You can find pre-written macros for *everything* so you can 100% braindead it if you're that determined to make it all yourself.
I enjoy crafting, I've written all my own macros from my own testing because I enjoy the puzzle of it and mathing it out, and once it's perfected I just put on something I've been wanting to watch and craft and craft and craft. It's not hard, and it's a fantastic post-raid wind down when everyone else has signed off. I work full time and still have time to do the battle content I want to do/need those items for and craft them myself.
Could be worse, at least pots are made in stacks of 3... :)
Either get over your grievance and put in the hard yakka, or just buy them. You're circling a non-argument because you want the devs to cater just to your thought that crafting is boring; I'm sorry if the dev team can't even fix the GFX issues and current actual bugs causing issues they're not going to consider watering down crafters any further just for one person who is being lazy. -

It IS true that in many games raiding drops items worth a lot either as loot or rare craft materials..... then groups either sell those for raid funds (which can be used to purchase consumables for everyone)... or used to make other stuff for the guild.

Would have been more expensive a few days ago but if you have been selling this you might have been able to bank gil to buy consumables when they were cheaper. ie Moqueca was around 30kish a piece when savage dropped and now it hangs around 4-5k and potions are in a similar situation 30-40kish when savage dropped but now hovering between 9k-13k.
I know a few friends that play for a few hours at night and they aren't complaining about consumable being expensive rather they just shut up and do stuff to make gil. Hell one even saved up for 2 weeks to get the 7.5m for the drone/bike in S9 -

I ignored your suggestion about other "battle content" because yeah, other battle content in this game is boring as hell. The new DREX dungeons are a cut above the usual but that is to say I can still heal them one handed. There's still never really the threat of a wipe. There's 0 challenge in it or reason to not just have a video on the second monitor in the hopes of being moderately entertained. I don't see it being much better than crafting in terms of the "entertainment factor". Maybe if jobs hadn't been watered down to hell and the battle content hadn't been nerfed like crazy, but here we are.
And like, good for your friends for not bothering to complain with a clearly flawed system? What, they get a medal for not daring to critize our Square overlords or something? There isn't a sound logic behind "Well someone else endures it silently, so you should too."
You can have your grind and your economy but I don't see why it has to so drastically affect raid content. Keep your little sugar glider mount that needs 50k gemstones from FATES. Keep your furniture and housing items. Keep your orchestrions. Keep your minions. Keep all the stuff from treasure maps. Keep your glam trades. Why can't those who enjoy end-game content have a commodity of value to trade back just for consumables? Is that really so outlandish for you to comprehend?Quote:
