If anyone ever pay attention to party finder, the current highest ilvl can be set is 200.
You get the idea, if you don't,....lol.

Honestly, they will likely just treat it like CT. Allow you to grind them as much as you want to, but lock you out from loot for a week after you've won a piece from each turn (or maybe even one turn). At the same time, I could see them lifting the loot restriction from CT and allow people to farm it for all the ilvl 80 loot they want.
In other words, BC 6-9 becomes the current 1-5, BC 1-5 becomes the current CT and CT loot becomes the new Darklight standard that everyone will be wearing while grinding for their weekly BC 1-5 pieces.
That progression makes perfect sense and should be ok for everyone.
All of this talk about the weekly lockout being removed from coil...
The question that begs to be asked is whether or not loot lockouts will be applied?
I am not sure if this was clarified in the live letter, as I did not watch it. So, to those who did watch the stream: did Yoshi P comment on the possibility that the removal of the weekly lockout will be replaced by a CT-like loot lockout?
Pure speculation on my part, but I would not be surprised to see this.
I'm waiting for the announcement that current myth gear will be obtainable with philosophy tomes and the new gear will be the new myth.
Oh what a glorious day on the forums.
The speculation on that is whether they remove the per week Myth cap, or raise it... w/e they do with Coil myth/hero gear is likely to follow hand-in-hand.
if they remove the locks (coil/myth) come next patch then this game is definitely not for me. unless they don't apply any locks on the new content as well, then that would be a different story. otherwise i can just unsub for 3 months come back the next patch and catchup within a week. dumb it down more SE. dumb it down more lol
i think people are seriously missing the point, CT 1 and BC 1 are the first tier, with the 2.2 come the second tier of the endgame.
you really want to make people go through lockout in the first tier, when the second is available? i means, all it will do it's make the people that had the chance to get a group and a lot of luck for get all them item to be able to experience the new content...
the BC1 will loose the lock out, normal, the BC2 will have a lockout like have BC1 actually.
It's like he's never played an MMO before.
... Should I still be upset that the Bonereaver's Edge I got from our first Ragnaros kill isn't "da best" anymore? I mean, I know that was like a friggin decade ago but c'mon dude. We killed Ragnaros. I spent like all my DKP on that badboy I deserve to be the best! THE BEST! DO YOU HEAR ME!? THE BEST O_O.
remove the lockout but dont nerf the content.. t1-t4 is already easy as is.. but more importantly, how could SE introduce harder mechanics if people aren't even used to the 'average' level of mechanics?
Lockouts are a completely different animal than gear scaling up over time, which is inevitable. Unless of course you want sideways progression... with our, what, 4 stats that matter? Yeah bruh, I totally want that ilvl90 PLD gear with those sick mind and piety boosts, I can like, cure for 300 now instead of 200... and twice more than I used to before running out of MP. Bruh. Great Expansion.
I was referring to the guy who is freaking out about people being able to put turn 1-5 on "farm mode", and assuming this was because his precious i90 gear atm will soon be devalued. Hence my original post making fun of that by saying an item I fought for 10 years ago should totally still be awesome.
Why else would you be upset about this? Anyway, I think we just misunderstood eachother.
you already know SE is gonna uncap myth and going to cap the new tomes.so please oh please leave now and never come back.
It's the "I got treated shitty, why would they have it easier than me??? Young ones, all sissies!!" kinda deal. That shows in thoughts like "When I was a young lad, I'd get beaten up, and it forged character. No one talked about bullying or intimidation, it was the good days..."Quote:
I don't understand some people.
- people cry foul over coils weekly lock out of each turn. It gets changed with no lockouts period and people cry foul still?
So basically, the game is doomed to only ever have one relevant raid to run.
People starting the game a year from now will
1. Level to 50 in a week
2. Run CT 10 times for full Darklight and IL 80 Gear (no need to dungeon grind)
3. Run 1-4, use echo to kill 5
4. And bam there in the top tier raid, and they do that till lockout and there done for the week in 1 day again.
This game should be pushing to have all the content be relevant not kill it with the next update and kill that with the next update etc.... I hated that about wow. So many beautiful and good expansions to run that people never got to see.
See the problem isn't that new people can't do the old content, its that there won't be anyone to do it with them. Wow Had the same problem. I Got into wow during WOTLK. I wanted to do some BCB Content.... But everyone raided wotlk content and didn't touch bcb content. As such I never got to see BCB until I got all the way through WOTLK and we were bored so we wen't back and 5 manned some BCB 25 mans...
In 2 years you want people to have 20 relevant raids to run, right? Such that they can be certain they will NEVER catch up to top tier people, ever, even if they play no-life?Quote:

People who would catch up to top-tier in a week are top-tier themselves. And with a huge amount of time to play, to boot.
It's too bad you don't play a game to have fun. I login and do stuff with my FC. I don't do pugs, and I don't look for elite groups that could carry me, even though I probably have the ilv (and the role: healer) to be welcomed. I ONLY do stuff with my FC. I do CT with the FC. I do primals with the FC. I do coil with the FC. No one from FC? Then I'm crafting or something, but not running stuff.Quote:
and they do that till lockout and there done for the week in 1 day again.
And that's how you manage to login more than 2 hours a week. You actually enjoy the social aspect, and also play for other stuff than pure progression. If I wanted to be graded/approved/praised for being good, I'd go to school.
