you read these things and simply go "but thats not evidence, at best thats an opinion" and than follow up with "evidence" like "square designs fights with 2 melees in mind (which they do, totally with you there) , therefore they want you to take two melees, completly ignoring that in fact they would have to design it that way completly independent from their actual intent unless they actively tried punishing you for double melee, which obviously they wouldn't do.
I'm not saying i'm any better in that regard, most of us most likely aren't, but there is zero need for that high horse of yours.
anyways, where i will agree with you is that at the end its a guessing game at this point either way.
as far as new classes are concerned ? i'll take what i can get, be that melee,ranged or heal, i only hope that square can make up their mind and get something usefull out of it, cause this current 1,6 melee/1,6caster/0,8 phys ranged situation isn't working out, either it needs to be a clear cut with 2 melee, aside from flat out enforcing it this would need the casters brought down quite a bit, or the last slot needs to be truly flexible between all 3 dps roles.
