No more fake out deaths from the Scions and actual consequences to their actions when heavily injured/on death's door.
People rip on Y'shtola back in ShB because of the Flow spell and her being immediately rescued by Emet-Selch. Though, I would say you should be mad at the writers of the psrt in the story for USING Y'shtola just so they could show Emet-Selch was telling the truth when he said he wanted to help the Scions and WoL.
Y'shtola back in SB when she was almost killed by Zenos and Thancred almost killing himself during his final confrontation with Ran'jit. Both of these moments should have had a lasting permanent effect on each character's well being. At the very least, I would have like to see a visible scar across Y'shtola's chest with the top half of the healed injury poking out from her current outfit and her every once in awhile pointing out how she still feels pain from it every once in awhile.
And with Thancred, my guy, I kind of feel, should have been on his last leg in Endwalker. Back in ShB, he pushed his already aetherically crippled self well beyond his limits during his fight with Ran'jit. I think he should have been shown both in ShB and in Endwalker to slowly become more and more unusually tired out as the story progressed and ending with hin retiring from adventuring with the Scions for good and instead living out the rest of his days in Mor Dhona, Sharlyan or Ul'dah.
In Endwalker, I think the way the writers handled the Scions at the end with that fake out death was better done because of the fact the Scions had explained they could be brought back with Azem's summoning magick. Though I think they also could have been brought back with dynamis, too, considering they were in Ultima Thule where dynamis' influence was at its strongest. So at the least, again, them not dying here makes sense.
I just want to see the Scions actually have risk to their lives again, like how they did up to SB. Its no fun knowing in the back of your mind they will most likely always be okay. Again, there needs to be actual consequences to their actions when making impulsive, life threatening decisions.
Also, the writers REALLY need to start explaining just exaclty how Y'shtola's eyes work already. We know she sees things in the form of aether, but I'd like a detailed explanation on how exaclty she percieves things and if using her own aether to see actually puts any risk to her life. Because as far as I can tell, she more than likely has mastered aether manipulation so much to the point where she uses very little aether in order to see. But also, for some reason, can't see the stars in the sky at night, despite them giving faint aetherical signatures; something Astrologians can pull from to use for their magicks.
Quite game changing but still affect the QoL. Scrapping Classes completely, and letting players start the game with any job
Someone mentioned here before that the only healer you can start as is CNJ/WHM, to unlock SCH you have to play up to lvl 30 with a DPS, and to unlock AST you have to beat ARR + its patches to unlock AST. Giving more options to starters, like a bigger variety on jobs, is a good way to attract new players
The only QoL thing that I really want, more than anything, is an unlimited glamour system. Moment you earn a piece of gear it should unlock the appearance. No more having to manage limited space, just pure ease of fashion. I know they'd have to redo code for this but honestly it'd make so many people happy that it'd be worth it.
Professionally written netcode. This game lags and drops casts harder than Western MMOs from ten years ago.
Being able to apply glam plates in PvP before it starts.
Individualistic creativity put into PvE jobs like the devs put in PvP recently. Every single job in PvP plays differently, are fun, and have a sense of identity in PvP, where as PvE is stsrting to look more and more cookie cutter and ridgeley role conforming every expansion.
Allow glamor to be used regardless of the level of the gear you wear: if you can equip both the glamor and your current gear, you should be able to glam without level restrictions. I want the ability to use my level 90 glamors in Eureka and Bozja.
Move the timed node required materials for MIN & BTN job quests to special nodes that respawn every RL 10 min. Having to sit around for 30 minutes to finish a quest just because you missed the window is not instructive, fun, or engaging. (At least you can buy pummelite from the MB)
Add an option to automatically skip every cutscene in the game. Not just previously viewed cutscenes, but ALL cutscenes.
UI and & subtitles localisation for additional languages. At least Spanish, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese. It doesn't need voice acting.
This is one of the biggest MMOs in the world but the lack of some languages is baffling.
Guild Wars 2 has Spanish, ESO added Russian last year, and is adding Chinese later this year.
BDO has Turkish servers. Even Swords of Legends by Gameforge got a Russian translation and that is DOA.
Can they just, redo the entire social menu?
the lag in loading a friendslist and the like is horrendous.
