Relics have always been boring, they are designed to be. This is just old school mmo design and it sucks. I'm glad everytime a boring grind gets reduced and replaced with just do whatever content you like.

Are we gonna ignore the elephant in the room that widespread access to something devalues its worth in a world where everyone strives to be as unique as possible?
Completing Manderville questline is challenging enough.
at the end of the day (or expansion in most games like this one) a "relic" ends up being glam anyway.
forget which relic it was, think the second one, I did that, pretty much swore I would never put myself through it again. so, just something that I do normally anyway without a huge grindfest (for the second step anyway) I am more than okay with. we have no clue what the next steps are going to be, so, can complain about it AFTER its all said and done, whining about it now seems to be jumping the gun...
Honestly the accessibility is a pro in this case. The biggest loss of accessibility is the entire Manderville story and I already know people who say that is too much. The grind for this relic is front loaded especially if you don't like Manderville. Also just gotta say, there's already a lot of shiny weapons in the game and at this point it's take your pick of which version you prefer. I care very little for the perceived value of that shiny.
