Chocobo on a half shell ... I'm diggin it.
Is it just me, or is the Screen in the "First" Picture (with Yoshi-P and Morbol) kinda look like Ul'dah ?

I know the Image is kind of small, but I can't think of anything "looking" like that other than "Ul'dah", "Ishgard", "Some-Stone Buildings". The Construct, in my opinion, resembles the current Ul'dah of 1.0.
Although at least it looks like a "City" or someplace with a Trace of Civilization.
The last one is not right. To change the cross-bar (I call it that for now ^^), you press L2+R2 and 1 button from the d-pad or 1 button from the cross-triangle-circle-square buttons.
As example, you want cross-bar #5. You press L2+R2+triangle and the cross-bar switch to #5. Then you press L2+R2+d-pad up and cross-bar switch back to #1
There are 8 cross-bars and each cross-bar has 16 slots. That are 128 slots total ^^
I got two of them when they where 10$ but the rubber pad was so cheap. My gf craft and DOH a lot so the d-pad fail on her really quick. For me the X fail i had to open other broken controller i had laying around and change the rubber pad around to fix them.
Overall i did enjoy the controller still have one that working the other broke due to bad soldering. Also not sure about others but the drivers to make the rumble and the F-function work give BSOD i mean everything was done cheap lol.
That why i stay with XBOX controller if a PS3 controller work for PC without going crazy with drivers and shit i would have got that but i took the easy way and got a xbox and just learn how to use one. in FFXI i use a ps2 controller with a USB adapter which was great but now i just don't see the point wasting money on a ps2 controller a sub adapter when i can get a xbox wire controller for little less ;).

(long interview about the ps3 version)
After reading that section I think they should make control a bit different. There are 4 pallets (crosses), I'll number from 1 to 4 from left to right. I think crosses 2 and 3 should be controlled by the directional button and by the shape button respectfully without holding L2 or R2. We should press buttons in pallet 1 by holding L2 and using directional buttons. And should press buttons in pallet 4 by pressing holding R2 and pressing the shape buttons. To me that seems the more smooth, than holding R2 or L2 two switch from controlling 1 and 2 to 3 and 4...
They are cheap i had two both the rubber pads got mess up in 1-2months of use The X and the d-pad rubbers. Thank god i don't toss anything out and had broken 2year old PC controller that i just use there rubber pads and it worked. But my gf controller man that one was the worth where the cable go in it starting bending and broke and the soldering where all the cable go was falling apart. it's so cheap even the drivers to make the vibration and the F-function made your computer BSOD and i think the company never fix it. Even tho you get the drivers it work fine for a few hours but then you get a BSOD and even with the drivers the F-function on the controller did not even work -.-
So just be warn you may get lucky and have it working great for a while if you don't use it as much as i me and my gf we play 8+hours everyday. But i just end up getting a xbox wire controller new in amazon for 20$ and if the rubber pads every fail there shit load of company that sell them for 1-3$
I'm sure I won' be the first to point this out, but, could it be neither a PS3 controller nor a PC with the dev kit with a controller... but a PS4 version, and that's why they cannot disclose anything yet? If the PS4 will launch in 2013 and they announce it in the 20th, it's entirely possible that SE and Sony release the game on both PS3 and PS4 and well, on PC, but we knew that all along.
If it is the PS4 they won't be able to talk about it until Sony shows the PS4 which everyone thinks will happen on Feb 20. So let's say they had a PS4 version, they wouldn't be allowed to talk about it until after Feb 20.
Of course :) but the blog make it sound like they have a video that's going live pretty soon. Also like I said earlier in the thread, you can see the mouse cursor in the baby chocobo picture.
Now I'm not denying that there could be a PS4 version, in fact I really hope there is. I just don't think this blogpost is about it.
Everyone is assuming there's a video they'll show soon... but to me it looked more like a video for the "Making-off" extras that they'll include with the CD edition or something like that, because else they wouldn't be recording it from outside but capturing video directly from the PC/console.
Also it wouldn't make sense to post a blog post about a video they will release tomorrow, would it?
Its the PS3 controller, he's playing on PS3 proto type has to be hes to far away to be using a key bored unless hes playing with a game pad for \pc
PS3/PS4 all the way go legacy
Just reposted this up so anyone new to this topic are all on the same page. This isn't the ps3 ui, but the pc ui with game pad.
Also here is a quote explaining the uiQuote:
Could you please explain how to control the 16 pallets or switching between pallets?
M: We are calling the 8 slots of left/right side as “action set” when explaining in more details when you hold the L2 button the L2 side’s 8 slots will glow while it’s in that ste by pressing the direction key or circle, X, square, triangle button you can execute 8 actions. When you let go of the L2 button the glow will go away and now when you press the R2 the right side 8 slots will glow.
When you hold both L2 and R2 the center number mark will glow and you can switch action sets. By holding the L2 and R2 together by pressing the direction key or 4 buttons it will switch between 1 to 8 action sets. with 16 slots per action set you will also have 8 sets of these with total of 128 actions per class and this is per class
Another thought: I uses official Dual Shock 3 controller for PS3 with "motionjoy" driver on my Win7 x64 since day 1 of ver 1.0 without any problem. Since the last series of Playstation 2 was discontinued at Jan 2013, maybe its hard to find new DS2 for the USB adaptor. So go DS3 directory.
The official DS3 has Bluetooth / mini USB interface, but the driver works on USB much better.
From what they are describing about the gamepad UI, it sounds very similar to Tera's gamepad UI. I thought it was pretty innovative and convenient as a controller user. It eliminates having to scroll through a number of actions. No more fumbling through a bar :)
So my controller just came in and it's not bad... I found and installed the right drivers ahead of time and the only thing that is a little bad is the awkward feel when putting your middle places on the 7 and 8 buttons.