Oh, here's a newer one that's been bugging me. I want to be able to completely mute Crystalline Conflict quick-chats. It's not as if we can properly communicate in the first place, and all that does is make annoying sound effects keep pinging every time someone hits one of the buttons. Even if I were willing to put up with the annoyance of changing the log settings to remove party chat when I'm going to do CC and turn it back on after, I suspect the sounds will still happen anyway.
...and we will be back to the days of players kicking and abusing new players in Prae and Castrum, no thanks. Those cutscenes are unskippable for good reason.Quote:
Not just previously viewed cutscenes, but ALL cutscenes.
Add more FC rank rewards. We have perks/actions up to Rank 20 and then nothing else even though FC go up till Rank 30. So after 20 that's 10 levels (ranks) with no further rank reward. :'-/
Give us two stances per job.
And since we’re getting the Garlean gear, we should get the Garlean stance for GNB. If not, add another gunblade job with the stance.

I would like to be able the see the materials needed for recipes currently too high level for me to make. It's annoying if I ask a guildmate to make, say a beech rod, that I either have to (a. pull up a page online to check mats or (b. ask them to tell me what's needed.
Just let me see from the crafting menu please!
Make the UI, mount, minion, scroll, achievement, keybind account wide.
Don't kick players off their mounts when they talk to NPCs.
Have more storage tabs for professions cause Alchemy, culinarian and others require to have many ingredients at hand
Make cashshop items account wide think its normal for items paid in cash already
Treasure boxes at the end of the dungeons. As a new player i notice that running dungeons is like a speedy affair even skipping opening teasure boxes on the way. So if all the teasure boxes are at the end the high lvl players that don"t care much about it can leave the dungeon and the lvling players can still roll on the loot to get eventual upgrades
A more logical glamsystem a bit like the transmog system in wow. Once the item is in your dresser all cloth wearers can glam all cloth items, plate all plate, leather all leather and so on. I"m a Summoner/Scholar and some scholar items i cannot glam as a summoner. This doesn't make much logical sense to me
A way better marketboard system were you can check/compare the prices of the items you are selling from within retainer menu and not constantly have to walk back and forth from marketboard to retainers or having to write everything on a piece.
Stop hiding instance names in PF when you haven't unlocked the instance. I know, I know, not unlocking every blue quest is grand heresy here. But that's not the only reason. Often I'm on an alt and it would be useful to know if there's something I'd like to do on another character.
Or barring that, a linkable crafting "link". Other games have this.
Like if a level 50 wants to see what materials a lvl 80 needs to craft something (for a glamour), the level 80 can "link" the recipe that shows the mats.
Terrible idea. The reason FFXIV does this is they learned from WoW where it is allowed. You literally can't see NPCs because jerk players get the absolute biggest mount they can and stand on the NPC.
My QoL Request:
1) The ability of Alchemists to desynth POTIONS. It's a craftable item with components. There's zero reason it shouldn't be desynthable. ALC is one of the worst professions to level desynth because of the lack of options other than Grimoires.
2) The addition of a Ranged Tree for our Chocobo buddies. Flap wind gusts or kick up rocks. They haven't been touched (realistically) since ARR (They still have accuracy traits FFS and accuracy was removed in 4.0). A ranged addition with the option of a "Stay" or "Heel" command would also help healing birds stay out of aoe's. Barring that, if they're not going to improve the Chocobo AI, make them invulnerable to AoE's if they're not going to be smart enough to avoid them.
The obvious things like hair clipping with certain headwear, as someone who cares about glamour and character appearance than anyone should, I also think the older hairstyles need revamping they look flat and static compared to some newer ones. On the same discussion the Character creation could be updated, it’s better than most and I understand this subject has prolly been wrung dry by now, but I feel the addition of a second choice of Face Paint, more broader facial features selectable across all races.
The option to add fringes and other hair accessories to things that otherwise cannot ala Code Vein, for all its imperfections I loved it’s CaC, and with FFXIV despite maybe visiting the aesthetician 5/6 times an hour (I kid you not) I still probably look like 8/10 cat girls. The ‘light’ selection of lip colour largely looks the same across most colours + a little speck of gloss, so I propose removing it completely or actually adding a light palette swap. I’ve noticed this isn’t as much of an issue on my current Miqotes face because her lips are darker than the others so I’m assuming the colour shows more?
I think Duty Support/ Trust could function better in general, it feels so slow and I think you should be able to dictate partially where the party move like in Squadrons, unless that’s already a feature that I haven’t noticed.
