Can we please have increased tomestone rewards for the Moogle Treasure Trove event.

It still forces people to run the same stuff again and again. If they had included the roulettes into this (with maybe 1-2 more stones) then at least we could have helped newer players for every single dungeon and it would give some variety. But right now if you dont have much time and want the earring (the only new item on this) you need to run 50 Syrcus towers..the rewards is imo just not worth the amount..and does it even help the people? What about all those that want to do the HW raids? Or the HW dungeons, or even just the first ARR dungeon? All of these might suffer because people can only run certain content to get stuff. On top of that you can get these items with squadrons too.

IMO this is nothing but a horrible "event" to make people sub longer. Kinda ironic when on the same time Yoshida states that he does not want such an MMO..

People posting suggestion threads without clearly stating them as suggestions in the topic title have been a plague on this forum (and surely others) for a while now. It's really not the same thing as someone making an unsubstantiated claim about someone saying something they never actually said.

At least get tomes if you're joining a duty in progression.

Did Castrum to help, got nothing at the end, was a bit disappointed x)

Was originally going to write 25-27 but I wanted to be large. The runs can be really smooth but you never know when a party will be slow, so it was safer to say 30-35 and show it's still the most optimal farming. :)

BLU Masked Carnival gives a lot of allied seals too, with weekly bonus. That aside, there's 100 seals for 1 kill on the weekly hunt bill to get some more casually, just a few minutes per week.

when we are at it. Right now doing dungeons for moggle stones is absolutly not worth the time and no alternative. They take longer than the raid most of the time and give you just 1. That just feels like SE Trolling you. Atleast make the reward equal to the raids like sirous tower or world of darkness. Also it would have been realy nice if there where some missions you could do with your squadron for the stones. But thats how SE usually is. They have a nice idea and do not think it over.

the event is honestly meh, I don't need to buy EVERYTHING that's offered but they could have at least added more dungeons / raids to the list....

What about the people who want to bird farm, or scale farm? What about... stopping the what aboutism. This is supposed to be a bit grindy and keep people busy until the expansion. And we run the same stuff again and again for other things- current tomes, current mounts, etc.

If you really don't think the reward is worth your time, then don't do the event. Several people I know have 0 interest in it, or would rather be doing other things, and are.

From what I hear, you can do the offered dungeons with your squadrons and get a tome. Someone in NN did Tam Tara in about 8 mins and said LoA/etc was overall faster tho.

Not going to voice an opinion on whether we should get more tomestones (though, i would like to see all 1-50 dungeons get them so you can do leveling roulettes all day long for them.. y'know, use the event as incentive to help newbies who bought the game for shadowbringers); But you know that the two things you just compared aren't really comparable, right?
A grind is not difficulty, it is a time investment. None of the tasks that we need to do for this are difficult in any real way, but they do take time and that's where a lot of people have to draw lines on doing something. If something is difficult, you can get better at the game to overcome it; but you can't really overcome investing time, you can only spend more time.

And yes, I just did and can confirm that you can get a tomestone with squadrons. I guess I'll just spam these dungeons, better than the Syrcus Tower imo and the time investment is practically the same if not faster. Plus it gives more xp to level alt jobs.

Because this is something that seemingly should help newer players but wont because the dungeons are restricted and you can farm them with your squadron. So I give feedback on what they in my opinion did wrong.

Also I wont do it so no need to be so aggressive.

I do not attack people/threads for things they didn't say, nor do I make suggestion threads worded as if they were changes actually being implemented to the game. Try again.

This Event is just a lazy content stretch . Takes way to long and the rewards are so bad. I dont know but anyone who wants mounts just go pf and you are way faster

I'm just doing it for the more "difficult" stuff to get.

Nowhere on the event page does it say it's to help players. It says to run dungeons, get the tome, get item. Repeat. I mean, if it does help new players at the same time that's great, but I don't see that as why the event was designed.

By this point we honestly should be looking at end of HW- end of SB players if we want to realistically get as many people caught up to ShB before the exp, but the event doesn't focus on that either. Linkshells, pf and the NN are where I'm seeing most people getting brought up to speed more quickly.

Edit: If the issue people had with the event were PURELY altruistic, and they wanted to help the most people possible before ShB I'd be fine with that. But that complaint always seems to fall after 'Increase the drops so we can work less.' So I'm not sure how to feel about it.

I didn't mean for my post to come across as harsh. If it did I apologize. Like I said I know several people who see this as not worth their time, so they're doing other things in game or playing other games. I see people here saying the event is not worth their time: it would be better to do other things with it then. Logic.

