I mean only to change from hippo leather to coeurl leather (both are leather for lv 50 and both use only 1 black alumen, but hippo leahter is used in everything and i have a stack of coeurl skin rotting in my retainer)

I really, really want to be able to mail things to my alts.
* Instead of telling us that one player does not meet the requirements for a duty finder dungeon, can you tell us which player and maybe even why?
* Maybe it's in that unfathomable target "filter" section which I really haven't got my head round, but nevertheless could we please have a SIMPLE target of target option that we can tick in options, so that as a healer we can heal the tank and dps the mob he has as his target.
* A right click on a name in chat and "report and blacklist" option.
* Please let us talk to NPCs whilst mounted.
* I would REALLY like a 3rd retainer, (which could be only one per account) that is accessible by alts, so that the alts can take crafting items and store them. Failing that I would like to be able to send stuff to my alts.
* Can we have full item comparison, rather than having to open the character sheet and compare.
* Can we have ALL green and pink items able to be handed in for seals, I hate destroying stuff, it seems such a waste.
*For healers' sakes, can debuffs always be put at the front of a players line of buffs, and have a red border or some such to make them stand out. Some of the debuffs are so pale and insignificant, that searching through 7 peoples' bars, whilst trying to move out of stuff and heal at the same time, becomes a nightmare for us "not so nimble older players".
* Would like a command for my fairy to /follow a specific player, so that if I want her healing the tank she will go stand near him rather than having to place her each time. This is low on my priority of quality of life stuff, but it's just an idea.
* Can you make Stoneskin a group wide buff like Protect, rather than having impatient people standing around whilst the healer puts it on individually.
* When you join a party, could you make the default speech "party" rather than having to manually change it.
Different colored chocobos would be nice for more variations, with special quests from the Grand Companies to obtain them
Asked this before but got no reply.
For ease of sorting/organizing will an open ALL bags option ever happen?
Please create a new disciple of the hand and or have the relic quest blacksmith npc (forgot his name) upgrade all item levels of unique gear up to item lvl 80 or 90 with the same stat benefits that they come with but higher, because there are many unique gear pieces i would like to wear on my lvl 50 classes/jobs.
This is actually very confusing. In all other menus (character, crafting), triangle is used to apply changes and square for subcommand menus. Except for the market search. For me it would be more intuitive to see "start search" as "apply filter (triangle)" and not as a subcommand.
I am actually surprised they didn't think of that. I get the display limit, but buffs are less important than debuffs and the chance of having a debuff on a party member is lower than the buff.
Isn't this the case with a lot of things... Stress...Quote:
I believe that the vanity slots that we are planning for patch 2.2 will come close to addressing this request. We do not have any plans to make it so you can completely separate the setting of cosmetic gear and gear with stats.
*The difficulty is, as this would increase the amount of information transferred for each character, we'd see additional stress on the server.
Well, both of those chat notifications don't sound decent at all. By default, all 3 of the normal chat tabs are constantly getting messages sent to them. Maybe just have it look for you first/last name, role, or class/job and blink on those (in addition to when you receive a tell)
Following on from Minagawa's response:
1. Wouldn't it be a fair compromise to simply allow Player Speech bubbles either for a) party/alliance members only and b) within dungeons? If someone is not reading their chat log, they are probably watching the action in the centre of the screen.
2. Alternatively, allow for 100% transparency of chat window UI like in SWTOR so it is not so ugly to place the chat windows around the screen.
It sounds like they are going to go with Aion's vanity system - where you changed the look of your gear by reskinning them with the items you wanted them to look like.
That wouldn't be a bad system but I bet a lot of people are going to complain that they can't freely change their looks every time unless they kept buying or farming for the same vanity items.
Since this thread seems to have Camate's ear and he has the Dev's ears how about a way to block Free Company invites?
I have an FC picked out but I am waiting for them to start recruiting, two friends are actually in it already. I'm fine waiting patiently, the only issue with waiting is that I keep getting these blind FC invites when I'm just not interested and I have NO way to block them. At one point, I had a search comment up about not being interested in an FC and it was simply disregarded. Please give us an FC Invite block.
You bet I'd complain about that. Why go with a subpar system when perfection already exists?
Why? You mention Rift's system and then champion class/job restrictions in the same breath - that's silly! No restrictions are necessary.
Yeah... I'm going to be one of those people. I don't like transmutation. Particularly in this game where it's already difficult to keep track of all your equipment. Now I'd have to keep track of which equipment stats are on what piece of gear. And if I want stats from my AF armor on something else will I lose my AF armor? Or is that going to be un-transmutable because of that. And if all the unique high level gear is un-transmutable, that just defeats the purpose of vanity slots to begin with.
I was really hoping for just a simple wardrobe system, like RIFT or LotRO. I feel like that would take just as much processing as one extra gear set, but I don't really know anything about stuff like that.
I do hope the vanity system is simple also. A intro quest to it is fine, but something like this should be very simple like RIFT's wardrobe system. Of course make limitations like "Class/Job must be able to wear it" or "No seasonal gear". There is no reason to make it needlessly complex.
