The website actually worked for me, and when I asked grubhub customer service if my promocode went through, they said yes.
It also shows that my promocode was applied in the order history. And I got free delivery.

For me, I went and placed an order, then after seeing all the rage on the forums here, put a ticket into customer service to see if my code applied or not. They said no it didn't and applied it for me. Problem solved.
I don't get an error message but I also don't have the code showing as applied on my email receipt or the browser receipt. Very sad about this promo. But I am not going to keep trying to order stuff this is just stupid.
Niece ordered some food this morning via the app and applied the code to get the emote for me and it shows on her receipt as being added so looks all good for me.
I kept getting an error message, couldn't get the emote. Customer service said there was a digital limit according to someone. Sad.

I just got off with customer service. She claimed that it was a technical error but it's perfectly fine if I order another meal with grubhub and try again. What?????? She refused to resolve my problem. At least I have the transcript.

Rokke is 100% correct, if the payment method on the receipt doesn't say promotion (just generically "promotion") AND your payment method then you need to do something.
Hopefully SE is willing to hand out codes, the promo code didn't seem to work for me tonight on the website, it kept refreshing the page and taking it off. I'll contact customer support tomorrow and see if I can still get the code without spending for more overpriced delivery.
Edit: I went ahead and scheduled a delivery for tomorrow too with the phone, it took the promo code this time, but I don't think I got free delivery. I should still only get one code since I used the same email.

I woke up. Ordered burritos at 7:30pm.
They cancelled my order at 8:50pm; place closes at 9pm.
Placed a second order immediately, grubhub notifies me that the place got my order and was working on it.
Grubhub cancels my order at 10. reeeeeeeee
Was hungry all night.
For those still having issues the only way I was allowed to get this to work was not on the app but a new account on the web page
I think at this point, SE should just let people who ordered the food from Grubhub use their order receipt for proof, and send out the emote code. It has all the necessary information on it: Order date and time, order amount in dollars. Just like what they did during the Butterfinger promo campaign. It has been done before and worked, so there is no excuse to not do it. Unless some lazy ass management doesn't care about the bad PR.
I did it through the website and not the app, and it did not show up on the receipt.
I contacted GrubHub support and got:
TP - Ilse DT.: I understand how frustrating that can be, I apologize for the experience. It seems that the code was not applied, unfortunately, we are not able to apply it manually to the order but you can place a new one even using another restaurant if you wish.
So basically I can spend more money with them an try again. This whole promo is a sham and Square Enix should be ashamed of themselves. :mad:
Concern here and curious to hear the thoughts/experiences of others. Wasn't seeing that the promo was applied, as we had ordered a few things over the past few days family wise and called in to ask about it. Rep validated that they did not see the Endwalker code applied on the order, despite us adding it. We normally order through doordash so this was a first for us with grubhub.
They later transferred me to a Supervisor which stated unless the code shows applied on the receipt, we didn't qualify for it since they can see the full order details on their end.
Has anyone else had the same issue?

