Let's not pretend these raids are that easy for the majority of players. I get that's a common saying lately, and it's certainly true for experienced people in statics in full penta-melded crafted gear with past Savage experience. But I can assure you, a ridiculous ton of PFs are absolute dumpster fires. I've spent more time with groups wiping to proteans in M1S than I have clearing any of the new raids.

Healing is not the issue with savage, but mitigation.

Right now raidwides are designed with feint+addle+reprisal+something else in mind.

Pure healer cannot do anything at all if mit is unexpectedly missing since it will cause deaths (and likely is killing the healers themselves and good luck when your magic dps is almost certainly a picto or dying as well).

Only shield healer can do something, and that usually involves GCD shield spamming and experienced healers will rather bail the party that does not mit rather than do that because content so far made GCD-less healing playstyle meta.

For all the overturned tank healing complaints all WAR does in savage is just saves healer resources and makes it more comfy, it does not drastically changes playstyle or cause healer adjustments.

What does far more is GNB and DRK with magic mit on something like M3S where almost all incoming damage is physical.

I quit half way through Endwalker and came back switched to tank for the first time since ARR which doesn't help because every pf is always filled up with tanks

To be fair I don’t blame him for not playing these roles, hell I actually support him not playing those roles

Party Finder doesn't even mit, meless don't use second wind or bloodbath, I can understand in a tryhard static trying to make it like this, but when tanks don't even reprisal big AoEs attack I've found out how much healers have to do on pug groups. Not that I disagree that healing should be more interesting than it actually is, but they are definetly needed.

No, what is needed is for the DPS and tanks to press mits because there's nothing the healer can do about 20% mit just flat out missing.

Like honestly it's a challenge to learn to heal in PF when people have shaky gear and don't use self sustain or mit, it's pretty fun, I must imagine how boring it is to be in a static where all your heals have been put in an excel sheet and you just press 1 and your big buttons every 2 minutes.
