Then I'll start drafting one and post it up here once I've sent it, including the link of where to send it to and how to send it so others can follow suit if they wish.
With any luck, I'll have it ready some time tomorrow.

Why dont you guys just use paypal...
Paypal is limited? I thought it was a world wide system.
My friend in Korea uses Game Cards on Paypal then pays Ultimate pay and finally bought Crysta lol very tedious.
Some country doesnt let you to use crysta and SE's fuckin retarded CS wont change country for you. You are now stuck with CnB which not any less retarded because it rejects CC from some country. For the last time, ths whole shit is god fucking retarded.
oh really? thats retarded, how do they expect you to play once it comes to p2p?
I have sent the following letter to SE:
People can write their own letters to SE customer support by going toQuote:
To the accounts and billing team responsible for Final Fantasy XIV,
I would like to bring your attention to the following topic in the official ffxiv forums:
http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...Payment-System
I understand that a lot of the responses there are filled with frustration, but beneath the rage are a series of genuine concerns that the community has been expressing since FFXIV was released. These concerns can be summed up with the following points. To each point, I have a question. I hope that the answers I can receive will at least help put the concerns of the community to rest, or perhaps even see that they are addressed.
There is substantial unrest regarding the legitimacy and reputation of ClickandBuy:
Without exaggerating, ClickandBuy has a very poor reputation in the FFXIV community. Those who have read the fine print have discovered a wealth of fees including annual administration charges, currency conversion fees for those outside the UK or Euro Zone, credit card usage charges (every transaction in the case of FFXIV) in addition to any additional fees that a user's bank may impose.
Furthermore, some banks have been found to put a block on transactions form ClickandBuy, as they deem the service to be disreputable and suspicious. On top of this, if one were to terminate their Square Enix account, this has been found to have no influence on the ClickandBuy account's activity or status. Persons have also had difficulty terminating their ClickandBuy accounts due to week-long delays in, or non-responsiveness of, the ClickandBuy customer service team. Many people have been avoiding ClickandBuy like the plague for these reasons.
Does Square Enix acknowledge that there are concerns within the player base regarding the ClickandBuy payment method and can Square Enix explain why this specific company was selected to offer a payment method in the first instance? Would Square Enix be prepared to consider employing an alternative company if the need arose?
A restriction of availability of payment options:
Firstly it is apparent that Crysta is not available in all regions. This includes regions that have access to the underpinning programs that make Crysta possible, such as Australia. In some of these regions, some players are finding that ClickandBuy does not recognise their territory, leaving them with no payment option at all. Examples of this can be found within the official forum thread referred to above.
Is it possible to implement Crysta in additional regions and, if so, what are the reasons for this not having been implemented so far? Additionally, what assurances can Square Enix offer that this game will be able to be played anywhere in the world, given some countries currently have no payment method?
A needlessly complicated billing system:
Many players are comparing the complexity of setting up their payment methods to FFXI's PlayOnline system. Questions being asked are why players cannot be billed directly by Square Enix rather than going through a series of separate entities.
What is the reason for not continuing with the PlayOnline set-up and why has Square Enix chosen to employ external companies and processes instead?
FFXIV is in the unique position of having a free-to-play period while the game remains in its re-development phases. This offers Square Enix the opportunity to take the time to implement a world-class payment system. Conversely, it is my concern that if these questions from the player base are not addressed in time, it would lead to a mass-exodus of players once the first billing cycle begins. If the questions above could at least be answered to provide context and information to the player base, then Square Enix's billing system may be able to gain some supporters from within to assist in preventing such a financial disaster. Currently, the community is festering in their dissatisfaction. I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,

https://support.eu.square-enix.com/c...hp?id=903&la=2 , logging in on the right. I went the the catergories of Account/Billing, Billing issues and described my problems as "Payment options query", then proceeding to Email support.
Let's see what happens.
we need more like in this thread... :|
When my husband lost his wallet, and we had to cancel the card that the game was registered with, it took me two weeks to finally get someone on the phone and have the CC information changed...turned out, I just ended up opening up my own C&B account and putting the accounts under my CC information. That company is complete filth IMO. They should be done away with.
OH wow, I just read the above letter, I think I'll be doing an alternate payment method and switing the accouts over right before billing goes live. This is ubsurd that they charge so much and some banks won't even deal with them.
Wow that is bad... SE really needs to change this. Already having enough headache FFXI allowed me to use US credit card on my Japanese FFXI account but FFXIV being region specific + because of the new company they are using I cannot use US credit card to pay on JP account. Had to buy US version FFXIV with NA account and finally can setup credit card through this crappy C&B.
we need justice in this thread! :(
I don't understand how people can disagree with this? One of the great things about mmo's are the options. Having multiple payment options in no way can hurt you, but only help you. If it doesn't affect you in any way why are you so against it? multiple payment options just means more players. I can't understand why anyone would be against this. -.-
If you read the thread, the reason people are disagreeing with it is because it DOES effect them... Some can't even play because their area is blocked, some can't use C&B Because their banks won't let them because they don't trust the company, some don't have the option of buying Crysta!