I know the emote code won't show up till the 17th, what I mean by code is the "ENDWALKER" code saying " Promo applied" as I was informed should show up on the receipt by the supervisor. So pretty worried now.
I completely agree with this, and hopefully they follow through, especially given what I was told above and what I hear from friends reporting the same.
I fail to understand how SE is at fault for setting it up, if anything its up to them for addressing it after, saying they should be ashamed of themselves is like assuming they knew it was a sham to begin with, I get people are angry/concerned as I know I am but no reason to blame others. The culprit here is grub hubs horrible system not SE's.
I agree that we should be able to get the emote for ordering the overpriced grubhub thing. I experienced what customer support labelled as "technical difficulties" and the only resolution is to buy again. Which I won't ever buy from grubhub again. It was my first experience and last. lol
First order placed on Dec 9 at 7:30 EST via app with ENDWALKER promo green check marked (took screenshot) but no mention of promo on receipt. Asked about via chat and was told that promo was applied and to expect an email with emote on Dec 17.
Second order placed on Dec 10 via website on different account flashed message that ENDWALKER promo applied and on the checkout page stated promo applied but no mention of promo on receipt. Asked about it via chat was told that the promo was not applied to the order and they ran out of codes and offered me a refund.
Third order placed to above account via app tonight now states promo applied on the receipt.
I dunno who or what to believe until Dec 17.
So I tried ordering with the code, and got "This promo code can't be redeemed again."
And the grubhub customer support was unhelpful.
Am I forced to try again later and spend more money, or is there a way to contact square with my receipt???
The girl that delivered to us said they ran out of codes. I said, ran out? It just started and she said - Well I dont have one! Then dropped my food and ran to her car. I reported her and they said they would check with her. They never called me back. I am beyond mad. Always disliked Grubhub as a food delivery. We always get the worst drivers.
This entire promotion has been just... abysmal
I went through the extra effort of actually ordering through the link on page 8 of this thread by Boldprint ("https://lp.grubhub.com/gameawards/?utm_source=@FF_XIV_EN&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=game_awards&utm_content=gameawards") and it even said that it had applied it during the transaction only for it to not apply in the history at all.
I got ahold of customer support through their chat app online (through the website) and was informed that it was apparently only 10,000 codes... Meanwhile SE had said it was 20,000, and worded it in such a way that it seemed as though only 20,000 orders would be given the free delivery... not that there was only 20,000 in total.
Then there's the whole "Limited supply available (expect high demand). FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online “Eat Pizza” emote item codes will be assigned on a first come, first served basis while supplies last." on a DIGITAL ITEM... why, just why.
I just think it's stupid to have it last through tomorrow, and have the code not work halfway through.... wonder when/if it'll be in the mogstation :/
That is the dumbest made-up story I have ever heard. Did you tell her off and everyone clapped too? Drivers don't know anything about promos and it doesn't show on any physical receipt and they don't have access to any of that information. You won't get called back because you never reported anyone to begin with. Please delete your post, we're trying to be constructive without people like you turning this thread into garbage.
I just ordered a second time from Grubhub and it said the code applied on checkout - but nothing showed on the receipt. I... really have a bad feeling about this. :D

Also wasted $30 ordering. I went to use the app, code didn't work. Went to the website, which I wasn't used to, and ended up confirming my order before realizing I wasn't in the review order tab, so I was unable to put the code in.
Contacted their customer support, yes I know it says they won't put a promo code in after it's been confirmed or whatever but I figured they could help me out and put it in anyway since the free delivery part was over and I only wanted the pizza emote. But they refused since the code wouldn't go through. I did try a 2nd time but didn't confirm the order since I don't wanna pay a 2nd time only to find out it didn't work again, and deal with their trash customer service.... Dude was like "Just order again with the promo code." That was their solution...
And square was like sorry it's up to grubhub customer support, we can't do anything about it.

Add another complaint! Just tried to order through the website, very quickly got a green check mark, but no promo code in the order summary. After reading the horror stories I decided to chat up their CS before placing order, because you can't add in the promo code afterwards! Already learned that mistake a few days ago, which, yes, was my mistake.
Their rep did verify that their system does suck. Any PROPER ordering system would show a promo code applied BEFORE placing the order, shown as a line item in the order summary. Rep verified that it will only show up on the receipt, if it was applied. And verified that nope, can't add code after order has been replaced. But rep did say that I could cancel the order after getting receipt. I didn't know I had to pray for RNG on an online ordering system.
But, now, all I get is a bad code, and there is still lots of time left until the deadline.

So, somehow I went from a quick green check mark that I couldn't verify actually was applied, to the code no longer being valid. Huzzah!
Not ALL reps on the phone will allow a cancellation, so don't rely on that.
With mine, I cancelled the 1st order. The rep first said no, he can't and won't. Then he supposedly called the restaurant and cancelled it, said my $ would be refunded. So I placed a 2nd order, being more careful. Still no evidence of any code applied. Both orders received and both orders charged, no $ refunded.
SE only told me if I have issues, contact Grubhub, who is totally useless. Very disappointed.

It's the day itself. I got free delivery, waiting to see if I also get /pizza. As of 6am Central US time, nope.
Hrm. I made a few orders using the promo code between the 9th and the 15th and I never got any sort of confirmation. I also never got anything indicating that the promo code was invalid other than after the second or third use it gave me a message saying that this code had already been used. I wonder if I'm getting it at all, but we'll see.
No e-mail so far, I'm guessing "sometime today"then?
It is currently 10:26 AM EST and I have no received an email. Will update if it shows up.
If it makes you guys feel any better didn't get promo confirm or anything yet either and also got food poisoning from the food I ordered...:( will update if I get a code email or anything as well.
