That was my point. Maybe I didn’t express it well. Like he had a story then got given this surprise addition that didn’t fit with his story and it turned it to poop. Since it seemed to focus more on the dwarf tribe which isn’t a yoko taro thing probably a yoshi p thing he wanted added.

That is a pretty good metric for them. Certainly not someone who posts a thread and states "So the NA reception to the Nier raids seem to be mostly negative" as if that is some sort of fact because that is what they want to believe.

Except participation means naught when non savage players have to run it weekly to get their coins & with hair being a free for all instead of a Unique if you don't want spend gil you also have run raid anything from 1 - 1000 times depending on RNG.

Eureka was a big success in participation but fairly hated but it was the only way to get your Relic weapon so people still did it even if they hated it, much like the complaints about this step of Bozja people hate it but still do it for that Relic or PvP it still gets some decent participation cause of all the rewards attached to it's currency.

Other story only big things I dislike about this tier are the rewards for Drg/Tnk could've been Nier Second half outfit & that raid itself is pathetically easy which hate cause it's boring but like cause it makes re-runs each week something simple that I don't need pay much attention in any of the fights.

That has to be the worst metric.
Everyone needs to run it once to experience the Nier raid and it doesn't take a long time to unlock the 3 raids.
I didn't liked the Nier raid but I'll have to do it once weekly for the hair and the coins.

I didn't liked Mhach raids, but I did them anyway. I liked Ivalice raid but I didn't ran them more than the others. Unless it was because I was aiming to get a piece of glamour, I wouldn't run the content multiple time.
And it would be for the rewards, not the raid itself.

It's a failed metric.

You don't need to run the raids to upgrade your gear. Try running A trains they are more that rewarding both in tomes and nuts. And running the raids for upgrade coins can be said about any of the tiers not just shadowbringers.

Another generalization. There were many of us who enjoyed Eureka and who enjoy the current relic chase. You can certainly speak for yourself.

I never said that the whole NA dislike Nier raid.
I'm not even from NA.

Stop putting words in others mouth so you can control your view about how the Nier was received.
And 24 man raid are much faster than hunting to get your upgrade component, wether you like it or not.

Nier raid reception is mixed, that's a fact.

You need to run 3 raids to upgrade gear. Add queue times and duty times and see how long that takes. I can cap using A trains in about two hours. That doesn't only give me revelation tomes to buy gear but nuts to buy an upgrade for tome gear and also gives allegory to buy rain to upgrade crafted gear as well. A trains are a bargain when it comes to rewards.

SHB's 12/12 A Train yields:
480 Nuts
360 Poetics
240 Allegory
120 Revelation

Relative to rewards (gear/hair/etc) this tier has had some of the best rewards in my opinion than any of the previous raids.

In my opinion the Nier raid was pretty fun mechanic wise but did lack in story. Since I did not play Drakengard or Nier I was confused most of the time and had no idea what was going on, even after I read up on the wiki. I was glad they announced they would write a original story for the Endwalker 24-man raid.

I would also not equal the participation count with success. There are also players that only play the 24-man Raids for the fun fights or rewards, even if they dislike the Raid's story.

You do if your preferred method of obtaining upgrade tokens is through more engaging content. As someone who primarily caps through Hunts, I can say while very efficient. They're utterly mindless—to the point if I'm multi-tasking, I'll briefly afk because it literally doesn't make a difference when two hundred people are beating on a thing scaled towards i430 gear.

You can't make this statement. Not when the dev team repeatedly made adjustments to Pagos specifically because the backlash was immense. Furthermore, we have Lucky Bancho's census data that depicts a drop off of nearly 50% for all regions prior to said adjustments. While it may be unofficial, his statistics have been fairly accurate and reliable; bolstered by the fact near every criticism levied towards Pagos, and Eureka itself, was addressed either throughout Stormblood or in Bozja.

It isn't a generalization whatsoever to claim Eureka was not received well. It may not been the dumpster fire some make it out to be, however a dev team doesn't make four separate adjustments to a piece of content in a single patch cycle when things are performing to expectation. Nor do they publicly apologize in their subsequent Live Letter for misinterpreting the intended audience.

Yep. It was NOT received very well at all. Even after multiple nerfs it wasn't enough to get a lot of people to come back. Pagos was poorly handled and is still viewed as the worst Eureka zone.

Nier is more known than Drakengard I reckon. Especially after Automata success.

I'm sure a Drakengard would been as fine but I imagine it easier to market Nier raid crossover with SHB than a game many probably haven't heard of.