The ability to PvP-ify certain PvE combos, I understand from an endgame content perspective maybe you might want to micro manage your combos? Honestly this one is very personal choice so I’m not sure on its longevity and plausibility, but compiling straight combos into one button would help my controller crossbar from being bloated.
Revision to skills and actions in general. Also as a crossbar user it’s difficult sometimes to rearrange and set up my skills across all jobs as some take up more space, whereas usually I depend on muscle memory to dictate placement of skills.
Give Miqote Males the option for normal hands similar to their female counter parts.
Allow more Height choices (especially for tall races, for example maybe a person who’s half elezen and half hyur would not be as tall I.e Hilda. Or someone likes the Elezen facial features and overall aesthetic but not the height)
Make older glamour items or armour dyeable. I.e Catoblepas Horns, Scion (not one-piece) mogstation gear.
Also all of this is subjective, some of what I mentioned would probably effect something someone likes which would be horrible, but just throwing this out into the aether. I know they’re a lot to ask and in some cases literally not possible. But just something I’d like to see after four years of playing :) <3
The option to hide items and gear pieces that cannot be posted to the market board when giving things to your retainer to sell.
-mog station high heel shoes (stiletto), dyeable
-vastly improve housing UI xyz + rotate and resize
-housing item limits quadrupled
-instanced housing
-premium dye with slider to achieve any color
-all dyes to ignore material and dye actual dye color!
-duty support/trusts for 8 man story level trials
-double available hairstyles and allow for ALL races, newer races have suffered long enough.
-adapt ALL in game head gear for viera
-removal of housing demolition
-log out back to character selection screen as an option
-option to turn off unnecessary chatter from retainers when opening and especially exiting retainer
-repair all button, or remove repairing all together
-enough flower /corsage options for hair ....3k is plenty o.o
-back worn accessories like wings to remain visible at all times, through ALL combat, mounting, crafting etc
-we have right click copy in some areas of menus....add right click PASTE when in chat or ah...any search window
-open up ability to move all menu items and every listed action, not the very limited design we have now.
-revamp hair + lip colors so red is actually red and not a muted brown. many colors are really dull and not even close to true colors
-auto dismount to engage enemies (far smoother game mechanic)
-cool new FC rewards!
♥
More vibrant hair and makeup colors.
Revert/Fix Samurai
Stop spawning fates on top of class quests.
Allow crafters access to items their retainers or Chocobo saddles are holding without having to manually move the stuff to their main inventory.
I would love a way to disable experience gain, even if it was something bought from the store. I would love to for example turn off xp at major milestones(50,60, 70 etc) and stay there and complete everything. Then turn xp back on and go to the next milestone. Lather. rinse, repeat.
- repair all button, not that click mess
- exchange gear for company seals: make me able to choose more items I want to exchange to avoid the "omg are you sure?" window for every single gearpiece
- oh stretch that to everything that wants a confirmation for every single item
- revamp the glamour dresser. The system is a mess, more slots wouldn't make it better
- place housing items freely on a XYZ grid without restrictions
- save and load housing interior designs, gardens ect.
- a LOT more furnishing slots per apartment / house / garden
- removal of fixed housing plot sizes - have every plot be the same size and allow for M and L upgrades by gil, materials, or in some other way
- instanced housing in addition to wards
[- (instanced) garden-specific housing with huge amounts of slots] - arguably not really QoL
- variations of special partitions like the window partition, to have them available for all partition themes, not only the marble one
- adjustable sizes for furnishings
- store bought wall textures house-wide, to remove requirement of buying one texture per blank partition I want to place it on
- optional removal of staircases to make a custom one
- place openings for staircases to basement / second floor wherever I want
- ability to mirror wall-mounted furnishings. Especially stairs
- account-wide glamour unlocks for everything I have collected
- account-wide aether current collection
- account-wide mount collection
- account-wide Mog Station glamours
- account-wide story progress
- buy individual Items from Mog Station glamours for a portion of their respective set prices
- transfer non-bound items and gil between characters on the same account, if they are on the same data center as well
- glamour dresser accessible from everywhere
- removal of gear restrictions on all glamour
- expanded body alteration options, like increasing / reducing slimness
- midlander muscle tone slider for all races
- vibrant hair dye options
- separate selection of Au Ra horns and faces
- all hairstyles available for Hrothgar and Viera
Just to name a few ^_^
