So now that fatigue is going away....what about Gathering Fatigue?

Yeah fish leves needed a nerf, but not THAT much, golly! I remember how pissed I was when I got 200 sp from a fish leve (All three levequest fish got a "You lost what felt like a..." message). It's a waste of aspect and I quit.

I'm happy we get some more SP but fish leves need to be fixed so that when you DON'T CATCH THE LEVEQUEST FISH IT DOESN'T COUNT TOWARD YOUR TOTAL!

EDIT: I'm not one of those who used the exploit by the way. I was a solo player and was unaware that leve linking was even possible... maybe someone could enlighten me on why I'm being "punished" for that?

Actually, in the fishing leves where you have to catch 3 special named fish, missing the catch doesnt count against you. you are pretty much guaranteed 3 successful high SP catches on those.
The other ones, just fishing at the schools of fish, should have the number of attempts increased. Only getting 6 attempts per one of those leves is crap. even if the SP is higher per success than the other gather classes leves of the same type, a fail is catastrophic compared to.

Oh, I never linked my leve - I just fished for 30 mins with GA. When my 30 mins of fun turned into 3 minutes of crappy exp, it was just about the last straw for me with this game.

So the last straw for you was them fixing a blatant bug/exploit? Looks like it's time for you to find a new game then. Big secret here, that's kind of their job.

I wonder how many people quit when the NM faction leve exploit got fixed then....

Edit: Missing a fish counts toward your total on the Fishing spot leve. It shouldn't

thats a bug fix, its not gimping

its like saying that the NM faction leve trick was a "gimp" too

you sound like someone who likes finding these bugs and using them if you care that much about them

You'd think if I were using bugs I'd be at a higher rank. =/ I must be a sucky bug user. I told you I was a solo player and I had no idea leve linking was possible before the leves were gimped. Besides, I don't even wanna hear this out someone who probably never even did a fish leve since the game release.

As for NM gimp, I don't know about that either. But I can tell you one thing, they didn't punish Battle classes for people exploiting it did they? No.

They did, they fixed it.

Nah, that's not punishment they fixed it.

Here's an easy way to fix fish leves without making them completely unusable.

The bug wasn't that you could catch fish for better sp for 30 minutes, it was that they allowed leve linking for it and then someone could fish for supercharged sp for 30 minutes.

The fix? End leve linking for fish leves.

Doesn't punish legit players, legit players can still get decent sp from fish leves.

Why is this not a good plan?

EDIT: While they're at it, they should probably just get rid of linking for all gatherers. Unless they want to be nice and make a leve where it actually makes sense to party. But since their not in a giving mood when it comes to gatherers there's no point in linking gather leves at all.

Considering they fixed it they did not intend for people to be able to fish supercharged for 30 minutes. The point of the leve is to complete the objective, get SP/marks and move on.

The fishing leves now work like pretty much all the gathering leves which is another problem entirely but that's not the point.

I don't consider it a punishment, it's just how game development is. Things are changed over time and become easier or harder depending.

Yeah Gather leves are pretty much broken for the most part... (See Edit)

EDIT: I think by faction points you mean Aspect? You don't need faction points to do a gather leve. But Gather leves are pretty much a waste of aspect. I think that gather leves should be the way fishing leves were so that you can gather for greater sp than without the leve. But they shouldn't allow linking if they're going to do that.

EDIT AGAIN: Cause, let's face it: If there's no advantage to doing leves SP wise, there's not point to the leve.

No I meant faction points for the NM exploit. You could just keep doing the faction NMs without spending points if I recall correctly.

Starting a faction leve, abandoning it, rejoining it, and still recieving algian runstone all while being able to do it next reset without spending faction points on it. Fixed.

Yeah excpt for the "Get SP" part. It's much better to just straight grind fishing. Leves on fisher are a waste of time. So they went from useful and exploited to useless and abandoned completely. That's why I say not a fix, it's a break. Better to keep it useful and remove the exploit.

I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand.