So people are disagreeing because it is, in fact, effecting them. Please reread the thread.
Could be... but there really aren't any post where people are complaining about it that don't have an issue. I see where people say they don't mind using C&B, or that they don't have any issues.. but everyone who has a genuine concern over this and is complaining have some type of issue with the payment plan than is effecting them. So since he said 'people' in general and didn't mention anything about understanding why people who did have issues are complaining, I took it as him wondering why any of us have an issue since he doesn't specify.
Bumping because the devs really need to read all this...in hopes that it will get to the right person >.>; to fix the C&B mess >.>; I hate C&B with a passion! >_<; A deep deep passion!
I hope they give us other options because I don't know that I'll be leaving my Click and Buy account open. After having to go through the whole click and buy process when setting up my account, I was seriously ticked off for weeks. It totally ruined all the excitement I normally would feel from of starting up a new MMO. I've already canceled the payment agreement and I'll likely be cancelling the account as soon as I can figure out how.
Can we have PayPal directly onto SE account management pls... :C
I think you have to send a written letter to them letting them know to cancel the account, you are better off just getting a knew CC and canceling the one your C&B account is on. That is what we had to do when my husband lost his wallet. Because he works and I'm a stay at home Mom, they wouldn't dare touch the account even though I have everybit of information about my husband! Heck I could have a stool sample and they woudln't careless. So we just had to cancel his CC and put the account information on my CC, which meant I had to re-open another C&B account. N-I-G-H-T-M-A-R-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's awful :( I feel like SE dropped me off in a bad part of town without cab fare. Its certainly not a good impression to make on a new customer when the fraud department of your bank calls you right after you sign up.
I guess I'll just leave the account open and neglect to update the information when my card expires. I get the impression that they won't be deleting the CC information from their records even if you do cancel the account.
Its been almost a year and I still haven't signed up for any of the payment options...
They're all just terrible, in my opinion. I don't know why these unknown places are used as options but Paypal, a service most people feel comfortable is not.
https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/we...ntries-outside
Japan and over 100 other countries can use the service and many other MMOs have integrated paypal into their payment structure, so I know it's possible.
Seven-year storage of hard-copies of paperwork, I bet! Once your info is on file it isn't going anywhere. Even if you change your details, they'll keep a record of what you changed it from for purposes of legal liability and all that stuff. That's bureaucracy for you.
And that's another reason why we constantly get warned about being careful who we give our personal details to in this day and age.
So I wonder if a Dev is ever gonna comment on this and at least let us know it's been read and that they know of our concerns. You would think something as serious as how our RL money is going to be handled, or in some peoples case... how it can't EVEN be handled would be a concern?
No response from my email enquiry yet.
Possibly been chucked on the "Ridiculous" or "Yuk" pile. :(
you know, most MMOs have cards you can buy at your local licquor store that pays for the game. you pay $15, type the code on the back of the card into the games main website under payment options, and your set for a whole nother month!!!
either that or you type in your CC info, select if you want to be billed every 1,3 or 6 months. you get discounted if you select 3 or 6 month billing cycles.
i dont get why SE doesnt have any of these features.
so Dev.s, any of you gonna step up and comment on the games future payment methods? there are pages and pages and hundreds of posts of people who either do not or cannot use the given payment methods.
Needless to say, if this issue can't be resolved before the game goes pay to play, I won't be subscribing regardless of the improvements to gameplay.
This issue needs to be resolved much sooner than that. Playonline billing is getting transferred to Square-Enix accounts, which means I may cancel my FFXI subscription due to crappy payment options.
They do have this option, you can use a generic UltimatePay (Play?) card to buy Crysta and pay for the game but it's not in all of the countries, and some are stuck with no payment options or Click & Buy. As some have said... their banks tell them not to use C&B because it is shady. So some are left with no options on how to pay, or can only use a company that their banks tell them not to use.
Waiting on your reply SE and/or Devs.
I would really like to see a rep response to this thread as well. Regardless of advancements and growth in the game (sucking less), with this PITA payment system, the game WILL still flop, it's not even a "might". People like flexible payment options and this isn't the 90's where our CC use could be dictated.
People will always choose the path of least resistance, in the case of an inconvenient billing system, that means moving on to a different game. Rift and TERA are already licking their lips in anticipation of this game to go P2P so they can scoop up the dropout customers.
Given that FFXI is widely perceived as the Square Enix cash-cow these days, one would question why they are making billing any more complicated for it. Moving the billing system to one of a more poorly received game does not sound like a way to keep subscribers smiling, especially when said subscribers have made a conscious decision to not move over to playing FFXIV instead of XI for whatever reason(s) they deem most applicable to them.
