How much game time did you pay for between July 1 and August 31? (if you had a sub payment before July 1 whatever time was left on that sub payment counts). You need 90 days of subscription from July 1 forward. If it was less than 90, then if you reach 90 days subscription paid from the July 1 point to September 30, you'll get the mount when the next batch is sent out in October.

90 days subscription time paid for between July 1 - August 31 = Mount sent on Sept 5.
90 days subscription time paid for between July 1 - September 30 = Mount sent on Oct 5.

I think it would have been much nicer if they had waited the 90 day timespan to send things out due to subscription timing and then added a small chunk of time afterwards for a second chance.

Yes. The 90 day requirement only starts counting from July 1st, with the first batch of mounts developed if you have at least three months left after August 30th. You should get the mount next month once you renew your sub.

Sounds like you just barely made the window because August has 31 days. If you renewed then, it counts three months since the first cut off period was August 31st at 11:59pm PDT.

I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took a falcon mount to the knee.

Mount is cute but it isn't game play in the slightest. Whatever the next plan campaign is...it wont help my subscription decision.

Falcon mount should bet he first dyable mount.
Even only metalics are fine.

I have a monthly recurring subscription and I get billed around the 29th/30th of every month (I think). I'm still kind of confused as to where that puts me, do I have to wait until the October wave to get mine? Do I still even qualify at all?

Depending on their exact calculations you were probably just a day or so short going month to month so you should qualify for the mount on the October 5th mount distribution.

To sum it up simply, no you do not qualify. You need to add 90 days to your subscription, and wait until October.

Never got mine and I paid for 180 days subscription with crysta 8/30/2017.

When did you pay for the 180 day subscription? The cut off for today's distribution was the end of august. If you (like me) had a renewal after that point then you'll get yours October 5th when they do another round.

Its probably a system thing. The Falcon Subcription reward system is likely the prototype for a future Token based subscription reward system that will give out reward tokens every month.

This mess is caused by not all months being 30 days long.

If you had a 30 reoccuring Sub that renewed between June 30th and July 2nd you could have gotten your Falcon today. Any other day and you are waiting till October like me.

When did your payment go through? You'll either have an email or can look at your bank account. If it's listed after August 31st, you'll be eligible for the second give out next month but just missed the cut off for this one.

So, a quick question.
I paid for a 90 day sub on June 27th.
I got the 15 days of extra playtime during the whole 'Recommended Servers' kerfuffle.
I currently (Sept 06 at time of writing) have 35 days remaining until I renew.
Does this mean I'm screwed out of the mount, as I'm not going to have a chance to renew for 90 days?
Or I have to wait 15 days more for the mount?

You were going to be 4 days short of the mount anyways as the Recommended Server bonus doesn't count for the subscription and they calculate days subbed based on July 1st.

As for being screwed out of the mount probably not. All you need to do is add 30 days of play time, and even then the Falcon mount is likely to be obtained in other ways in the future.

The mount itself is tuned to fit for only the default character height for each race, if you have changed your character height, it doesn't fit. Taller characters will have their legs clip the mount, and so on.

No wonder I felt that the mount was too small. Devs please fix this! Pretty please!

I'm at max height and it doesn't clip as far as I can tell O.o

Are your hands on the handles properly? Mine doesn't clip but it feels cramped.

The Magitek Armor mount originally did not have Terra's theme as part of it. Players asked the developers for it, and Yoshi commented at an event that "if there was enough demand for it we'll add it". Then this thread was made: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...tek-Armor-Tune so they added the music.

We probably need to do something similar for the Falcon mount soon..

first payment was july 7, then aug 7, and coming up sep 7. So, yep, missed the campaign.

Idk why they just make these 90 sub day campaigns 4 months long instead of 3, that way everyone gets the reward at the same time.

Ok so despite it not showing up in my account i did receive the mount yesterday.
It may very well be my new favourite mount :)

If you didn't get extra playtime, you would have been able to sub once your 90 days were done on September 25 (Sketchy on the exact date I haven't checked how days tick off). It was well enough time for you to be able get it once you renewed your sub.

With the extra playtime, you won't be able to renew your sub until AFTER September 30 and you will not get the mount because the cutoff for October 5 wave is end of September. The only way for you to get it is if you add playtime through the game time cards. You may not be able to get another chance at getting this as this was one of the ways they are doing away with the Veteran Rewards (and none of those were available by other means).

im not entirely sure whats up, my sub ran out on august the 31st, i renewed it on the first of this month.
so technically i added 30 more days after the cutoff date to receive it the 5th of this month.


however it said something like "early access campagin reward - falcon mount" or something similiar, in the checlist of my rewards for about as long as i can remember, well over a few weeks ago

Literally, the cutoff date for the 5th of this month was the END of August? If you renewed it first of this month, you renewed it Sept 1 which is not in August.

