Actually, Cinco de Mayo is mostly celebrated by immigrants and neo-socialist groups.

I thought that happens mostly in August.

I find irony in the fact that in the Canada Day thread people wished each other well. However, in an American holiday thread it turned into a pissing contest. Go figure...

Happy 4th to everyone in our country (USA) - take a minute to reflect and realize that we live in one of the most prosperous nations in the world. Remember that we live in the least violent era in written history. And remember the sacrifices that many paid so we can have these privileges. Remember all of that and then take 5 seconds to donate a couple of bucks to a nonprofit.
