What an idiot. I'm sure everyone is sick of RNG the only content that has been done properly is Garuda. This game is more punishing than XI with its content tbh.

I promote many other ways to get the note! That way we don't have to repeat only the Hamlet Defense, but we can also do other less boring things too, so when you don't feel like Hamleting you can go doing something else
This is such a joke. Take primal weapons for example, how are they at all better than a tripple melded crafted weapon? You don't even know what the stats on these weapons are, you are just spewing speculative bull. I would like to believe that your effort will be rewarded with "the best gear in the game" but thus far, only RNG rewards you with the best gear in the game. Learn to read you freakin tool.
Where's that meme...
When you complete Hamlet there is one single chest for the entire PT. So it is only possible to get one seal at a time on any given run.
And raw damage does what for a white mage...?
What about that mage staff that gives you +MP when you physically hit the mob?
What freaking world do you live in? It's like you close your eyes and plug your ears screaming "LALALA" while aiming at a random post to type some completely irrelevant remark at.
A WHM don't need healing stats on their weapon.
Most WHM tend to over cure anyway.
True story.
It could very well still be hamlet just stop with the random drops, This should have been handle Via Assault style in XI. Do quest finish quest you get points. That's it they are not gonna be able to make quest hard enough to warrent them a challenge.
Also to the cat dude, not everyone ran in with 5 blm getting garuda weps retard.
There is a theory floating around that the seal drop rate % may increase with tiers. I've notice that it seems to drop a lot more with 60k+ than it does with 50k+ but we can't really say for sure. There have been times when we've gotten 4 seals back to back but another time we go hours without one.
One thing is for sure though. Militia Hats/Legs drop rate is ridiculously low.
Oh look! Once again, there's a quest that everyone is going try... and it involves Ul'dah and Gridania, but not Limsa.
Oh I dunno, they could make say a parts quests, each more difficult then AF body quest and harder as you go, say 5 quests in total each rewarding materials for the weapon or ending with a large beastman NPC that is difficult to kill, anything but a random number generator on a seal drop
also odd enough the cat dude part was cut out of your post somehow making it look like you where referring to me about garuda but it showed up in the quote
edit: nvm its showing correctly now
Yeah i had to edit it i didn't want to seem like i was attacking you sorry about that.
I played XI for Seven years the only content that made me angry was getting drops from HNM's that's it. All my hard work got rewarded in XI, Campaign, Assault, Relic weapons/Shield, Mythic weps, Everything was a sense of progression, the biggest offenders was that only content mnk was good in forgot the name, and HNM's.Quote:
nuff said, you have no likes, you poor poor soul.
yes well that would be logical, I mean, that the drop rate would increase in accordance to your points earned (ie skill) but that doesn't seem to be the case in regards other content.
My whole point on peoples disinterest in hamlet was and is still based on the low militia drop rates and you've only gone to prove that. Furthermore this reinforces my point that SE tied relic weapons to keep alive what was a failing interested in hamlet defense due to the incredibly low drop rate on this gear.
and amanda has brought what to this conversation? thanks for your contribution zezlar, at least you make an effort.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to make sure the boss doesn't get stuck on archers? My group has no problem with the strategy of getting +50k points but our plans all goes to hell when the NM gets stuck on the archers, come hell, high water, or enmity reset. If we can figure that part out, maybe it'd be a little less obnoxious to do this thing hundreds of times.
Very eager to see what the next step of progression is for these weapons. :)
I believe everyone would be content if they used a time based system over drop rate which was apparently in XI. Why choose not to use systems that work just because it was used in it's predecessor?
Hmmm heres to hoping that SE doesn't give us something that no one can enjoy.
Sorry to be off topic but, this is interesting..
"Curtana was also, according to legend, the sword of Ogier the Dane; it bore the inscription "My name is Cortana, of the same steel and temper as Joyeuse and Durendal." It is supposed to have originally been Tristan's sword, and gained the name "Cortana" when it was "cut down" to fit Ogier"Quote:
At the time of its making, three other swords were struck from the same ore and forged in the same fires. These brethren blades, Curtana among them, were then gifted to the three noble paladins by whose hand the brotherhood of the Sultansworn was founded.
Does this mean we will be able to upgrade to the other 2 sword and the 4th un-named one is legendary?
The fourth sword is more than like Excalibur.
Howevre, that would in fact make sense
This.
I wouldnt mind a challenge to get these weapons or anything else for that matter but when you make it a ridiculous grind it makes me more resistant to getting it. Which, as I have said before, is why I flat out refused to get an empy in xi and have actually since quit.
LMAO really some what hard to get??? No they are not hard to get. Getting the 9 seals is a boring grinding spam fest. It is no different than AV and CC. The content is easy it is that simple. There is nothing hard about it, it comes down to random luck as well as low drop rates. So far to date all content is random luck, low drop rates, spammable content, grind fest, and easy to do, if this is the kind of content that is planned for 2.0 it wont be worth it. There is no reason what so ever to have to do the same damn fight, raid or what no that never changes is so damn boreing it isnt even funny. Boreing isnt fun and most if not all the content to date needs a major over haul so that it isnt the same shit different day period!!
Ahh, Curtana. The only one of it's kind ever ma--hey! What are those other paladins wielding? Those look just like MY Curtana!!
Hooray for single-player storylines in an MMO... <_<
This makes me think you only need to collect the seals and the "Note" one time. Then you can start the AF weapon quest for any weapons. Cause why...after collecting 9 seals and 25k GC seals would you abandon the quest, gather your stuffs again, and start a new weapon AF quest.Quote:
“A Relic Reborn” is a repeatable quest. After completing it and obtaining a relic weapon, it may be begun again to obtain a different relic weapon. It is not possible, however, to progress towards two different relic weapons simultaneously. Should you wish to pursue a different relic weapon while “A Relic Reborn” is already underway, you must abandon the quest and begin anew. Epic challenges and hard work await those who undertake “A Relic Reborn,” so please choose the object of your desire carefully, lest you find yourself coveting your neighbor’s weapon!
Which if that is the case, Hamlet Defense is not too bad at all for a starting point. But I really hope there is a story behind it, as to how Hamlet Defense ties into getting these.
A lot of content is based on luck I'll agree with that. But there is always the skill aspect to consider.Quote:

Raids rely on time, skill and organization to get all chests and pre-requisites for those chests. It's not until that point where the RNG comes in to play to decide what drop you'll get. More chests ='s better %. Doing the pre-req's brings your % from 0 up to 1% ^^
Hamlet Defense is a bit better. More skill ='s better Score. Better Score ='s much higher %
Maybe they could add a point system to the Raids. So at least you could see how close you are to achieving your goal (% drop rate)
