    [dev1072] Bringing back the other stats?

    In this Picture You can see there were more stats(this was in alpha). When beta came along they got rid of some of those stats. I would like to see some of these back. Mostly charisma and agility. I was just wondering if there was any word on bringing these back into the game.


    PS: I didn't see a thread pertaining to this.

    Agility was rolled into Dexterity, I believe.

    Charisma (and luck?) turned into Piety.

    The stats we have already are messed up enough without adding new ones.

    So thats why we are having such hard time on drops and crafting! xD Its ALL ABOUT LUCK! And the luck attribute is constant 16 :P So thats why i more often get hq on 30 quality than 300 :P

    Dexterity ate Agility. No seriously, they're basically the same thing what with Dexterity being a synonym of Agility and all. Its simpler this way and simple is usually best for this sort of thing.

    Luck is a stupid stat. It ends up being either horribly overpowered or completely worthless. Besides how do you make yourself luckier anyway? O.O

    Charisma is also a stupid stat only used by FFXI BSTs BRDs PLDs no one. Ya Charisma is useless in any game where you can't make some sort of bluff check. We get Piety which is actually potentially useful as it boosts M.Acc.

    -Dexterity: Skill in performing tasks, esp. with the hands.
    -Agility: Agility is the ability to change the body's position efficiently, and requires the integration of isolated movement skills using a combination of balance, coordination, speed, reflexes, strength, endurance and stamina.
    -Charisma:Compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others

    I don't think there needs to be "luck" in the game. But I think (by these definitions) separating them would bring a different level to the game. I just wonder what made the decision to get rid of them, and if there's any talk in bringing them back.

    Luck stat would be awesome imo... it is a FF game after all^^ ... btw that ui window looks alot better than what we have now imo xD

    Luck I'd imagine maybe affected hit rate and crit hit rate?

    Still I agree with Zetonegi, dexterity and agility are basically the same thing, that's why you usually only see one of the two in games that have stats.

    dexterity - physical, esp manual, skill or nimbleness
    agility - The state or quality of being agile; nimbleness.

    They are only the same if you use the definition that is closest to each other..... gosh. You can be fast. Fast at what though? Im a fast runner, im fast with my fists, ext. Its all context, I just wonder why they took em out.

    Maybe they were removed solely on the case of their being 'too many stats'. Since the stats aren't explained in the instruction manual players were required to work out how each one affected their character.
    For a new player, that could be quite difficult. (e.g/ Playing as an archer, do I stack dexterity or agility? Or both?)
    Plus how would charisma affect your character? If the game gave the multiple choice options during NPC communication I could see a point to it, but otherwise it's fairly useless as a stat.
