in most cases it meant that they beat the content with the low level crap gear and then higher level content to get the better gear. While this is becoming a strange concept, it means the difference of earning it versus having it given to them.Quote:

I did a run of Pharos Sirius finally last night with a group from the free company who answer my forum post about wanting to explore / learn the dungeons and not just clear them in a confused frenzy, or getting carried/dragged. But I totally feel your pain regarding duty finder. It's a shame and unfair that so many players are impatient on the duty finder, excluding new players who aren't willing / able to learn faster. They should be finding their own groups and I can't help but be angry at that. Sometimes it makes me want to join in spite even if I hold up the group, but then I think why bother / as if it will make a diff.Quote:

03-26-2014, 01:33 AMDooThe terrible mechanics is what makes the community worst imo. End game is like an assembly line where if a player fails, the line is broken and you have to start over. You have to know each and every step to succeed. In other games it's more forgiving so if you have someone that's not as good they can still get through and the party doesn't mind as much.Quote:

The OP and the comments in this thread shows clearly the "elitists" in the game, ruining the game for the majority (casual) players. Things such as "know the fight" or "fail = kick" are definitely hurting the community.

Pharos Sirius is another I REALLY wanted to try because I heard it's really fun and challenging. But after reading horror stories of it in the forums I've...never even unlocked it to avoid duty rouletting it lol. So hard people just rage quit after a wipe or rage quit right at the beginning? Lol I can't say I fully agree with this but I do understand. It's one reason why I don't complain about people making parties with only experienced members. Well that and everyone has the right to play how they choose. It's just I'm afraid of being the one to make a mistake. For example I've done CT so much after feeling more confident thanks to friends that I, well, do it often. But at Thanatos where there's a million AoE indicators and AoE's without indicators (that big arc thing from the Nemesis that I get hit by randomly throughout the fight at times) it get's so hectic I always get hit at least a few times by Nemesis or AoE indicators covered by by a million animations. On unlucky nights sometime's it's often during that fight. Everytime I get hit I think to myself "I'm going to get kicked. Just another Dragoon that can't dodge..." x.x;;Quote:

Look guys it's not really difficult to see why they do it, it's a simple matter of population. There is less people doing that content. The playerbase is heavily skewed to the top end content already and is ready to move on. What happens when that new content hits, and people left behind are left on a whim of "People fancying to go back for the giggles" it kills any new blood as they will have a harder time intrinsically because they will have less people to do it with. Think queue times a long now? Think how long it takes to queue up for Cape westwind, that'll happen for every old content dungeon eventually.

No why? old contents is always gona be like this, They even make DL gear drop from dungeons again. Witch was main items at 1.19 or something and igot non dl gear back then cuz drop rate was terrible..
But new contents gona be great even for me who been waiting for this since 2.0 basic..