Dev team said themselves they don't want to see mages wearing plate armor. I believe vanity is a good thing, but to say it doesn't need set rules for it is even sillier.
I don't think it's silly. It works out just fine in Rift. We have so little variety in armor as it is that restricting what we can use as vanity is just absurd.
By perfection I mean Rift's wardrobe system. An excellent design is out there already. It makes no sense to go with something different just cause.
[QUOTE=Naunet;1552994]You bet I'd complain about that. Why go with a subpar system when perfection already exists?/QUOTE]
Perfection already exists. Unfortunataly you want a vanity system so you can't have perfection.
Have to at the very least try to remain sane at this point
2.2 for vanity slots is nowhere near soon enough, with the retarded amount of maintenence that is done per week, one would think they could fit vanity slots into 2.1 sheesh
Please do not make these restrictions similar to those found in the dye system. Restrictions like this would make the proposed vanity system completely useless, much like the dye system is now for DoW or DoM (you will never be in dye-able equipment when wearing best in slot for any DoW/M). Since we will be changing the look of a piece of equipment it would be nice to have the option to revert as well. But most importantly such a change should not consume items or equipment in a pay to play model. Vanity options in a Pay2Play environment are quality of life enhancements meant for player enjoyment, punishing the player with barriers of entry and inane restrictions/costs is not acceptable and should be relegated to free to play. Such restrictions are popular in F2P because they are monetized and you can "pay to win" by immediately bypassing said barriers or restrictions with a few dollars, or a hefty amount of in game currency from other players.
I hate transmutation too. A system that forces you to discard two items forever (one for the stats and the other one for the appearance) is bad. I hated it in Aion, I hated it in GW2, and I would hate it here too if that's what they have planned to implement. I don't care how they do it, but we should be able to keep both items as they were originally, or the vanity system will be simply worthless besides being a one use only thing. Some sets aren't easy to get, with the RNG and all, not to mention those uniques like AF or event gear (see Lightning's set, for instance, now that it's coming this week).
It better not be transmutation system... read about it today and don't like it at all... We should be able to keep the gear and just change the graphics only.
Just me writing stuff that's in my head... I'm just assuming so just ignore this part... yep just ignore it...
PS3... limitations.... can't... make... new... UI... for... vanity... slot... due... to... memory cap... so PC has to suffer... it's really not the transferred data being the issue...
PS3 won't pull PC's leg, sure, but if the PS3 hits the limit because new UI can't be added they can't surely just add that feature for the PC. Both PC and PS3 has to be able to do the same things, although the UI may be different it has to be perform the same on all consoles and PCs.
Am I the only one that likes Aion's Vanity system? Losing the original item is good for crafters, mogstation sales, and gives reason to rerun dungeons (if that's where the skin comes from)
Would be good for crafters sure, but dungeon drops... with the RNG system we got, some gear is going to take a looong time just to use for looks.
And if it's transmutation system how are they going to address gears with multiple slots, like the one lots hate, heavy armor gear for example. If it needs to be another 2 slot item we don't have anything really. Cowl's will always be cowls...
You can make chats appear in text bubbles like it does when any npc says any flavor text.Quote:
I was in a dungeon and I think I was matched with a beginner, but the member was only on his battle log and couldn’t see what we were saying in chat. I wanted to get his attention but it was kind of tough with only emotes and such.
If it was just crafters it would be acceptable, however we have the RNG for some gear (to give you an example, I had never seen the DL heavy shield drop in WP until yesterday... and I had done like a lot of runs, as I skipped completely the CM/Prae spamfest back in the day) and we even have some items that are obtainable just once and that would be either not in the vanity system or would be lost forever if transmuted.
No. Just no, please. One of the reasons I play here is because it's a P2P game that doesn't has that kind of cheap stuff. If I support the game with my sub, I expect that the whole game is there for me to play and enjoy without having to resort to buy "extras" (*ahem*) in the Mogstation. Server transfers, name changes and, at most, Phials of Fantasia are all ok to be sold there, but nothing else.
I don't know that much about Vanity systems, but I loved the way DC Universe Online handled it.
Edit >
The thing I'd probably like the most would be if you could turn Spiritbound gear into a special kind of key item (which would consume the item just like you do when you turn it into materia) that you could then add and select to a drop down menu on the side of the visible types of armor in the character menu.
Weapons, headgear, body, hands, legs and feet.
If the item is non-convertible you could just get a "token" without actually using up your item.
Vanity items in a cash shop? That's F2P realm, and if SE ever decided to implement that I'd be out of here before you could say Archeage&BlackDesert.
I do hope it's not transmutation, that would be silly. I want separate slots I can change on demand, not transmutation. Imagine having to farm turn5 in case you want to get an item back for transmutation down the line. Good luck with the lockouts.
Could you make retainers available between characters on the same account? If I am to play multiple characters, I want to send items/gil to them. And this sounds like a suitable solution to keeping RMT accounts restricted while catering to player needs.
I have a retainer that says I'm her favorite customer, which I assume she has other clients. For story sake, a retainer services all my characters, and we sign a waiver to share our spoils under the same retainer.
