I just wanted to say I love and completely support these ideas. For the big powerful ls's, there can be a weekly charge through some sort of system for a ls to purchase and maintain their own fort. Now it doesn't have to actually be a physical fort or building, but can easily use a zone to transit into your ls's guild. Can even give ls's bonuses for owning a ls house by giving crafting buffs and maybe spaces to display trophies. Also, instead of staying at the inn, can have your own personal room at your ls's house:D
I also like the the ls transportation idea. Unfortunately with anima and aetheryte crystals in the game...I don't really think there would be a real need for it in the game. But maybe ls's can get special tele's say to certain dungeon entrances or something.
I'm pretty sure they plan to have private company housing and have talked about it quite a bit. Hopefully they can preview that in the not so distant future.
I just want them to actually attempt to balance the current classes out. Not really holding my breath though.
I want a stand-alone download for 2.0 instead of the patcher. I want a lot of things from 2.0 but what I don't want the most is a two day long download to play.
I also forgot to add...I want a friend list confirmation...I don't really like people being able to add me to friends list without my consent..and then camp me for when I come online haha. Another thing that would be nice is /sea all command of course and to be able to see what zone people are in.
That's not how it's going to work. They will start storing our information on the New servers starting in July. Everything
you do in the current client gets mirror to the 2.0 client after log-out. The down time is going to be in replacing the
lobby server. I hope they replace the log-in client instead of patching it. I figure the downtime is going to be about 8-12 hours. Not that it matters. the patch server is going to be clogged anyways and a lot of people will take days before they have the new client anyways.
Oh and I would love for them to release the Client before hand. Do I believe it will happen. Not really.
I just wish that everything that we are hoping could a least be 50% of everyone liking.. and people don't just uberhype it and then bitch about it like 1.0
Something else I want to see:
More racial dynamics. I know it sounds awful, but I want to see more implied/blatant racism in this game from the NPCs. It gives an interesting feel and it deepens the world and races so much more.
Some kind of structured/tiered content that takes months to accomplish.
Open-world content and monsters.
Fun/quirky jobs. The ones we have are the basic D&D essentials, let's add some color into the mix with cool jobs.
Server Lag completely gone
UI lag completely gone
A healthy amount of armor and weapon variety.
I know we're using them atm, but we might not be using all of them or closer to the release of 2.0 beta they'll put 1.xx back onto the old servers and prepare the new ones ready with 2.0
Also the 2.0 download will be a stand alone installer, because it will be sent out while 1.xx is still running.
well with gear swaps i know i still find myself swaping in gear in and out like mnk body when activating fist and then putting on my dd body on . i know its 1 thing but there is also other things and other jobs i would love to swap in like pld or war swap in emnity gear to use voke or flash etc.. if it isnt or is the game is getting to a point where your collecting alot of gear that situational so bring gear swap isnt elitist or bad for the game it just adds that lvl of mastery to you job and lets you to make your class/job better
I would kill for the game to.
1: Have a massive bestiary full of lore and monster info.
2: A crapload of open world content.
3: Give monsters some awesome AI back with some new tricks.
How about more differences in gear between races?
TERA : Same gear, same class, different race and gender.

Doesn't need to be this extreme but some verity would be nice.
Will try to refrain from asking for things I know will come so:
* New classes/jobs that is a mix of old Xi jobs and some new ones like for example: red mage, thief, ninja, time mage, cannoneer, beastmaster, summoner, chemist, chocobo knight and a magitek user of some sort!
* The abolishment of weapontype = class. I want to be able to mix and match depending on level and situation, not be locked in to one weapon at all times.
* Gear swaps would be nice, but I doubt it will happen. As was stated in the OP the way they did it in XI with too short and complicated macros is a bad way of doing it. If they introduced a system with drag and drop items for certain casts/abilities and allowed people to lock in a certain look (so they don't blink whenever they swap gear). I think it would be great for versatility and for the ability to work and focus on different sets instead of just getting that perfect 1 set in a couple of weeks and be done until the newest expansion comes along and outdates all of your gear again. Doesn't have to be like in XI, but a mix between that and the "new" idea all mmos have that new expansion and new dungeion = outdated gear, would be nice.
* More variety in mobs and their behaviour. Give the different families different moves that actually effects how you best engage them.
* Non-instanced content
* Level sync and I guess a slower exp rate or something because it is completely pointless to get new gear until you are 50 simply because you blow past the levels at too fast a pace. Might be some other solution of course, but so far this is the one I can think of.
* Mini games: Chocobo breeding/racing, card game where I can actually get cards from mobs/NM's.
* I want more interesting maps (I know they mention this will be in 2.0 but still). I want to get epic quests from people outside of regular cities, give me a small cottage out in the middle of a HUGE forest or w/e that gives me a quest with an awesome reward and that type of stuff. I want to be able to explore and run around and find COOL things no matter where I am in the world, I want to be surprised and amazed. I want the world to feel big and alive which atm it doesn't at all to me. Also, take away the ability to teleport all over the world... at least to the extent it is possible now.
* More variation in endgame content. Instances are fun and cool give us more of those, but all should not be in a cave and on a timer. Also it should not be more or less the only endgame content there is (together with primals)... give us more and different things to do! Give us fights in the air and on boats, give us HNMs and smaller NMs that don't pop immidietly after you kill them, give us HUGE instances, small instances, colloseum where you face NPC mob and try to get as far as possible, give us solo instances that are super hard to solo unless you are well equiped and good at soloing but you can still only enter solo (gear drops might be only good for soloing or w/e)... just give us more variety overall.
I am sure I forgot so many things, but I guess those are the ones I want the most.
I want:
- Coincounter's male lion fluffy tail (with lots real motion not paralized like kitties')
- an all-tarutaru factory offer me cheap/ affordable cookies & smoothies
- a Cardian as my follower
I want... to be rewarded for what I do.
I'd rather each class/job has their own "master" NPC that is their final challenge. The old man was a cheap cop-out. I would have felt better if my limit break fight on RDM had been against the ghost of Rainemard instead of beating up some old man. Or if my DRK fight had been against Zeid.
Love how the first suggestions are features we would have had years ago.
please keep thread alive to hear a dev reply
I love how Dev and or reps wont answer or comment love how they listen to fan base . If this thread was named imma be a brown nose to yoshida i would have had all those dev here replying
