Should healers now be allowed to play how they choose to play?

I don't try to control them. It's why 8/10 times I'll bite the bullet and leave rather than cause drama. The other 2/10 will be when someone else starts a kick. They want to play like that? That's their choice and people shouldn't sit there and berate them. Just get it over with and either leave or kick. If the kick fails? That person who started it now has the choice to leave.

People need to accept that the meta won't change, and if they fight against it then at some point they may run into some groups who will not put up with it. Not everyone is as silent in game on these matters.

By being part of a group you are supposed to work together for a goal. Someone intentionally working against the group is harassment as far as I'm concerned. They are knowingly slowing the run down.

I really didnt think of that It was the last parse I saw, not having parse myself cos Im ps4 and rather a while ago. If you note on my posts Ive said I can do low levels, np. And I do what I can and try. If you notice as well though I dont play sch cos I want to heal so Im playing ast If you check all of my posts you will see that what I say is quite consistant. That it can be done in low levels but its being expected all of the time in every instance, which is not easy. I play sch low lvl cos Im allowed to heal. I defend thi postion beause, 1. Im a scholar, and scholars are better healers than dps, 2. Dps/healers isnt something everyone can do in high content but is being forced.3.Dps taking the p**s .Plus, theres something wrong with wanting to heal, but being excluded from groups cos you cant dps as healer, and not just me people saying stuff like Ill leave a group if they want a healer that can dps more. And for the sake of people being allowed to just enjoy the GAME. I would really like the choice to dps or not as I see fit,not pressured.

Except you haven't been in a group 10 times where this has happened have you? Be honest here. While things might get a bit hysterical in the forums, this stuff really doesn't happen that much in game. Probably because most people are too busy trying to perform their own role to pay attention to what everyone else is doing, and none dpsing healers isn't apparent unless you actually take the time to look for it.

Moral of that story is: spend more time concentrating on your own job and you might do it a bit better.

I could be wrong but It does seem to me that misutoraru is not english and therefore, her wording may not come across precisely. but from what Ive seen of her posts she has had one of the nicest attitudes here and has tried to see both sides. To add to this she originally posted that she thought the attitude here was toxic towards people, and that theres no need to be , and she isnt

I encourage healer to do dmg when they feel comfortable, I will fall asleep if I have too much free time in dung
but it is the mentality that force someone do it make me feel sick about it
may be it is cultural difference, but I m originate from JP data center, only move to EU data center when I relocate and live in EU
in JP server it is either you do it or not, no one will force you to do dmg if you dont feel comfortable about it
the issue is ya may be a healer not doing dmg is just a mediocre like ppl say, but it could be the healer not comfortable with dung mechanic or the party is completely strangers and the healer have no confidence on other players, e.g. the vault last boss, i usually would spend some time observing my party before i decide should i cleric stance dance or not, in some case when the tank is green and popping CD at wrong time, i would rather prefer conserve my MP for emergency
I am not against ppl encourage healer to do dmg whenever they feel they can do it, but I am not happy when ppl kicking a healer in DF for sole reason
same go for the MCH example, a MCH/BRD do not regen MP with bishop turret or MP song when it is needed, all could say he/she is mediocre, but it should not be the reason to be kick
just ask nicely, even DF give you 3 total strangers, it is an MMO, communication and ask
like I bump into some tanks they will ask if I mind they doing big pull when I join my AST, sometime it work sometime it doesnt
same go for asking Healer to do dmg, if anyone feel healer can do some extra dmg when he/she is free, simple ask nicely
but it should never be a reason to kick someone for that

btw I would rather prefer a dung with intense healing than pop some regen and do dmg

being useful and doing the job is two different thing
doing the job simply mean meeting what you duty require
being useful is more than that
like other ppl mention, a healer do not do dmg when he/she is free is not the most efficient healer, but he/she is doing the duty of a healer would
same go for MCH or BRD, doing dmg is their duty, giving utility while doing dmg is being useful

I encourage ppl to do dmg when he/she feel comfortable, but I do not force them to do, and it should never be a sole reason to kick someone in DF

what i meant, until dev clear say heal have to do dmg in dung, i wont vote kick and healer for that reason, and i will always press NO when someone start a vote kick in DF for such reason

Feyona, I have seen you post several times that you DPS in your downtime when it's safe. So, I am really confused as to why there is still a debate going on. That's all people are asking -- DPS in your downtime when your heals are not needed. You say you already do this.
