remove FATE locations from the map, nerf the exp granted by 25%.
remove FATE locations from the map, nerf the exp granted by 25%.
Amen!
Really though, this is the only feasible thing I can think you'd be able to accomplish in a day on top, everything else would take more time.
Scenario #1: "Ok, I've almost finished adding inertia back into the game, now to hit save and-" *Mr.P walks in flanked by two tall men in suits* "Time to relinquish control, your time is up."
*Mr.P sits back in the command chair* "I have control."
Scenario #2: *spent the past 24 hours banning bots* "Bwahahaha! Die RMT DIE!!!" *Time's up, heading home feeling accomplished and believing time was well spent* *Booting up the game the next morning to see a blanket message for all servers* "Due to technical difficulties, all worlds have been rolled back to the past 24 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience." me/you: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo!!!"
Drop PS3 support.
I want to say "turn on vanity system" but I know its going to be coming so what I would actually do is have the "cannot equip headgear" body armor be affected by display/hide head and /visor.
Also add the ability to dye all armor.
And be able to convert all gear to materia (or at least be able to sell to npcs, even 1 gil from an npc is better than being forced to throw something on the ground)
I would also say increase dungeon xp but that's literally right around the corner...
Maybe try to add in a special place for players to zone into where they can gather a party of 4 or 8 and grind experience like the old days (maybe have the exp be less than that of a dungeon reward but still high enough that its worth going to and having fun at) ...
oh yeah and the idea i had a while back, add in a death arena (could easily be a guild heist) where a group of players fight endless wave after wave of mobs (that becomes increasingly more difficult, like start off with something easier like 3 bandits and eventually get to a point where your fighting like 2 titans) until the last player is dead, then everyone auto raises and is rewarded exp and gil (and maybe even tomes and seals depending on how far they get) based on how far they got before total wipe.
>< and also get rid of this character limit on the forums, seriously its a friggin forum not a twitter account
I'd get the environment team working on opening up the existing maps so that they're more than just canyons funneling you into little pockets surrounded by invisible walls.
Hrm...
Implement crafting parties with bonuses just like regular parties!
Hire Ghostcrawler (Greg Street) to design encounters.
Um... what?
So... you want to replace fates, an event where monsters spawn, and sometimes NPCs, and players must fight them and/or protect something... with an event where monsters spawn, sometimes NPCs, and players must fight them and/or protect something...? Fates ARE campaign battles.
1. Will raise sub costs, buy a server farm in EU, and hire dedicated in house server team, upgrade server capacity.
2. Ask developers to create solo super hard mode quests/mobs outside of the main quests (as strictly timed instances) - w/ rare drops
3. Implement rare drops crafters can use to make ilvl 90+ items
4. Make vanity items store-able in armory
5. Contract manga translation groups to do localization
6. Implement vanity slots as a priority.
1. Add minigame area... as priority. Chocobo racing(mario-kart rip off style), <insert a throwback minigame>, giant roulette wheel, slots and tons of wonderful unlockables to purchase with your tokens/tickets.
2. Add party size adjustable dailies with adjusted rewards. Duo, 4 players, 6 players(?), 8 players etc. (each lower party one having lower rewards that scale higher as the party size gets higher, leaving every type of player to be happy while still leaving certain instance's party size what they already are. i.e; Coils of Bahamut, Crystal Tower.)
3. And of course, if it was some limitless power.. I would add more of everything. More dungeons, more jobs(specifically a support buff/dps), more skills, more gameplay depth, more races, more housing decorations etc.
That's about it.
I would sell the game to the highest bidder, and GTFO of the country asap.
Muscle sliders for ALL races and sex.. maybe I wanna be a ripped female lalafel. Also more emotes, simple sure, but I like to hug random people or lay down without having to type /emote hugs (inserts random persons name). and I would like toggle dance emote loops, sometimes I just wanna dance while I am waiting for a queue to pop without having to spam /dance motion the whole time.
Also, more hair and face varieties. While the character customization in this game is super coolies awesome, it really could have gone above and beyond, give me a few slider options eh? I like wider jawlines.
And last but not least.. MORE CLOTHES! And space for them! =D Because as a fashion hoarder I can never get enough sets of clothes to look perty in when I am standing around doing sweet eff all.
