Clearly, this thread shows it's just a very small few looking for something are out crying.
But they all want to start their own thread because that is the only way they think they will be heard if every thread is blah blah blah SE .....

I hope you'll be able to actually play when you do eventually get EW again. Props for doing the logical thing and refunding, unlike what some are doing.
Without a doubt people can be angry and disappointed, but a lot of what's going on here on the forums is just some grade a bullshit huffing and puffing, as well as know it alls thinking that they alone have had the brilliant epiphany of a 'solution' that they somehow think Yoshi P and team must not have considered or known about yet.
I pretty much received what I wanted. We got a detailed explanation from Yoshi-P as to the causes of the problems and an explenation as to the steps that were to be taken to correct most of the problem. So far the fixes appear to be working. I can live with the long log-in times as long as I don't get arbitrarily dropped. Have plenty of movies and TV shows to binge while I wait. Anything else (7 days free time) is pure gravy.
Nothing. I don't want compensation. I want to be able to play the game.
Nothing. First week of any new expansion for every MMO I have played my entire life is always Hell.
This game is no different and yet i've still been able to log in, unlock Sage and level it up to 80 through several roulette duties without so much as a single issue with lag or otherwise.
And yet Square Enix still compensated me with a free week of sub. So far it's the smoothest expansion launch ive ever seen personally.
Can't login to the game in under 3 hours of wait
Can't afk for 30 minutes to get food without getting booted and having to wait 4 more hours to get back on
Can't buy limited edition statues with cool emotes because they instantly sell out and are scalped for 5x the price
Can't fish in the same spot for too long "because of bots"
Said fish can't have any useful value because bots would exploit that too
Can't go to any starter city without getting spammed with RMT shouts and phishing whispers
Can't have a stable way to farm gil that isn't patch nerfed soon after becoming popular
Can't farm tomestones for more than a few hours before reaching weekly cap that makes it neigh impossible to usefully kit out more than one job in a game with nearly 20 jobs
Can't buy a house because none are ever availible and even when they are they sell out instantly while you can't log into the server. The fix is "well you can if you win the lottery" LMFAO
Can't have nicer mounts and glamors without spending additional money on the mogstation.
This game thankfully has a lot of fun elements, but honestly there isn't anything they could do to compensate for all it's failings. We've all known for years they aren't going to adequately fix this stuff, but we still sub and play so there you go.
Compensation? All I want is the "hardcore" WoW immigrants to go back to Azeroth where they belong and take their streamers with them so the rest of us who actually do enjoy the game can get in and play it.
Refund the game
Store credit. Plain an simple. 2 weeks delay and any problem for logging. 3$ of sub time isn't losing the many money. I love the game but the online features are quite behind the standard of the industry.
I've been enjoying myself, playing on an EU server later in the day while in the US means I can get on with no troubles at all.
I'll gladly take the Chocobo Boots item though, kweh
I mean, i'm not raging but...I wouldn't say no to them adding a masumune for samurai...my sephiroth glam would finally be complete.
Playable Nu Mou and nothing less.
No rage here. Was expecting a lot more people than usual trying to log in and this ain't my first mmo. Getting down to 1 in the queue then getting a 4004 got a 'are you effing kidding me!?' then I read the explanations for 2002 and 4004 and the challenges se are facing and was satisfied. It's going to be challenging when let's throw money at it won't get it done.
A full month at this point. I know it's not much. I blow $15 a day on stupid stuff all the time. $15 refund for one month's time would be a nice gesture- not 7 days.
I would like to get my subscription money back. The I would return to play like 2 or 3 months from now. The way it is now its unplayable. I work all my day and the only moment I have to enjoy a bit of gaming is at night; but I can't:

This is likely to take 2 to 3 hours or so, time I don't have unfortunately. I knew the logging issue would be bad, but not this bad. I very much want my subscription time back, or a least a way to freeze it until this issue is fixed. I already canceled my subscription renewal, though I want to keep the Endwalker expansion. Its just not the right moment to be playing the game I believe.
Also speaking this subject here on this forum in particular seems like heresy.
I would like them to add offline function where can play till you can join online. It beat seating for hours waiting on the queue to let you play.
It's been better than any MMO I've played.. I think the refugees from WoW that only know how to rage on forums need to just go back to WoW
- And honestly if you want to log on so bad, wake up a little earlier.. queues in the morning are like 13-40.
How were things during ARR or SB? Was there queues in the multiple 1000s? How long did it take to become reasonable queues (hundreds or so)?
During Shadowbringers I remember I experienced queue like 1800 or so during the first day. I don't recall any 2002 errors. Two or three later after the release there were queues like 200 or so until it was gone. From what I have seen, it may be related with the number of people trying to get in, not those already inside the game, since when inside there is not a single issue, at least for me.