Also, I've been checking every few weeks since the campaign was announced, I was eligible for the reward as soon as July 1 came as I had 164 days that counted. It never showed up as an item in there until the day of September 5. I even checked on September 4, it wasn't there. It shows as "Mount: Falcon" by the way.

I honestly feel the whole campaign is badly handled and not thought out in anyway. You have players who have kept their subs active yet becuase of when their sub renews they wont get the mount. SE is going to make it obtainable later most likely through the mog station for $20-$25 which is nothing but a middle finger too people who were subbed during the campaign but missed it cause of their renewal time. Should have been setup so that as long as your account was active during the event time you would get the mount not the way its set up now.

The only way I can see someone who keeps a recurring sub not getting the mount is if they got added free time such as Valcarde's case. The added free time is a pretty bad slip for SE to not notice when they made that part of the incentives for transferring / making new characters on the affected worlds. Everyone else just gets the mount on October 5th. The campaign has been up this entire time. If for some reason someone was affected (30-day sub and got 30 days for free for buying it), they would have seen the in-game notice. They had that opportunity.

Edit: You get the mount. On october 5. You're not going to miss getting the mount. You get it on October 5. Unless you got added free time like Valcarde.

Well now I am concerned again.
I last paid for my sub on the 8th June for 3 months, and I have the free playtime as I made and levelled characters on the new Omega server.
I will next be billed toward the end of september.
Am I going to need to go and buy a bunch of game time cards or will I be just scraping through by the skin of my teeth? The cut off is the end of september, so surely I will make it...?

Nice to know but their rules are convoluted and confusing. I read the rules again and some of the posts here I now understand the rules better but there is still going to be a lot of confused players cause of SE sloppy explanation.

As long as you've renewed your subscription by the end of the september you should be good. You just need 90 days of paid (not used) subscription time on your account between july 1 & the end of september.

So long as you're making that payment for the sub in September you will be good. The only issue is if, from my understanding of Valcarde's case, your payment is outside of September.

Edit: The bonus is for 15 days? Your starting date is June 8, 2017 so that means that 90 days later would be September 6, 2017. 15 days after that is September 21. Thus your payment is in end of September and you get the mount.

hah, thank you. I feel a bit of a dunce for not just doing the maths instead of panicking. I guess I just saw stuff about being released in tiers and cut off dates and recurring subs missing out and just assumed the worst for having not paid much attention to it all until now.

If Valcarde's case means he can't get it based on recurring subs + free time, the only way you'd lose out on the mount with a recurring sub is if your sub will run out after September 15? September 16? That means the added play time pushes you into renewing in October, in which case I'd go and get a time card yeah.

How is it confusing or convoluted? If this is an English native speaker issue, please let me know because I don't know those difficulties. The only thing I thought confusing or convoluted was checking eligibility. That only ever showed on September 5 when I was eligible as soon as July 1.

The eligiblity part is what I was talking about. Even I can explain it better then SE did so people arent so confused.

-If you purchased a 90+ day sub before July 1st and have 90 days to left as of july 1st you will recieve the Falcon mount on or after Sept 5th
-If you purchased a 90+ day sub after july 1st and prior to Aug 31st you will recive the Falcon mount on or after Sept 5th.
-If you have a 30 day re-occuring sub and subbed the entire event you will recieve the mount on oct 5th.
-If you purchase a 90 day sub between Sept 1st and Sept 30th you will recieve the Falcon mount on or after Oct 5th

The free time part was explained well enough no need to re-explain that.

Yeah, i was actually looking at the wrong thing like an idiot for the reward list.

regardless, i still got the mount despite renewing my sub on the 1st and not before that.

Bleh, i renewed my sub pretty much immediately after the 31st, like 2 AM CST (two hours after the 31st) so chances are they were still counting days added until later on in the day or w/e japan time things do

Man, I hope I don't miss out on this... I used a 60 day time card on July 13th, then another 60-day card yesterday when I saw these things going out to people. Worries me that it didn't update the 'Additional items' section with the Falcon after I applied the 2nd time card to my account...

You should be fine Hezkezl, You just need to have 90 sub days credited to your account by Sept 30. If you applied your second card yesterday then you got the 90 days and should recieve the mount on Oct 5 when they do the second wave.
