Base weapon damage needs to go and a DPS calculation should be added into the gear/attributes window based on a players total stats.

Yea I suppose but it still doesn't change the fact the DMG stat trumps all.

Which is why I say DMG should be based on your stats not be a stat of its own.

Aye, they do need to do something about that. It sucks because I'd like to try some things out with a Crab Bow and Hart Guisarme but there's no point because I have Ifrit's Bow and Harpoon. Meanwhile a Lightning Brand with Int materia is the shiznitdigity.

RPGs are getting way dumbed down, look at mass effect to mass effect 3 they added less stuff and it's terrible.

Really? Look at Diablo 2 VS Diablo 3. How about Neverwinter Nights 2? Torchlight 2? Pokemon BW?

How about FFXIV itself, which went from free for all button mashing zerg fights, to fights that actually require certain classes, skills, combos and positioning?

D3 isn't even going to come close to D1or2
NWN2 was the start of the decline

Really, you say torchlight 2, a button mashing zerg fights and say ffxiv button mashing.
