Ilvl has become a hindrance and there is no way to cure it.
the funny thing is:
the higher the ilevel the easier it gets.
these so called "professional gamers" do fear slightly higher difficulty.
you can beat titan very easily by being ilevel 70. but nowdays they search for ilevel 80/85 people who are almost at ilevel cap.
its quiet ridiculous and embarrassing.
i dont have a problem with that to have a ilevel 65 (or whatever the restriction is) guy in a titan party... if he knows what to do.. and hey.. my blm is at least ilevel 85 to compensate this.
but i slowly get the idea that those players really think that ilevel 70 players hardly can beat titan... which is definatley not the case.
I totally agree that ilvl does not equal skill, no ifs ands or buts. The thing with party finder though, it allow you to ween out the bad players more quickly. Chances are a highly skilled person will have full 90 or at least 82 and above. So you get all these people together for a primal, someone isn't cutting it, then its a smaller pool to recruit from when you must replace someone. If you leave it at minimum you will get the newer, less experienced players and it will be a much bigger pool of people to test and potentially replace. I wish that people were honest, and that as a recruiter we could say experienced only and get that, but too many people want to get carried. Which I don't get, I would never want to go into a fight and hold people back. Thats why whenever theres a new fight I go into duty finder and practice first, then maybe do a PF for "learning groups". But I usually learn with my static so I don't often do it that way, but if I didnt have one, I most definitely would.
Exactly, these pro snobs who think theyre better than others are constantly afraid of facing anything that might be an actual challenge. The irony is these fools are usually the ones whining about how other players want to be carried, lol.
SE designed and balanced the game, SE made the restrictions according to their design. They know more about what gear requirement should be necessary to pass content than some angry man-child with an virtual god complex.
I agree with the fact that gear doesn't equal skill but let's look at it in a realistic way... Let's say of 100 players half know how to play their class ok and of that half about half know how to play it well that means 25 of 100 or 1 in 4 party members is going to perform ACCEPTABLY (not well) at minimum level. Now if you have spent to learn the class inside and out to the point minimum iLv. Would be enough chances are you have spent the time to gear it as well so of those 1/4 players the player who is less likely to be the one at minimum iLv. Is the one who would perform on it well enough to get a pass. The one who is on the class at minimum iLv is probably either new to the class and just trying to get used to it or new to the game and trying to get by at which point no the set MINIMUM iLv is not going to be enough.
Hasn't there been more then a few threads lately outlining undergeared people queueing for instances they have no business to queue for? This is really disappointing square. Its simple to have ilvl 70. With the myth cap going, ilvl 80 will be simple! ilvl 90 just a bit of farming! Don't you know ilvl 55s are gonna queue for this and mess it up for appropriate geared people? The white knights on the forum will defend these people ofc...
