Is what was said (very vague, though I think he might be saying no?). Also, it's a Miqo'te child (there's two in the game. One that appears sometime's in Idylshire and another you can talk to in Mor Dhona).

That child with the fem-roe hair was just an Elezan girl. She appeared at the beginning of HW in a cutscene, too.

On the subject in question, I really think it is a case of "please look forward to it." There is enough interest in these two Miqo'te children as well as the confirmed never to be playable Padjal that a race fitting this chibi-fied, hyper cute anime look is likely going to come along down the line in some form or another.

And you can bet that the team will come up with a way to design them that both fills a niche of childlike cuteness while keeping in line with decent human morals. They pulled it off with Lalafells by taking them dead seriously in the context of the story.

Yes let's not also forget that this is an online game that you play with other people so social interaction is a thing. You take that and let people be able to play as a child that's going to cause problems. You never know who's on the other end of the screen plus we do have a marriage option in the game so how'd that even work.

I don't get the opposition of this thread. Child characters were playable in plenty of other games. I guess everyone hopped on the opposition train for some reasons.

In my opinion though, this character looks too young to be doing anything especially since, unlike lalafells, children are not strong or capable for combat. I wouldn't mind though a new childlike race since this game is lacking in this category. The choices you currently have are normal humanoids, very large humanoids and deformed babies. We don't have a smaller humanoid options such as Alphinaud and the Padjals. It could also have animal traits to please the people who are tired of humanoids such as the Tactic A2 moogles and since people are very fond of bunnies, make them bunnies.

Voila, problem solved.
