It makes complete sense for a low level dungeon to be surrounded by Rank 60 drakes and rank 85 ogres.

Sort of. It's essentially like the elemental fist skills. It's a buff to AA that adds an MP drain, but stays on indefinitely until MP runs out or it's manually toggled off.
Only thing that's unknown is how exactly the Kick buff will work. What I predict is it will simply add a 3rd hit to the regular AA, essentially making it a punch > punch > kick. One extra hit per AA, at least 1.5x the damage, and not elementally based so effective versus every mob, and hopefully (logically) it stacks with the elemental stances.
Looks like copy pasted copperbell mines to me. But the chimera is cool.
