It's difficult to tell but it looks like there may be eye holes on there? So possibly a /visor.

This is taken from a translation of the LL:

Q - Will there be a release for Lyse's costume (from Stormblood), as well as additional Viera hairstyles?
A - As seen today, you saw additional hairstyles on Viera so yes there will be. In the future, in order to ensure we can easily add more hairstyles to both Viera and Hrothgars, we are actually changing the specification on them right now, so it's underway. It will take sometime for that to happen so please be patient.

So, it seems they are not just changing the items to adapt them, but also changing how Viera and Hroth structure will work. I'm curious!

I don't know if that's for hairstyles or headgear as well, but I'm already happy more hairstyles are on the way and that they're working on ways to make it easier to implement future hairstyles so we hopefully won't have to wait years between expansions to see more of them.

Looking forward to seeing if they're tackling Hrothgar's Fantasia issue as well.

I think it might be for both... Well, they are currently delivering new styles (as seen by the Viera in the ninja relic set)... so I suppose the hair comment is more geared towards Hroths? Since they are in a much more delicate situation than of Viera with the Fantasia issue.

I’m really excited that they are proving that they are doing something for the Hrothgar and Viera players. If they can get rid of the need to change practically everything for Hrothgar with Fantasia then I’ll be more than happy.

Nope. They probably won't have anything to show for female Hrothgar for a long, long time. I'd be surprised if they were made available before 7.0.

Disappointing as that may be, it sounds like they have their plate full with male Viera and trying to fix whatever issue is preventing hairstyles from being easily added to both Hrothgar and Viera, so maybe it's for the best they take their time before they push female Hrothgar out the door in a sorry state as well.

Seems like we will be able to soon. I hope they give all the mogstation ones as well, not just the ones you can earn ingame. Would love to use yshtolas or lightings hairs.

They've confirmed that Hrothgals are coming, but not when. So don't hold your breath.

Only thing we know is that they said that they wanted to put all the focus on making the Male Viera first and once they are done they could focus on Female Hrothgar instead of splitting the focus on two things at the same time, making the whole progress take longer to get anything into the game.
But even if Male Viera is more or less done and gonna release with Endwalker I doubt we'll see Female Hrothgar for quite some time.
As a lot of the focus will have to go to the core game and make sure that Endwalker gets enough content so it doesn't fall behind schedule.

well their other plan was to release both of them potentially 7.0. but they decided to add male viera first, as it makes it easier to implement them 1 by 1. so my guess is 7.0 as an expansion seller.

Didn't know M-Vieras were shorter, even shorter than a full height F-Highlander, which was not expected at all. Personally, I like being really tall because mounts and glams look better. I don't like farming some daggers or shield for a lala and then just catching a faint glint. That said, when I heard about Vieras, I was determined to create a male coming from my M-Highlander and I have to say I have fallen in love with the waymy F-Viera looks right now, however, I'll play a lot with the benchmark tomorrow (and some more days I think) to see if I can create one I like and believe has as much potential as my current character. It's something I have been wanting for a long time and 5cms are not going to change that. Sure, I wanted them to be burlier and taller, so if they end up being weird pseudo elezens I'll just have to pass on them, but they have my vote of confidence since I won't abandon the option for just a couple cms.

Wow... What is this "this race is not for you"? It sounds so wrong in a thread where
we have all been on the same boat for months. People are allowed to have expectations and they have probably had them for as long as you, so it's normal for them to feel disappointed when they're not met. Adding salt to injury doesn't feel right.

I truly hope that's the case but don't raise your expectations because we were promised exclusive hairstyles at launch and we've got none so far, so please, let it be true this time. If we can actually use older hairstyles and headgears during 6.0 I'll be really surprised and grateful for their effort.

And that would be wrong of those people to do. The design choice should be respected either way. No matter what, I am grateful to the graphics team for all their hard work.

Yeah I'm sure it wasn't really influenced much by the english speaking community, but it's still sad to see that these type of people got what they wanted and are still going to be stingy about it.

Nope- It would be at a much later time- which means they shouldn't get the short end of the stick like male hrothgar did. Hopefully female Hrothgar won't be rushed or reskinned from female roegadyns.
I want them to look how they did in FFX- a detail that was ignored was the really long tails. I love their long tails in FFX.

I'm not going to fantasia into one if they're just copied from female Roegadyn with short, stubby tails

7.0? They already showed an image of a female Viera wearing at least one unlockable Gold Saucer hairstyle, we don't know how many more and when exactly we're getting them (assuming Endwalker?) but it's happening.

Now if they were like 5' or shorter at max height sure that may add some flare but at it stands they are like what 5 cm?

In the end that is why I said I would not say it adds complexity because it is such a minuscule difference in my opinion. Now if they were krillins height that would add some interesting lore dynamic:p

Remembering back when I said they were going to be of similar height, and a few cm difference between that and the female height would be so negligible that it might as well be the same slider. Actually didn't anticipate them being smaller (though I did joke about them being lalafell size).

Validation feels good, but *ahem*, I'm more interested in that screenshot of the female viera with what looks like a modern aesthetics on.

Did they say if the new hairstyles were older unlocks or new-new styles? If this has been addressed before, I apologize, but I no longer wish to wade through height posting again.

They didnt say witch type of haircuts will be added or how many. So it can be both or just older unlocks.

It's not enough to sway me from Hyur and Hrothgar, but they certainly look pretty good. I can't deny that. I'd say the biggest letdown of this Benchmark CC is that they haven't shown any potentially new options for the other races. This was clearly aimed at those waiting for male Viera and very little else. That's okay though, hopefully we will get some news later on.

I've never been much interested in the Male Viera.
But I do have to admit that they do look nice.
And I am a sucker for goatees.
And seeing how they got one that makes it tempting to at least try one out at some point.

I think my biggest issue while creating one is finding a voice that appeals to me. They are all either too high pitched for my taste, or too low bordering on silly. But they look great. They are probably just not for me, and that's okay. I just wanted to see if I could make one matching my preferences as best as possible for the fun of it. My first one ended up looking kinda like V from DMC 5. lol

I can agree that the voices were somewhat difficult.
But with like most things one just gotta compromise and find the "lesser or two evils" and over time most can get used to things they might've not really fancied at start.

I'm not all to keen on the pointy chin on the face I picked. But it was the only one with that type of beard so, compromise. ^^

Hmmmm...The M. Viera are definitely interesting. I found a combination I like...may turn my alt into it. Didn't even wanna look at the hrothgar customization because I know nothing has changed yet, so whats the point :^)
