Then why are you still in FFXIV?

Let's see....I pay money to play this game like you do. I complain so things can get better. This just isn't your game. I play cause im hopeful. i play cause there are things I still like about this game. But it doesn't mean I should accept anything and everything. Im a consumer. As a matter of fact, why is it that every time someone doesn't agree or has an issue, many of you say that the person should leave. Did you leave when you had an issue with the game? Do you leave everything that you have an issue with silently? No? So stop with the leave. I don't rage quit. I am disappointed that they are slacking a bit. And I've defended this game in the past. I've defended Se as a company. Its still my fav. company for rpg. I had my expectations high for this game, so I could say that is my fault.
Not necessarily. More like the dummies you can have outside of your house. You can't take him with you, but it's something that gives you an idea of how well your dps is, and how well you have your rotation down. Those skills should translate into the fight. I rather like the idea of not having a parser in raid content etc. It just gives way for people to single out and target others who maybe need a little more training, rather than berating.
I believe we need ingame parsers. I hope that most players wouldnt bash casuals in casual content. And people are expected to be good in EM primals and raids anyways.
On Ragnarok there are actually parties stating "low dps or kick". But these are usually farm parties so if anyone wants to clear/go easy, he can make his own PF. Anyways even when I went to parties like this, I have never seen anyone get kicked. I guess it means that people shouldnt be doing 300dps less than others which would usually mean they are semi afk..
My use of casual in that comment was more quoting people who use the excuse of being casual for why they can't do raids or devote 'time' to learning content/jobs or don't like parsers. I myself would be a casual player so I'm not doing the typical 'filthy casuals' insults.
Not saying people have to do raids or anything but using the excuse of 'time' or 'being casual' sounds ridiculous to me most of the time. Btw when someone with more experience than you tells you that X is more optimal than Y it's usually true (assuming they know what they are talking about) since there is no 'other' way to play jobs, like it or not it's easier to balance classes this way so it's likely going to stay.
To be fair. Even though he basicly said: 'git gud', he still ended up buffing both. Meaning the players were right. Now I do admit mch is actually pretty damn good, brd I can't say. I'm still disappointed that mch didn't become a full fledged dps class, though...
FTFY.
I'm a skilled player but do not have the social skills or connections to make it in the game's raiding content, so I just don't do it. If the baseline of skill were much higher I would actually be participating in the high-end content more often than once in a blue moon, but I'd rather not waste my time trying to get all the unskilled players caught up with basic mechanics.
