VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

Now you're just pulling numbers out of nowhere. If they were able to create an entire new race during ShB's patches without extending the dev time and while still giving 11 hairstyles options to everyone else, surely they can add the remaining 6 racial hairstyles to Hrothgar without delaying the next ultimate?
You're just not making any sense anymore at this point and it feels you're just shitting on Hrothgar's players for negativity's sake.

Compromises could be made too, and solutions found. Things like "either you get no hats or Hrothgar have to be deleted / your favorite content gets delayed" is just complete absurdity made in bad faith.

They were able to make mviera with new hair and new emotes and new voices midway thru shb but hrothgar getting anything not half-assed would require the 1 party per DC that does ultimate to go without please understand uguuuu
Like even at 2ish percent hrothgar is at least 500k players. As of January 2022 prior to 6.1 only 5000 players WORLDWIDE were triple legends so hrothgar getting hats and decent hair should take precedent.
If we REALLY wanna play the numbers/popularity game they should just stop bothering making new things work on felfs and roegadyn because hrothgar outnumber both of them but saying such a thing would be outlandishly stupid.
Imagine defending a billion dollar developer delivering players a crap product because "some hrothgar angry" like ok wow.
Also Viera-M only got in the game because players didnt like genderlocked races so that tells me hrothgar need to be even louder, if we wanna be real.

There was no stipulation for roe or elezen not to get headgear - there was for hrothgar. Not only that, they do not have custom head shapes, making the process harder. I think the mistake SE made was compromising on their original vision. They should have never even bothered with hairs for hrothgar. Each of the delays have been throughly explained. QA for the Yorha raids, story fixes and DSR QA which would have delayed Asphodelos. They did show how much more expansive in assets Endwalker was than any other expansion before, but you're mad if you're attributing the workload mainly on the new races when there's million of other factors they were very explicit about. (Like the fact there's twice the number of jobs they have to support compared to 2.0?).

Nobody is saying that it won't require them a colossal amount of work to fix the terrible decisions they made back in ShB. But your wild fanfiction that even the tiniest bit of effort towards us will break the game feels very dishonest to me.

I won't be looking back at this. Im just here because I'm sick of seeing you go into threads and bring the vibe down from Hope to Despair faster than Endsinger does to a party of all first timers.

Emphasis on the word LONE. This is all done by one person. And they did almost all headgear for hrothgar in a single night. And have been working on doing the same for other hairstyles.

If one lone developer is capable of doing this by modifying models from SE's own game with blender. Then why is it so hard for SE to assign the job to one of their capable members of staff to work on the models, and then leave it to the developer team on integrating those models into the game.

We ain't asking for an immediate change, we're asking for some bloody effort. I've said it many a time. Im happy to wait, as long as I know it's coming.

Did you see the context in regards to the last back and forth? It started with me attempting to suggest for players to be more respectful in how they go about giving their feedback to SE. Aside from that, I don't see how me reiterating statements made by Yoshida, in regards to their custom heads, and the limitations of their design, is a bad thing. I am trying to be realistic, and to clarify the situation. Prior to that even, I was suggesting people take their requests one step at a time; to be more realistic about how they go about it. I don't see why any CM would even want to bother reading some of the "feedback" that is given, in the way it is often made to them anymore.

That new outfit is in the mogstation and I wanted that hat.....$22 for something I've been wanting and I cant even wear it. Well I wanted more than the hat, but damn it, dev team, at least put more effort into the outfits you want people to actually pay for :/

I'd buy it anyway, even if I still played viera. I think that outfit looks so ridiculous. Like something out of the 90's. Then again, a lot of their demographic are like boomers. :p

Unfortunately, even miqo'te get the short end of the stick with their ears still being removed. It completely ruins this and that other hat.

The ears are tucked in which makes sense but like why can't Hrothgar have theirs tucked in as well?

Anyway, as a miqo'te main now, I need my ears to show. As an au ra, my horns could fit fairly snugly with hats such as this. I miss my ears. They should AT LEAST do ears on them, for premium outfits. For viera, I feel like this hat would be completely plausible to work, but unfortunately, it shows hair, and I don't think they have made any hat hair yet, or have any plans to do so in the first place. :(

I mean, hrothgar players didn't seem to take it well when Yoshida said their ears were 'tucked' under their hair or whatever. Can you imagine how my poor miqo'te would feel when her ears are tucked under a bandana AND a hat?! I doubt she'd even be able to hear much! Probably super uncomfortable too! :eek:

How exactly am I trolling? Are we not allowed to have some lighthearted banter? Alright, being serious. I already said why it doesn't work on viera, and most likely the reason hrothgar cannot use it, aside from custom heads, is also due to the lack of.. hat hair! There's the probable answer!

If they sold a variant on the store without the hat, then sure there's your discount. I'd suggest people start giving more of that feedback on separating the pieces. I don't know if they'd ever actually do it, but it's worth a shot (across platforms).

Oh, I'm sorry, but this is a public forum. I pay my subscription just like everyone else who posts here. For that matter, I have been posting in these threads since BEFORE either race made it's way into the game. If you don't like my posts, then blacklist me or whatever it is people say they do. No it doesn't make sense. Did you try keeping your own human ears tucked and squeezed in what is meant to be casual comfortable accessories as you go about your day? That'd be even more uncomfortable for longer, perked up animal ears.

They do this out of laziness pure and simple. If they cared about lore and fantasy faction at all the hats would adapt to at least make the clipping look less jarring and they wouldn't keep adding stupid cloaks that make tails clip horrendously.

Because the Miqote player model was designed from the beginning with things like that in mind, and the Hrothgar/Viera ones werent, and now Squeenix is pulling the budget from this game and its too much of an effort for them to care about it.

It is a bit disappointing that the headgear can't be worn by Hrothgar or Viera... Hell... We've known it's been in the game for a few months now... And you know it's a problem when a mod maker made a mod for it to be wearable for hrothgar and Viera before it was released.

To be fair, they already communicated that this live letter would be about new upcoming features with the next patches. It would have been nice if they would have addressed this, even if it would've been just in the pre-show before the actual live letter, but it's not like they promised us a feedback stream and then didn't deliver.

That said, I can understand the disappointment. I really hoped they would have learned that they should not ignore this topic but apparently not. :(
