Ha ha yeah, I don't think they'll copy it so closely either, just a fun imagination of mine. The more I think about it, the more I can't wait for ARR!

If they end up doing a shrine or whatever can we still get our primal battle repeat quests from it?
Who's to say for sure, that the white glow enveloping him at the end wasn't The Twelve rewarding his sacrifice with redemption and sending him with us? :D
You know how when someone says "hey listen to this record backwards you can hear blah blah blah", and when you do, you sort of hear (or think you heard) blah blah blah? Well I don't know if this is the case for that end scene with Megaflare>>Louisoix or not, but I THINK I HEARD A HORSE TOO lol. :D
I keep watching the video over and over and I'm still not sure he died. When they show the adventurers being ported out, they all faded into a white light too. What if Louisoix did the same thing and his smile was a way to tell Bahamut that while the lands may have been destroyed, he did not accomplish his goal of total annihilation of the people of Eorzea? Just my thoughts... :)
If we can't get our primal battle repeat quests from Louisoix can we get them from Gandalf?
I am pretty sure this is mentioned... at least I hope it has been... Louisoix is an Archon, from the lore we got, they are the bodily form of the gods something like that, interesting fact, That I don't know how many know about, Thats exactly what gandalf was, he was a higher being that can't die, if he does he just comes back in a different form, like he did in the Lord of the Rings books/movies.
But every end marks a new beginning...

I expect 2nd part of the trailer to start with the modified "answers" song (the one we heard on last week in game) and camera traveling a certain distance till ending up where Lou is about to take the megaflare after the adventurers are sent off and he turns into Odin and fights Bahamut! XD! (incase you don't know the reference is from LOTR:2 towers beginning escene)
the only way he should be brought back is resurrected to be evil by the empire.
i hope he dosn't get brought back, i'd rather see him in echos and learn more about his people. i will lose respect for him if he returns.
No i mean imagine, If the guy that EVERYONE thinks a hero is resurrected by the Empire evil magic and we have to kill him.The empire could use this as an advantage, much like how skynet use the trauma oh John Connors childhood as an advantage to actually kill John in terminator 3.
I can imagine what he would say to lol "If only you had be stronger none of this would have happened!" you know stuff to demoralize you.
Recent post by yoshi isn't confirming that he died, rather hinting to what happened to them showing up in ARR. Who knows!
Let me get this straight: The guy stood up to Bahamut, the most powerful primal in existence, erecting a shield that almost stood up to his earth destroying beams of fire, called on the power of the gods to try to seal the beast (which almost worked), and then used his power to teleport you into the future to save your butt, and knowing all this, you would lose respect for him if he is actually alive in ARR?
You, my good sir, have just lost my respect.

Those are some yummy looking apples..
I think I understand what he's saying, though. It's sort of like how Aerith dies in FFVII. If she could have been saved, then the emotional impact that her death had would not have been there.
- Highlight for spoilers. If you haven't played FFVII, I don't recommend reading the spoilers.
If he returns, I'm okay with it, but I think I'd ultimately prefer if he actually died.
Yoshi-P already stated that we will find out what happened to Louisoix which implies he still exists in some form. Also there is no evidence that he died at all that is just presumption. I find some peoples insistance on painting him as some kind of Jesus like saviour who gave his life to "save" us rather nauseating.
You go to the church, you kiss the cross
You will be saved at any cost
You have your own reality
Final Fantasy
You spend your life just kissing ass
A trait that's grown as time has passed
You think the world will end today
You praise the lord, it's all you say
Louisoix saves, listen to you pray
You think you'll see the pearly gates
When death takes you away
For all respect you cannot lust
In an invisible man you place your trust
Indirect dependency
Eternal attempt at amnesty
He will decide who lives and dies
Depopulate Bahamuts rise
You will be an accessory
Irreverence and blasphemy
Louisoix saves, no need to pray
The gates of pearl have turned to gold
It seems you've lost your way
Louisoix saves, no words of praise
No promised land to take you to
There is no other way
(Appologies to Jeff and Kerry)
Btw just wanted to point out we aren't teleported to the future, we are floating in the aether for 5 years. And then we'll be in ARR.
Also I'm not sure if it's just what Louisoix did that saved everyone, cause I remember reading Yoshi saying something along the lines of, He knows it looks like the Twelve didnt "answer our prayers" but wait and see what happens in ARR!! lol
Also he said the whole fading to white does signify something happens that we wont know of till it launches
<--- Super excited to see ^_^b
While I appreciate the emotional impact of his death, How am I going to accept a quest to fight the primals without him?! D=
If you watch the trailer again carefully you will see the sign of Athylk when we get sent to float in the aether with nothing to do for 5 years (Thanks loads Louisioix... I'm bored here) which means he called upon Athylk to send us to the aether, not directly Louisoix's spell.
I say they fading to white was a giant Megaflare is what happened and he's fried to a crisp, we find out what happened, when we go to the Carteneu Flats and see his charred corpse. (But my speculation tends to be completely wrong.)
Dead or not, give him a statue all the same.
If you have a Crowning Moment of Badass like Louie, you should get a bleeding statue.
At most, maybe he can appear as a essence spirit of himself, or something of a different form, but not back in a physical form. He basially sent us forth to continue to battle for Erozea, sacrificing himself.
I have a feeling that our first encounter with bahamut will lead to an echo showing us what happened
I wish I could use the power of the Echo to fight Nael again someday, it's a shame that such a beautifully made battle event is just gone forever.
Funny you should mention statue in his honor:)
I am having a tribute picture for Louisoix made. Statue is positioned in his old place in Gridania. Along with my Altera praying to him and thanking him she's still alive thanks to him. A fully detailed and colored picture will be posted later when it is finished.
Hope you guys like it :)
