPS.
