I chose BRD for swift gameplay, if I wanted to cast I would have chosen a Mage.

I really like this type of idea. They could also add another good support song or two making bards mp management a huge part of the class.

I don't mind being support and I don't mind doing less damage than other classes. The damage can't be so low that we are almost useless (no WM right now) and I don't want cast times. That's all I ask for. Respectable damage while leaving the class to play like it always has.

You can't have absolute mobility and good damage. That's way too overpowered and difficult to balance around. You also have to balance around group content. If their damage isn't good enough, they may get excluded in favour if Machinist.

I dislike every thing about Wanderer's Minuet. The yellow particle effect. The sound of some one drinking a slupree every time I shoot. Most of all the cast times that makes the game play feel like garbage.

I play with 200ms and it never was an issue before WM. Now? I have to deal with cast interrupts when a mob gets out of my narrow cone. I got frustrated and stopped using WM. I got called out for not using it and kicked from a party. Rightfully so, I wasn't playing to my fullest potential. I stopped playing after that.

I tried the other range classes. Which again due to the narrow casting cone and extreme sensitivity to having a good ping I also suffered "cast interrupted". MCH is in the same place as BRD. Melee classes have never jived with me.

I love the final fantasy IP. I loved every thing about the 2.0 bard.

I was extremely saddened after todays live letter. Now I am unsubscribed from the game and sitting here reading this thread instead of enjoying the expansion.

All the changes to Bard have really done for me is make me quit my main job which I loved, and put a small fear in me that any other class I play in the future, may be wrecked at a moments notice.
Now I dont want to get attached to another class because Im afraid they'll damage its fun factor or nerf it in a way that will kill it for me....

I feel the same. Ever since I first started playing MMOs five years ago I've played classes that focus on damage over time. In WoW I loved playing druid, dk, hunter and warlock. Here I have very limited choices for my preferred playstyle: bard and summoner. I never signed up for awkward stance dancing when I leveled bard, and now I have only summoner left in order to enjoy the dps role. Every other dps class has combos (or repeat casting in the case of blm) instead of a priority system with dots. It worries me that they will someday break another class I like beyond repair... When that day comes I don't know if anything will keep me playing.

The reason they fixed it... Also I don't know what you were smoking but bard last out of 6 dps by a large margin is not good DPS.

Focus on dots? WTF? Out of dps, bard has the fewest DoT even available to use... Now you're just making stuff up.

What? So other mmos who have the same concept and a better combat system is op because of freedom of movement?


People need to get over it. Classes should be about play style, Harder Easier none of that matters, what matters is fun, and what they bring to a group.
