Why SE should hire me

Hey OP, was your post a joke because I am cracking up over here. All jokes aside, you need to establish yourself before claiming a company "should hire you." Unless you just chose to leave out your IMPORTANT accomplishments in your pseudo-resume here, you do not have a snowballs chance in hell of working for SE. Typically, major software companies want accomplished people, and they want accomplished people with experience in the gaming/art design/software developing industry, unless you wanna go PR, HR, or CSR..you don't do you? If so, why even work for a company like SE when you won't be in the spotlight. I say grow yourself a bit more in life, accomplish things, then beg for a job from SE, and maybe, just maybe they will take a gander at your forum based pseudo-resume.

First I thought you were being serious. Fortunately you werent. It was a fun read.

I used to dream of being that rogue community manager that talks to the community instead of just say that they can't say anything because of their silence policy.

It is ironic though that if you were the best community manager ever and talked to people on the forums, you'd probably be the fastest fired community manager as well because it is not appreciated if you communicate as a community manager.

Thanks! The only part of this post that is serious is the part where you can't win the lottery if you don't buy the ticket. Other than that, I kinda hoped that the hyperbolic voice in the background would demonstrate how not serious this post was. I clearly undersold the heck out of myself if I were really trying to do this. I did enjoy some of the trolls. Sometimes they add to the spice of life. Sometimes... they just give you heartburn.

I don't get it. The fun and random threads in WoW's general forums are along the lines of "rate the above person's transmog", genuinely funny declarations of whatever, the ocassional mentions of something relevant to the real world, and waffles.

What we get is attention-seeking trolls like the OP and people claiming the game is dying. What gives?

I get what you are trying to say here, and I appreciate your thoughts on validating one's value, but if you were in anyone's HR department, no one would get hired. I am a published author, but not anything it sounds like you'd value. Copy editing. . . mumble mumble. . . researched history of (probably can't use real terms here for interest of ESRB/censorship) intimate affiliations of the non-mainstream variety as pertains to British invasion and Europeanization of Hindus; researched the marketing ponzi scheme of the tobacco industry from its roots in 15th century on; researched religious identity between Hindu/Jain/Buddhist cultures via food polemics which incidentally discredited the notion that Hindus don't eat beef (as a case study demographically and as a part of Hindu identity); researched AIDS and society and history of aforementioned intimate couplings throughout history (ancient and modern, with focus on ancient traditions as pertains to Judaism/Christianity). . . I haven't edited and added to the works to submit to peer-reviewed journals, but my Rice Educated PhD of Religious Studies pedantic professor gave me a 100 on my paper... so it's peer-reviewed in that regard I guess :)

If you really would like to read my stuff, I will be happy to include a shameless plug here and let you (and any members of the trolling population) enjoy. I can even make you some popcorn and waffles. I know how the Internet community loves its waffles!
