Hallo, not going to translate that YoshiP's post on the troll thread that was deleted.
The thread was about getting the game released and the OP stating he/she don't care if the game has bugs, just release the damn thing because we are the customer who paid blah blah.... and people kept on asking mods to close or delete the damn thread and YoshiP responded to those who think like the OP stating they will try to get it released in time unless a critical bug is found that causes server memory problems then it will be delayed and that he's looking at all the numbers/data to make sure everything is good, had most of the employees take day off since they been working their butts off without vacation/days off for this one and that he felt bad he gave a date and made the staff work hard...

Imo threads like that should get instant lock/deleted already... anyways I'll check on today's posts.

So is the patch delayed or was it just a "what if" scenario?

Yeah i'm all for getting things released in good time, but not at the expense of employees health, well being...or sanity in general.

I'm sure its a what if scenario. He isnt going to make any concrete promises just in case something happens and they have to delay.

I figured he already delayed the patch in that post of his. Guess not.

i just want to read the patch notes.

Things come when they're ready, and all short term sprints come at the cost of effecient production down the line. We will all forgive and forget delays, I want the team healthy and having fun while they develop, as it will reflect on their work.

Fear not, with a combined gigantoad file size and the built in torrent client, it will take at least that long before the download completes. in a way, better than starting to download on friday, only to have it finish right when you leave on monday.

If the patch wasn't delayed, what was the talk about revealing the patch day on Monday?

I'm still skeptical. My mind was already prepared for next week.

It's just as he said. There is a chance it'll be delayed til Monday, but since September 30th is FFXIV's anniversary, I think they will be trying harder than anything to get it released on that date.

For patch 1.19, I can confirm the release date tomorrow.

You're probably right to be skeptical. In the deleted message he didn't say that they were on target for a Friday release. He only said that he expected to be able to nail down the release date on Monday (today) assuming they didn't run into any critical bugs. It's currently about 3:30 AM Tuesday in Japan as I write this, which is about the time that Yoshida usually stops posting. The fact that we haven't heard anything yet isn't the best of signs, so I'm keeping my expectations low for a release this week in order to avoid disappointment.

September 30th is Friday, if it were delayed a couple of days it'll be released on the following Monday.. maybe Tuesday. Very simple, my friend.
