Looks very slick, I love it. Sadly, no matter what kind of ingenious interface they will come up with, gamepad will always be inferior to keyboard/mouse, simply because the latter got so much more buttons.

Since you shared your opinion I'll share mine. Aions graphics are low res garbage, I happen to like FFXIV's art direction and will take it over Aions any day. -

Hell I <3 how you can change job on the move tho, nothing at ALL wrong with that, I hate MMOs that you need to create multiple characters just to level another job(Thats why i played FFXI for 6yrs). People are expecting too much from a game that still uses DX9 in 2013 :P
Imho Aion looks a bit worse than ARR but far worse than the current FFXIV. Aion is just more colorful (lots of purple lol).
If you want a game with really nice surroundings you should look at The Secret World. But it lacks character details.
The massive detail is what's making the current FFXIV sluggish for some people... well and the huge lag. The game doesn't scale down detail over distance, instead the stuff just disapears. If the game showed all players in range in Uldah you wouldn't even be able to move. SE needs to create an engine that can scale details depending on the situation. A scene with 10 characters can't be rendered the same way as a scene with 1000 characters, unless everyone looks derp

I'm not hating, you're just misinformed, unknowledgeable, and uneducated when it comes to extrapolating the difference between style vs detail (aesthetics vs graphics).
Aion may have reviewed with high scores but it doesn't make it a better game. You know what other game got high scores? SWToR. What a crap game.
I speak from experience as I've played both and found both games miserable. -

The ps3 control scheme reminds me of Tera, I think it was a good idea.
Comparing ARR's ps3 graphics to ps2 is BS though, when was the last time you played a ps2 game? Only one out of five screenshots looks weird (the one with the terrible graphics), rest of them seem fine for a ps3 game. At the current stage, this might as well have been a screenshot from an earlier build.
Do I have to remind you which gpu the ps3 uses? I dare you to make the current game look better with smooth framerates with the current version running on a 7800GT

When I was interested in playing Lineage II all my boyfriend had to do was link me to their website and all the info I could have ever wanted was on there. I know they will update the site eventually, so I really don't care all that much. Like I keep saying, its not my game, not really my problem. I gave up trying to convince my friends to come play it. Maybe if SE advertises it well enough one day they will /shrugs. -