Indeed its lkely related to the wow exodus, which in itself is a good thing, we are able to get more people; but I cannot comment that SE should have at least tried to mitigate this issue beforehand.
Rage? If you're raging on the internet, you have the emotional maturity of a middle schooler. SE has already explained the situation.
About all you can get is time. But a compensation, but not really that would make me happy is. An honest World Population Cap + Planned growth that equals new hardware. The "it's shortage" fault side doesn't seem to look at the equation of when the other side thinks servers should have been ordered. And I am sorry anyone who thinks OCE would make a big diff to NA/EU population seems kind of delusional. So if I knew Crystal was at 100k players and SE growth is 10%, but hardware purchase needs Crystal to hit 150k. I know not to get mad at SE and if I am not enjoying the stability of the world I can leave.
Better forum moderation would also be nice. Not talking about removing posts people don't like. We all have biases if someone is trolling or not. But just Sticky EW appreciation thread and Login issues. Some one starts a new thread move it into the appropriate sticky.
Also you have to consider the statistics provided to SE by the pre-purchases. SE knew the number of copies sold during that time, and applying some basic statistics based on previous early access number of players that choose to play during this time, it was possible anticipate this kind of scenario. In my opinion, I believe FF14 dev team did this, but someone high on the company, outside the dev team mind you, decided not do anything, expecting the issue to disappear as time goes on. Believe me when I say this; if the cost needed to fix a problem is greater than the cost of damage after the problem occurs, companies always chooses the later.
A simple refund would suffice. I play pretty casually for the MSQ and a bit of leveling + to try out raids before going back to grinding ranked mode in FPS (Apex, Overwatch, etc.). Starting to think I might not be able to budget in any more time for the game by the time the queues are even halfway doable.
I'm not outraged, but a code for one free month of subscription to be applied at our leisure (like when it's actually possible to get into the game) would be great. I'm expecting to to be January before I'm finally able to log in. That's okay but it feels like a waste to be paying a subscription fee for a game I can't presently get into on my characters.
1. I'd like to be able to play the game during prime time PST hours without queues exceeding 25 players
2. Additional Free Game Time to make up for all the times queued 3000-8000+ players
3. I'll be agreeable, Redeemable Vouchers for Poetics like 7 Days * 600 Poetics = 4200 Poetics at least to make up for all the days I couldn't log in during prime time pst hours because every evening I run on this Tank Toon (DRK/GNB/WAR/PLD on this toon) for Duty Roulette Poetics to get relic weapon mats. Time is Poetics, lost time is lost poetics.
4. And some stacks ilvl 510+ Food and some of the newer higher bonus EW good stuff that gives 10% Crit, 10% Vit, 10% Skill Speed or Determination at least so I can AYCE out on my avatar. Don't go cheap on this plz.
5. These disconnect errors while waiting suck too so throw in some extra XP bonuses as well.
But what I really want is mostly #1, if not, there's the rest of the list.
This.
I'm still surprised we got dozens of threads all saying the same thing, sometimes five from the same blasted user who for some reason keeps making threads to say the exact same thing again and again... and nothing is done, nothing is merged even though it's obvious it should all go in one thread, be it complaining or praise.
It will never happen, but compensation in the form of something that would actually be useful, like an additional retainer that you don't have to pay a monthly for.
I'd like to have a cannon romance option with Y'shtola.
I mean, I'm at most peeved about all the 2002 going around at this point, but I'd want that if there were login issues or not.
Honestly not looking for compensation, I just want to be able to not have to sit in a 5000 person queue as soon as I get home unless I log in during the morning and avoid disconnecting for the entire day until I get back home from work
I would like for there to be a grace period for DC's. I've gotten disconnected because of 90002 errors THREE times tonight. I've waited more than 7 hours total in queue.
For the first time in 4 years I'm considering unsubscribing. I don't have a house I have to worry about auto-demoing ever, and I might just forget this game exists until January-February.
I noticed in at least one thread that many in the irate camp seem to be keen on some sort of subscription-based apple delivery service. Perhaps they'd like a membership with a fruit of the month club?
...
A house.
Is that an option? 'Cause that would be cool.
Not that I've hit "rage" per se as I've been able to sneak in at least 2 instances of some play time (although both were just a little over an hour), mostly been disappointed with the lack of foresight and preparation on the part of SE (again, not the Dev team, they're amazing, just whatever management seems determined to nickel n' dime their infrastructure).
Free world transfer (1 time) for active accounts.
Can I have a week off work?
Hmm... I would like 5 apples.
