How does SE justify these ten min enrages, but doesnt let anyone know their dps

If it's limited to striking dummys, ex trials and savage raids where those numbers matter (personally I don't really think so though) fine so be it.
BUT please for love of god not in the "normal" duty finder content. Alot or people aren't even able to understand the tooltips of their skills so please let's not show them even more information which most people can't interpret properly.

Edit: Just to clarify my first statement. I know due to enrage a high Raid DPS matters. I was talking about having the option to see the numbers live during the battle.

Anyways, I've sene kicking happening and not only because the persons dps is low but also they tend to mess up mechanics a lot often, which is the main reasonw why I've seen people getting kicked. This has nothing to do with parsers at all.

The fact of the matter is , that Im sure most of the people whom, are complaining about parsers go no futher than a 24 man. I agree doesnt need to be in a dungeon or anything like this. But in ex primals and, raids we need something more than nothing most poeple who do this type content want something to show their damage.

Ive downed V1s , and Im tryin to do more of the new raids I jump into a practice party of V2s and got destroyed IM not ashamed to say it, it was my first time, but guess what I go do the dummy and finish with plenty of time left. Again proving that the dummy means nothing at all, This is such a played out excuse for not knowing damage. Either the enrages need to stop being so short are we need to know something, because alot of people pug this content regardless of what was intended. And there needs to be a means to measure ourselves and progress right now we have nothing

Okay. Now answer the rest of my questions. Did the Alliance want you, as a PLD, to main tank? Because there are a lot of people that are of the mindset that PLD = MT, since, before HW, their damage was less compared to a DRK or WAR, who would be better suited for OT (though DRKs benefited greatly from MT thanks to parry resets of Low Blow, and from the original Reprisal). In order for you to be dismissed, 4 out of 8 of the party members had to have agreed with the kick. So either you were being far more disruptive than you were letting on, or there is more to the story than you are sharing. But this discussion is neither here nor there.

Either way, "differences in playstyles" is still a valid reason for a vote dismiss. If 4 out of 8 of the party members agreed to kick you, and there was no chat log evidence of a conspiracy to kick you before the last boss to either bring in a friend or to just grief, then the GM was correct in that the kick was justified and cannot be considered abuse. This still has nothing to do with the discussion at hand, which is about parsers. it has already been proven by other posts that GMs do punish individuals who mention parsing (not sure if you've seen the most recent Reddit post about where a player was Gaoled for mentioning they "parsed purple" even though they did no sort of parser harassment at all) and do respond to complaints about parser harassment. They cannot and will not share the specific actions taken against individuals who are reported, but you cannot use that as a way to prove that no actions were taken at all.

And again. The forum is an extremely small percentage of the actual game's population. Especially if you're confining your analysis to just the English forums, and not taking into considering the others (Japanese, French, and German forums). How can you base accurate representations of this game's entire population on such a small subset? You're talking percentages; but do you have any quantifiable and non-anecdotal evidence to back up your claims? And another question of mine is still going unanswered as well: if you don't do Savage or Ex content, why do you care if people have access to parsers in there or not? And what gives you the right to automatically assume that the majority of people who do said content are just "jerks" or "elitists"? Isn't that a tad judgmental?

Oh, mechanics are definitely a factor in kicks, and there are a lot of people who don't watch videos (I ran a Mhach the other night, and I had to tell my entire PT what to do as they had no idea). But at the same time I also see a lot of slander due to parsing. I don't know, it's just sending me into despair. Everything was going swimmingly until SB arrived and parsing has suddenly accelerated. Now there's just a constant pressure to 'git gud'. Rather like a credit rating, FFLogs displays your 'rating' without any ability on your part to stop it, or stop people parsing you. You can hide your profile, but you can't stop people parsing you and naming you on that site. I had a Susano Ex farm once where the DPS parsed, then linked. One DPS was bottom of the list. They left a couple of minutes after the person had linked to the parse. I can't assume, but I think they were shamed.

In FF11 none of this mattered whatsoever and that's how I preferred it. The community was better. The people were friendlier. You didn't know what kind of damage other people were doing. I've been online gaming since I was pre-pubescent and I've never encountered such an angry bunch of people. Maybe I'm just getting old, but maybe I should stop online gaming if this is what it's turning into now. I don't agree with public parsing. I can understand some people wanting to do it, but not why the rest of us get dragged into it. I'm just losing my faith in people. I thought gamers were my kin, but I'm struggling.

I realise this is my problem but I love this game and I don't want to stop and it's conflicting me badly.

If someone dies a lot, then DPS is absolutely not the issue. On that situation, of course, training with the dummies is irrelevant...as well as parsing them if they don't even know the fight.

I feel that parsing, or rather lack thereof, is being used as a scapegoat by many people.

They can't progress past certain content because groups they're in don't meet the dps requirements, so they blame the lack of transparency with dps rankings.

Well newsflash; having a parser won't stop that from happening. Sure if a parser shows that someone has low dps you can replace them but there's no guarantee that the replacement will be better unless it's a player you personally know.

In-game parsing is not some magical tool that takes bad players out of the equation. I played WoW for a very long time and still constantly met bad players who even had parsers themselves. It really would not have the dramatically positive effect many posters here like to believe.

I played FFXI and also with blue gartr players and a very strong LS on my server I lastes on till I quit. You can't compare this game to 11. 11 was more strategy, even speedkills. This game demands you to tons of dmg with mechanic dancing. In 11 you had to adapt to said situation and then focus on damage. 14 is a whole different thing. This comes from a person who did server first AV and i believe top 3 pand warden.
