Yoshi-P: "If you want more engaging content, go play Ultimate"

If you want more engaging content as a healer then queue things solo and get matched with random ppl. There's lots of DPS out there that stand in mechanics they shouldn't be, and tanks that think they can mass pull with gear they should have replaced long ago while not using any of their cooldowns... >.>

This is an extremely BASED opinion on my part though because I'm a controller user andy and having to add more buttons for full on damage rotations alongside your meaty healer toolkit will just overload the cross-bar hotbar setup into a complicated mess.

Healers are already required to focus on dps'ing due to enrage during prog while healing is kept to a minimum.

The holy trinity is already in shambles due to them giving tanks healing sustain (except for DKs, oof), and dps' self-healing options.

Give healing a try in the current end game content, and you'll see you really have nothing to be nervous about. You'll find yourself with nothing to do, but to dps. Then get annoyed that you only have one button to dps with.

If the party is wiping I guarantee its more likely because everyone decided to stand in the bad as opposed to a healer not pressing their buttons. Please.

And I have on both Pandaemonimum and other content synced and its still bonkers and engaging for me. Im just not the "best" healer around in this game. I WISH I could be confident enough in the role to complain about how "stupidly easy and braindead it is" to dps, but like I said, my opinion is extremely based. But I also feel the OP and others's opinions on the issue is also very much based too. I dont think healing is boring at all, as long as everyone is still alive I'm happy.

i love raiding, i love ultimates, but my god what an awful take.
What about savage recelars? what if i want to farm extremes? what about my dailies? what about the msq?

what if i DONT want to spend 15 minutes in a single fight only so i actually have to touch aspected helios?

if only there was a way to make jobs themselves interesting, rather than fights... hm...

You're just being such a precious one today arent you? I like how you rapidly dismiss others takes with your own opinion with "NOPE" its not healers fault its everyone else. Good for you that you can heal without breaking a sweat, doesnt mean everybody else is also on that same boat with their healing game. I already gave up any hope on Squeenix part to make any decent adjustments for any improvement on Jobs and Gameplay related aspects of the Game.

I guess having improved Graphics and only releasing one new Thing after another is more important than keeping the whole Game in check. They even went so far, that they plan on REMOVING fights and replace them with solo instances (like Kap Westwind) instead of making proper adjustments. I am not going to wait for another Year just to have a chance to adress things which ends up being ignored anyway.

Its a shame that i have to give up my Medium House for this, but im going to give up on FFXIV until they make a proper rework on the Design of Jobs as a whole. This isnt worth 12,99€/Month for me anymore, so Goodbye. "Lets wait and see" has been fun.

As the game moves more and more towards being solo-player-welcoming, one can fairly easily see that giving all players in all classes enough tools to make the MSQ dungeons trust-playable is likely going to become a prime design goal. Any and all tanks can likely think of Cecily's heals (in squadron) and how you basically need to use your own tank healing to stay up.

There is money in these players who love FF but hate the thought of FFXI and FFXIV because... people.

One can imagine that with the focus, any call for more challenging healer play will lead to comments about optional content like Savages as the patch progresses as the way to find that challenge.

But for more engaging gameplay, that's the part Yoshi hasn't addressed, he only addressed challenging.

They are two separate concepts, even if they do have a little overlap.

That sounded so out of touch with what the playerbase wants and how the game is played that for a second I thought I was listening to a WoW streaming, Yoshi P once said that he wonders if the devs of that game even played the game now I wonder if he does the same in ffxiv because that takes screams little to zero experience
