I thought omni-directional targets didn't have the point on the "front" of their hitbox like everything else. Since omni-directional targets are typically so big you can tell how they're facing by looking at them.
Nier new raid, that first boss ring is so big... probably too big.
We also need some center crosshair target not just the ring. Sometime the ring is covered by uneven ground or players. I wish there is a crosshair similar to lock on target but I don't want to lock on target due it messes my K&M movement.
I actually think they should section of the target ring if they are going to keep positionals in this game. Either put a big X in the center that extends to the outer edges or make the Flank positions different colors from the Front and Back. That way you can see the line where you need to stand for a positional and not have to move as much. On really big targets sometimes it's hard to imagine where that X is.
I like it so far but, as others have said, maybe change the sizing on the flank arrows so that it basically just looks more visually pleasing. When out of combat, it does feel a bit strange seeing it on NPCs but I'm guessing that's more just due to it being new than being bad. Once I get used to it like the old target indicator I probably won't even notice it.
Yeah, they look fine here:

They look kind of sloppy and distracting here, though:

Why don't they properly scale all the way down so they always look nice like in the 1st picture? They'd still be perfectly readable for their intended purpose even if they were scaled down that far. Because they're designed well enough that even if they got smaller they are still clearly arrows, with a back and a front, that point in a certain direction.
Anyway, like I said in my other post, even if they don't change I'll eventually get used to them. They have merit and were a nice addition to the game, because even I have found myself getting lost on which direction a monster is facing sometimes (big shoutout to the hot/cold boss in dulubrum)
I like it aside from the lack of scaling of the side rings on smaller circles. I still think the inner circle is kind of useless though.
