This. It takes ages for anything to happen with this game, so when it does, let it not be a waste of dev time and resources- especially given that YoshiP has recently confirmed that they are working with rations as it is.

Edit/reflection 13/5/26: To be fair, the Monster Hunter Wilds game that had come out some months prior to this announcement, was known to be poorly made and thus made this collab controversial (especially as the game was ailing badly in it's pre-NA-fanfest dispairic situation). The quest and trial as delivered in XIV however, was excellent, the rewards above par (including an ultra-rare chance of the extreme's mount dropping in normal, and supplied ilevel 745 weapons, which was extremely helpful for the playerbase at that time (a playerbase which had increasingly stepped away from the game in the year prior, and thus had fallen behind in ilevel. Getting 1 weapon coffer per completion was perfect placement for helping players catch up, without overdoing it).

Every collab FF14 has ever done has been hot garbage. I'd prefer if they just stuck to what they're good at - copying everything from old FF games poorly