Disclaimer: I play over 60 hours a week average. I haven't beaten Turn 4 yet. I took until mid November to get my relic (even though I started the first day of open beta and played every single day). I haven't beaten Garuda EX yet either. I haven't tried Ultima HM. I did beat Moggle pre-nerf, but don't consider it a shame that it was nerfed. I got four of my crafts to 50 before my Arcanist. And I didn't go in coil for 4 weeks while I had it unlocked, because the FC was having issues getting a full group originally (now we're having 2 groups, but originally we had 6 people maybe, and if 3 didn't show up, it was called off). I wouldn't run it with a pug, even for loot. The entire fun is running with people you might develop a certain bond with.
lol indeedQuote:
u dont need to spend 24 hours a day to cap everything in a week for this game. lol
You use "u", that tells me everything I need to know about you.
its gona be fine. Im sure gona be weekly lockout like ct.
Back in my days we had to use phones at home to call other people who could only answer if they were home. But these days the kids have cell phones that completely ruin my achievements in telephone calls and give them such an easy time to talk to each other. I'm sure they could call all their friends within minutes, while it could take days in the past to reach them.
I'm really upset they didn't think this through first and made sure phones evolved horizontally so we only had different colors but still had to call from home. That way there would still be some skill involved in calling people. Now it is just nerfed and I have no respect for anyone who uses cell phones. They are all scrubs.
People who intentionally spell you as "u", are as "r", for as "4", to/too as "2" are most often very immature. Either physically young, or mentally young (and not in the good way of 'still having innocence'). They're also generally not very intelligent compared to people who don't kill their spelling intentionally.
I make allowances for people on sick medications, people who are pretty drunk, pretty high, or who don't type with their hands - at least on a real time chat system. On a forum, you got no excuse. You're just a scrub at being intelligent and mature.
Edited to add:
Isn't it funny that the people who intentionally misspell using u r 4 and 2, can write super long guides, with paragraphs, capitalizations, periods, commas even. But they're so scared of those three letter words and the 0.1 seconds it takes them to type it. Or they don't want to look too intelligent, in case it makes them look nerdy or something.
Shorthand on a forum makes no sense to me but I digress, he's right. It shouldn't take a whole lot of time to get everything 50 but it does require a lot of time actually spent *doing* something. 60 hours a week leads me to believe that you spend a lot of time doing nothing to advance classes or advance content. That's fine but no need to jump down Axidrain's throat for point it out.
They better have some restriction to Turn 1-5....
I'm not even that geared right now, but before the patch I will probably have full ilvl90.... but there will still be lots of people that haven't even started on Coil yet.
Making it easier to get T1-5 gear is a good thing IMO, because it moves the game along... But you can't just make it totally without any lockouts. Then people that have actually put time and effort (don't have to be hardcore to be close to ilvl90 when the patch comes out) will be classed in the same category as the ones that haven't progressed at all.
An MMO should never make previous gear useless. Make it easier to obtain, but you have to scale it to how long it took for people before the change.... So if it took players months to get ilvl90, you can't just let people get it within the first week of the new patch.
Also, why intentionally reduce the playtime for the game ? If you don't want more people complaining about too little endgame content (except hardcore players), why not ADD to the content instead of replacing the old content ?
Ok, so 1 day is :
Forum : Cry cry and more cry, please remove mitology cap i want to equip all my alts!!! how am i soppose to do it if i can't get more than 450 myto in one week!!
And the other is :
Forum: Cry cry and still more cry, please don't remove the lockout from coil!! or people are going to get full ilvl 90 in one day (this make me lolz, people who can play that much probably already are full ilvl90)
BTW
Removing the lockouts from coil is better than removing the weekly cap for mitology...at least you have to do hard (or harder) content to get your ilvl90 and not only WP or roulette. And for player that start playing the game now is a good thing.
Also, players who are farming coil for weeks and still miss that one itam that never drops, will be able to get it...eventuallyXD
The only problem that i see is than no one will do Crystal tower anymore...but who cares?XD
I don't know why people are so upset about this? Who cares if turns 1-5 have no lock outs. In the general interest of the game its a good thing, otherwise they are causing a barrier of entry for new people.
Also I think this new idea would also benefit the old players too. I for 1 have my dragoon ilvl90 for ages and my smnr is now ilvl80 and my schloar ilvl76.
I have been running coil with my static for the past 3 months and nearly everyone in the group has their main classes at ilvl90 and their second classes not that far behind.
With the introduction of turns 6+ it will allow old players to may be better use the job system. I have been thinking about running as my smnr or maybe i'll stick with my dragoon.
most of the people that moan about "noobs" catching them up in a day are just people that want to feel special for having x gear; who cares ^^.
And in all seriousness they will still be playing catch up, these new players or "noobs" or "scrubs" as you refer them as, will still need to gear up - i doubt they will run coil 1-4 non stop and then they will need to down turn 5 before they even get access to turn 6+ by the time the majority of the player base has even accomplished this the hardcore will already be ahead!
BUT Play the game for your sense of achievement!
Not missing anything. They're nerfing and removing lockouts on old content while preserving the disgusting gating mechanic on the latest. It's as ludicrous as getting bent out of shape about people being able to acquire DL now with no restriction.
New tokens and new Coil zones are being introduced which will presumably increase the gear iLevel by 20 or so levels which is the difference between DL and Allagan/Myth currently. So, yeah, what is the deal exactly?
like i said why is this an issue and how does it affect you? the only honest reason i can think of is you are butt hurt that the majority of the player base will have the same gear as you?
This is not a new concept in any mmo, it happens all the time?! Yes you spent "time" and "effort", and you will have to do it again, but that's how its always been.
the playerbase is the bloodline of an mmo game, if you hamper new players or the majority player base you will over time lose supply to the brain = death!
i dont mind them making past content worthless. but i would also like to have no progression locks for new content too. like i said. i dont want this game to remain a one week a day game.
Nerfing doesn't mean that it will be super mega easy, it will still be harder than WP, maybe twintania will be doable with an avarage of Ilvl 75, but you'll still need coordination for phases. it will still be harder to get full iLVL90 with 2.2 than it was getting to full ILVL70 before 2.1.