1. I'd make Miqo'te kittens available to play (Basically Lalafell size, just because of the cuteness)
2. Chocobobreeding / racing
3. Butt slide. (I don't see the need for a package slide, but I guess that can be thrown in?)
4. I'd make Miqo'te ears more catish. (because of cuteness)
Add a side quest to break your bond with gear.
Make it a dark, black market/underbelly of uldah sort of thing. A purchase of an item with myth or philo would be a good hurtle from everyone doing it constantly.
while I am at it whole black market section to uldah in general
1. I would make an item that allowed you to make unicorn mounts explode when you target use the item on one, sending the rider flying off dramatically with ragdoll physics and permanently killing the mount.
2. Anyone who used the words yolo, swag, lel or any other terrible combination would burst into flames which would last x amount of time(the timer got higher for each consecutive use of these words, going as high as 96 hours), the flames would kill them, and they persisted through death.
3. Vote kick
4. A punishment system for toxic players, voted by the community as to whether or not they should be punished or not. Same thing as league's tribunal.
5. Add Fat Chocobo as a epic primal fight
6. A method of detecting botters/rmt into the client, these players would then be flagged for pvp. When killed they would be kicked out of the game not be able to log in while they were investigated.
7. Make the rmt special task force competent
1. Stop mobs from leashing.
2. Add non-fate HNMs (Vrtra, Tiamat, etc) to roam a perimeter.
3. Set a limit on FATE exp, so PLAYERS LEARN TO PLAY THEIR JOBS IN DUNGEONS
4. Fix server lag issues.
5. Turn everyone into a Roegadyn.
Delete DRG loots from Coil
the difference would be that there is an actual purpose to doing the campaign, and they last alot longer, and the mobs live longer than 2 and a half seconds.
I'd allow you to choose how many units of an item's stack you want to buy from the Market Board.
I'd have Odin's Zantetsuken OHK All players currently in the shroud area
OW PVP, especially so when I die in a boss fate when a healer is watching me tank it and stands there and DPS's and watches you die (since you know the mobs target is ME and you see ME dieing) I can come back and kill them.
1. Separate queuing for DF from current party status. So you could queue and then join a group, do a fate, or whatever while waiting for it to pop.
2. Move server-side checks to the client like most other MMOs do (lag delay on position checking, etc)
3. Add more customization to jobs (like specs from WoW/Rift/other games) so we're not all exactly the same.
4. Include an option to loop BGM outside of instances.
5. Change Crystal Tower loot lockouts to at least be per job if it absolutely needs limitations.
6. Make quests repeatable on each class. I would have gladly done the same questlines again if it meant I didn't have to FATE grind on my alt classes
7. Open up quests that are restricted to your starter city (prior to airport pass). I started in Uldah during beta 3, and I was really disappointed when I couldn't do the Uldah level 1-15 quests on my alts after I started in Gridania during open beta.
Fairly minor gripes though.
I love the game.
More open-world content, less instanced, more exploring, a sense of accomplishment, a sense of danger in the world.
Also, I'd make minions evolve <_< >_>;
I would change the camera UI so that you could choose to keep the camera at a set distance and angle regardless of the environment (ghost out walls when needed). This is hands down the most annoying aspect of the UI as a tank when you are always back to the wall and unable to position the camera to see the action / AOE, adds, etc.
i would grab all S E's money and run off.
I would add open world NMs with drops that matter, make teleporting harder to get access to in order to make the world feel bigger, add boat rides and airship rides back into the game and not just the current cutscenes, make the fish caught from fishing more useful, add a type of end game similar to Sky in FFXI, and put ninja, red mage, and blue mage in the game.
Delete the PS3 ver entirely!
End the stupidity of having the game suffer due to this horrible system!
I'd turn it into FFXI pre-abyssea with these graphics and Tera style combat with skillchains and magic bursts.
Add Philo mats to full day cycle, untouched nodes in random, unused slots and only 50% of the time.
Use Toil of the Mountaineer/ Pioneer on all untouched nodes or unlock them one at a time if you wanted. Then of course unlock the unknown each time. Toil is 250 GP, 250 more to get Field Mastery III up. An Eorzean day cycle runs around 48 minutes real time. I calculate you would need around 3 hours to get 9 Potash or coke. Assuming you got 3 in a row hits on Potash or coke.
Then I'd fire the guy that thought Shard farming was a good idea.
I would reset the forums completely.
A clean slate.
make lockouts class specific
I would change the WAR limit break to have curious george come out and throw me his Bravura, duel weilding his and mine, and doing a super steel cyclone :D
