The problem is Wilds is like their best selling game of all time. So they dont care about negative reviews. They know people will 'always' buy the new one.

Bro I'ma be real I stopped reading most of this real quick. I don't care at all lol
Game is crap. Steam version is the worst. Console versions STILL have optimization issues. It's just a simple fact. I'm not obligated to prove it because "YOU BETTER DO IT!!!! I SAID SO!!1!"
They cared. Check Capcoms twitter feed sometimes. They were saying the consumers are being problematic nonsense a week after launch when they were planning on having a public seminar about the games optimizations only to, summarized, basically go "Nah never mind. Players are stupid. And toxic. Lol."
Everything prior to Worlds release was pretty good. But then Capcom fell into the trap of trying to cater to everybody only to please absolutely nobody. Rise was a good title. But if you're every looking to try MH from when it was good, look at Generations, or older titles. World was O.K. but it missed the mark for a lot of older players. Then wilds..... fastest game I ever personally refunded. Won't speak about others who live with us in reality though. Just not good at all.
Older MonHun were very good and I have fond memories of them, but let's be honest, HR was never difficult. I can boot up 3U right now and be able to drink 2 potions in front of a Brachy before it can actually try to attack me.
Hitboxes the size of a building is not difficulty, monster had very few moves and were even slower than your own hunter (not all of them, most were). You could just go to another zone to be safe and the A.I of the monster was so dumb it could not even follow you there.
Anyway, 9-5* difficulty quests from Wilds with very short time limit is a blast in solo, it actually test your skill. We'll be able to compare with older MH when G-rank release
To be on topic, I'm intrigued about what they're going to do in FF14. Hopefully something more elaborated than the Rathalos
Yeah I very recently replayed 4U and HR is a cakewalk in that game. The only difference is in Wilds the easy hunt is over in 5 minutes compared to the easy hunt that took 10 minutes in 4U. 3U is similarly pretty chill in HR, I played it for the first time a few months ago and didn't have any issues stomping monsters with GS. The only difficulty in old HR in Monster Hunter is maybe what, back in the 2nd gen? That was the last time I remember having any trouble before G rank, and that had more to do with resources being rare and jank hitboxes than anything. I also regularly replay GU and never have any trouble until G rank. Valor GS and Valor LS just melts everything in the earlier game.
Excited for the Wilds collab though! I hope we get an Arkveld mount, but if it's just the Seikret that's alright too.
I'm hoping they remember content beyond lv 50 can be collab'd and permanent, like the old MH collab with Rathalos in Stormblood. At least I hope the collab isn't a limited time event if it's just a boss fight so we have more content in Dawntrail. Here's to hoping it's a good collab.
... But as a healer I wouldn't count my breath on it after Rathalos. I have a feeling it's more potions and entire swathes of a healer toolkit being useless.
People post about 500k sales of wilds in this quarter. Initial hype sales were in previous one.
They do kinda care about negative reviews, since motto is pretty much "do not buy game, avoid at all cost, if you unfortunately bought it - avoid dlc".
But moronic devs instead of fixing game's performance at least drip feed content that should have been at the game release just like square enix does right now in ff14.
Their "best selling game of previous quarter" will require something rushed to release (just like wilds) in this year just to appease shareholders.
Whoever came up with collab deserves a raise. Both games share same thing - greedy unimaginative developers.
Reading this thread, I feel like Wilds is the new Seventh Umbral Calamity when it's just a good game with atrocious optimization
All my friends who were able to get it to run had fun with it. The collab looks fun, always nice to get another Trial and hopefully some glams out of it. I look forward to seeing MH players figure out starboard and larboard.
Every collab thread plays out the same: half the room acting like SE just set the game on fire, the other half just excited to hunt some monsters and grab shiny new rewards. I’ll side with the fun crowd every time — better to be farming mounts than farming salt. Funny thing is, when the collab actually drops, the ones calling it “trash” will still be sulking in the corner while the rest of us are out pulling loot and laughing.
Dawntrail really is Stromblood 2.
We shall see how the fight itself is, I think. If it is more reminiscent of the way the Rathalos fight works I'll be interested. If the encounter however does the strict timeline approach instead its gonna be much less enjoyable for me.
Can someone explain what's going around MH Wilds? I thought it was a great game...?
I really like Wilds. My friends and I have a great time playing it!
Well... to be fair Monster Hunter Wilds is the Dawntrail of Monster Hunter
And Dawntrail is the Monster Hunter Wilds of FFXIV
They go together perfectly
We by a freak accident had to hunt down Valigarmanda.... aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand we didn't hunt anything else in the MSQ. We didn't even purposefully go after anything big, I would've LOVED if the whole expansion was about helping zones against big Vidral that culminated into hunting one ancient one like Valigarmanda that got freed in the end, or something even more massive in size.
Sure, we had Estininien hunt the giant lizard in the trailer, but did we even get to see that lizard? Might've been a fateboss or a hunt boss lol. Dawntrail is nothing like Monsterhunter
That's basically my one and only gripe. Though most of my FC and I have had barely any issues with the game and we've had nothing bad to otherwise say about the game itself. It was super fun. I enjoyed it as much as Worlds.
The story for Wilds was great! - that comparison is just weird. But it's your opinion.
console have no problem running the game so over all people just see the steam community and think everyone is there. when well it isn't true but we console we dumdum
I haven't seen one and the one I have seen have been fixed in less then a week and was really rare. I often see only the PC side of thing too like meh I used to play mh3u and 4u then sunbreak well rise on release. But again I do love the game and as a lance main I am happy I can hunt everything.
also a really insanely stable crossplay that was really good day one compared to many game.
I will now say this if you don't enjoy wilds go play world or sunbreak. it's simple I don't say don't be pissed but the number of time I have been attack for loving wilds is insane
Don't let it get to you. There will always be people out there who want to hate one someone enjoying something they themselves don't like or perceive as "objectively bad". I'm in the same boat as you. I really enjoy Wilds. Playing on PS5 Pro, runs incredibly smooth, no issues or bugs. That's not to dismiss that others have had problems (mostly on PC from what I can tell) but I can only judge a game on my own experience, and mine has been excellent.
To keep this on topic I'm excited for the crossover on both side. Rathalos was a fun fight in FFXIV and I'm very interested to see how they implement Arkveld. Adding Omega of all creature to Monster Hunter is a fun decision. I also liked the Behemoth fight from World so looking forward to Omega.
High-end consoles have to upscale Wilds from low resolutions, or else they run at 30 to 40 FPS. I honestly don't understand how so many people turn a blind eye to the issues with Wilds. It's fine if your standards are low for 2025, but claiming the game is running well is just living in a different universe.
It's not obliviousness. It's just not a deal-breaker for my enjoyment of the game. I'm not really sure what else to say here. I'm sorry your experience was bad and mine was not? I guess you just have different standards as to what affects your enjoyment of a game than I do. And that's great, honestly I love that for you.
Soo... how do yall think Omega will work in Wilds? Transformations? Turf Wars and encounters making it stronger?