Well the selection of the dungeons (and the two big MSQ) and raids kinda hint that this is just their way to push people in old content. Maybe the crystal tower is there because it will be important in the next expansion but especially the two MSQ dungeons are a big wall for some players. If it does not mean that then why not just give them in every single content? Or at least for roulettes.

it really isn't hard to grind it, I already got the Pegasus mount and I'm working on the Namazu earrings. Literally just by dong what I do everyday (Main scenario while watching tv, Alliance roulette (change your ilvl to make sure you get the ARR ones) and leveling roulette which has been giving me the ones with moogle tomes lately. That right there is 6 tomes per day just by running roulettes and leveling your own character. Not to mention you could run main scenario while doing something else to grind 3 tomes per run. I really hope SE ignores this complaining and leaves it as is. Tired of them catering to the ones who don't wanna put effort for things and getting everything for basically free like they did with the Ixion fate.

Only reason I can think of them not giving it in all content is to make it grindy in particular. There's a drain you feel from doing the same thing 100 times versus 10 things 10 times each. It generally makes you want to space that out- maybe over a month or so, until just before the expansion hits.

Plus I imagine this is a trial run of the event. I'm sure they'll change up the dungeons/tomes later if we do it again. But if they're hoping we'll re-live LoA/etc before 5.0, most ppl have cutscenes off. If a few people get helped through that's good, but at this point it feels more like they were trying to tie the event in loosely with upcoming content, but that's it. It's still supposed to be a grind.

Meanwhile there's stuff like story mode Susanoo that ppl wait 3 hours on, etc. It's not just the Crystal Tower arc, which is why I said it would of made more sense to focus on late HW-end SB content to get ppl caught up. it's a lot easier to get 1 person to Zerg ARR content with you than it is for HW and SB. I was in a Nidhogg clear last night and we wiped first try. This is the big reason I see the events purpose as grind, get tome, get items. There's so much content that takes forever to que into, but SE didn't award the tome to msq roulette or mentor roulette. That just says grind to me.

Could it have been done differently? Of course. Should it have? I'm not going to argue that one. Either it's doing what SE put it there to do and it's brought back, or they go 'well this flopped', and change or don't re-use it.

Edit: If you think about newer players, SE kind of has to choose low level dungeons for the event. If they picked HW/SB dungeons players still in ARR wouldn't be able to participate. They upped the requirement for the Noctis event to lv50/Ultima Weapon done, so pushing for Crystal Tower isn't too far fetched from there. But generally for events, the required lv is 15, occasionally 30, and not past ARR msq. If that's the case, we would be looking at more low level dungeons in the future.

I've been grinding these a bit, and I agree the amount rewarded is a tad skimpy.

But I really doubt an increase will happen.

Is is just me, or are the WoW refugees flooding the forums lately? Hyperbole (you're not supposed to have everything), pointless, intellectually bankrupt insults (you're all entitled babies, everything's handed on a plate etc) and downright misconceptions (THIS GAME IS SUPPOSED TO BE CHALLENGING BY GRINDDDDDDD). That said, I do agree the amount asked by the OP is a bit much. But +1 to the suggestion that the current amount of moog tomes should be doubled. The CT raids were never fun, but now people's idiocy has been increased by at least 200% because they want the dungeon to end faster. It's so pathetic to see half the raid crowd at the exit of the encounter doing nothing, hoping to sprint off. While leaving the other half to finish up the remaining mobs/boss. And with the current amount of moog tomes, we'll be seeing these people a bit longer than we should.

If you want everything just spend maybe a month Same as you'd be doing on the tome grind building up your daily reps followed by a few hours of ex primals unsynched followed by a few hours of diadem with a group. would have ALL of the prizes aside from riding maps which are easily got by killing those level 50 A ranks Branks(when you're high enough rank in your GC) 4K allied seals later faster riding all through ARR land. 4 hunt trains and you got the riding maps for both hw and storm blood the only two things I see worth the grind is the Answers Orchestration and the Earrings.and the pets just do the raids associated with them until you get.

Only played WoW until level 20ish over a decade ago, sorry, but no WoW refugee here. Some things are just meant to be a grind. I really wonder how much of this game you've played. Grinds have been around here for... ages, in the base game, 1.0, and both expansions, in multiple forms. Atmas, the Yokai Watch event, Eureka, Anima weapons, beast tribes, custom deliveries. All of those are grinds, just different forms of them.


Also, the CT raids are one of the better set IMO, though maybe thats because I did them when you didn't outgear them insanely.

I wouldnt mind a slight up, 4 a run instead of 2 would be nice but I can live without. I grind a lot so its not a change for me really, just a change of place.
