Calling out viera for same-face syndrome while using the most used au ra face around.

That's proving my point though? Im not attacking you, every race looks the same, it's an issue for everyone. Even the less common faces have clones. I'm more concerned with that than everyone looking samey because of lifted restrictions, even though I don't even think that would be the outcome anyway.

You have no point. You specifically named viera. I'd say viera look samey for having no possibility of headgear/hairs otherwise they have just as many options as anyone else - except elezen who have two.
Also, I don't know what actual "point" you were making since I didn't actually read your posts.
Removing locks on glamour is a complete waste of resources when things like viera could use hats.
Don't take it personally, I actually don't care what point you think your making is. I don't read most people's posts on this forum.
Also, to the point of this thread a lot of people want the hempens adapted to the other races, because they want boobies. Au Ra have this awful nighty. Personally, I think miqo'te have the best one. midlander hempen set has nasty undyable portions arond the neck.
Also, don't take my post too serious. I was making a joke. The Au Ra I use uses your same face, and I use the same hairstyle as most other au ra with black hair. It was self-deprecation if anything.
Then why did you respond to me when I wasn't even talking to you lol, you also clearly read enough of my post to take an isolated quote from it just so you could make an Epic Clapback about it without even considering the context in why I brought it up in the first place.
I mean I don't know how I could have known this, people are too unpredictable these days so I just take everything at face value
No thank you. Give us more race specific gear not less.
I don’t believe artists designing clothes that are gendered increases workload to a substantial enough amount that would warrant making everything the same for everyone. I also don’t believe that retroactively going back and “unlocking” ALL past gear would be worth the resources spent. It’s nice when they go back and do a few one-off unlocks on glamour sets but I don’t see it being done for actual gear above level 1. There’s way too much.
That said, a new one-off set of gear designed specifically for your race would be neat. It would be a nice showcase of the racial option we chose and be a spot of variety in a world where the modelers are getting lazy and long eared people who aren’t viera or hrothgar are getting the same hats and helmets as everyone else now and tail holes or gear modeled to not clip through tails are things of the past. I can’t play miqo anymore since the tail clipping jars me on a different level.
You had mentioned that people only complain when things are different between races or genders. That’s kind of a weird argument to make. Of course when there’s an option that some people can’t have, there will be people who complain and want it. And besides, not everyone on the forums is complaining. Just the loud people. And the forums are not representative of the player base either. But making everything the same moving forward just to stop complainers and to stop us from thinking about possible gendered options is kind of a dystopian, boring choice to make. I might want to wear the male versions of some clothes but I’m not going to let it ruin my day and I’d rather dev work be spent in other places where it matters more rather than going back and changing everything.
If you don’t want to look like generic girl #4687, then get more creative with your glamour or accept that it’s a popular look and don’t let it bother you. If I had a problem with other people looking like me, I wouldn’t be viera. Especially since there’s already an established default of dark skin and white hair for previous editions of viera. But I would like to think that I have enough fashion sense to stand out from the crowd when I want to. Yet at the same time, when a neat looking glam or gear option comes out, I don’t mind looking like all the other women for a little bit if I want to dress for myself.
I don't think going back and changing everything sounds very feasible either but at the very least starting to do it now moving forward with new things sounds more fair. I don't want everything to be some same everything dystopia either but it's just one potential suggestion in response to the issue. But I also think about that in response to viera not getting to at least use the new hair or helmets either, one thing to go back and do it all and another to just ignore the new ones too until later? Idk
Also honestly most outfits are pretty unisex anyway so it's not even like we're that far off from said dystopia, especially with the popular trendy outfits that come and go. I was more or less just trying to say that giving more options on either gender would be a nice way to give more variety between players and not less
I'm not really that bothered by looking samey either, I mainly just really happen to want a lot of the things that guys have (like that new crafted fending set as one example, or the valentines suit.) I also happen to be really picky when it comes to making unique glams because I tend to refuse anything that looks like the wrong texture or color etc so I don't have too many of those, I pay too much attention to that stuff so I prefer using premade stuff really ): Again I was just talking about this in response to what you said on removing gender locks = less diversity
I also can't help but dislike the resources argument just because it seems whatever they do put time into just ends up being bad and lazy for one reason for another, like the fishing boat thread, or the blu stuff etc. I mean at least you can't possibly go wrong with letting both genders wear both future variants in upcoming stuff right? Meh.
