Every brain cell I have in my head is telling me "Don't go for it" after I just said earlier this conversation was genuinely baffling to me.
But fuck it...I'll bite and take the potential trashing from both sides.
What exactly are we complaining about? Is it the shirt itself? The tweet Sena made alongside the shirt? Both at the same time? Like what is our end-goal here? Is there actual big controversy with this entire thing, or is this "controversy" where the internet finds scraps to bitch and complain about and see how many jump in and go "TRUE" and "REAL" alongside them?
I myself have criticized Sena's voice acting of Wuk Lamat as well as her gaslighty tweets on a few things. While I personally agree she doesn't deserve to get death threats: I definitely don't think being trans and whatnot makes you immune to being labeled a bad person. Everyone, regardless of their race, gender, sexuality, and social class, has the potential to be a really shitty person....But really? A T-Shirt? 7.1 isn't even here yet and we've already reached this point? If we replaced "Sacrifice Transphobes to Satan" on the shirt with "Sacrifice Homophobes to Satan" would this level of back and forth still be going? Hell, if we theoretically changed it to something more extreme, like "Sacrifice Pedophiles to Satan", would this "conversation" everyone is having even exist, or would it still be the same levels of back and forth for both the "defense" and "offense"?
I ain't here to start any fights, you all certainly seem to got that covered with each other. But I'll be blunt: my personal initial feelings reading this all multiple times is that this entire conversation is fucking stupid and is just going in a giant circle going absolutely nowhere. But I would certainly love to understand both sides of this situation.
I am sure some of you engaging with this conversation can definitely explain to me and others who come across this, in a calm and unbiased manner hopefully, what exactly the "concern" is overall. So please help me, and possibly some others who potentially stumble upon this thread while scratching their heads at what is transpiring, understand the end-goal here with this specific conversation. Because some seeing almost 8 pages currently of people screaming at one another due to a T-shirt, with many of these replies some of you are throwing at one another boiling down to "No u" with only tiny bits of actual criticism here and there, might have a bit of a difficult time taking this conversation seriously and potentially giving their own opinions on the matter. -
