soo far the only reason people say this is because she is a martial artist, however, they refuse to admit that she use a different weapon, have a different fighting style, have even different capacity. everytime they ignore this...
every single argument of the monk side is empty and need to be reevaluate, since most of them are not valid. the fact it's a cgi is not good since the WoL use the game animation for him skill. and he is clearly a monk.
even the simple fact that ala miggho only have 1 fighting style school for monk is ignored. she is clearly not a monk, not a monk as we are in the game. nor in the FF14 universe. that the whole point. what she are are left to speculation. but i can recognize a monk when i see one and that is not a monk. the flow, style and way to fight is too different for be one. like i have said a lot, the male (who is confirmed to be a monk) is more like earth and fire, while the red lady is more like water and wind.
SE will not add another type of weapon to a jobs existing, they will not create a whole new set of animation because of a fist/stance, because it will recquire to do it for every jobs that have a stance and will be a work more well invested into a new jobs. but this is ignored over and over and over....why? because she is a martial artist. *sighs*
ps: i love my monk, i did start as pugilist until they did added monk in the V1 and mostly did play this... and honestly say that an animation of a skill is the same when is different is tiring... it's tiring to see people coming here say stuff without even verify stuff. i want the monk to get new cool stuff and new skill/capacity. but, what she are are going against everything the monk is. the monk was called destroyer, not without reason, what she is not destruction... -

Obviously the weapon you primarily use doesnt define your job or class in the ff 14 universe, and clearly any rational points to say that shes not a paladin are false. See that weapon in the stormblood image? clearly its a sharp short sword, therefore paladin

Based on the rest of your post, I am not sure if you're saying the first half in sarcasm as well, in defense of it being a monk? The main reason I think it is not a monk is that I've never seen a weapon quite like that on a Monk AND it's a central focus in the expansion artwork. It's either hinting at a new job, or there is some other significance of the unusual weapon.Quote:

If you want to prove that we're having a Dancer, and that the lady in red is a Dancer, you have to bring actual proofs of that. Proofs that could only be applied to Dancer. Kick and punch attacks are hardly dancer exclusive, the outfit is hardly dancer exclusive (In fact, one MNK set has almost the same design)...Quote:
